Re: Playlist of the Week(music)

Life Of Illusion
Joe Walsh

Sometimes I can't help the feeling that I'm
Living a life of illusion
And oh, why can't we let it be
And see through the hole in this wall of confusion
I just can't help the feeling I'm
Living a life of illusion
Pow! Right between the eyes
Oh, how nature loves her little surprises
Wow! It all seems so logical now
It's just one of her better disguises
And it comes with no warning
Nature loves her little surprises
Continual crisis

I like to stab mine with forks.(joke)
There's heartbreak in that puddle of vibes.

Stick it in, give it a quick twist, let it bleed clean.

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)

I was sorting through my music yesterday, ripping and burning Cd's. I hadn't played the Evanescence album for a while and my two favourites from the album are Imaginary, which I think should have been called Paper Flowers, it's definitely a Piscean/Neptunian type song to me. Also the song Hello which is very haunting. I also remembered how much I used to play the Final Fantasy games, (on video for hello) I was obsessed with them. Although the last couple I bought were not as good as the other final fantasy's.

Songs & Lyrics

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=PXGDsL...eature=related

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=F0ShYd5ruB8

Paper Flowers (OK imaginary )

I linger in the doorway
Of alarm clocks screaming
Monsters calling my name
Let me stay
Where the wind will whisper to me
Where the raindrops
As they're falling tell a story

In my field of paper flowers
And candy clouds of lullaby
I lie inside myself for hours
And watch my purple sky fly over me

Don't say I'm out of touch
With this rampant chaos -your reality
I know well what lies beyond my sleeping refuge
The nightmare I built my own world to escape

In my field of paper flowers
And candy clouds of lullaby
I lie inside myself for hours
And watch my purple sky fly over me

Swallowed up in the sound of my screaming
Cannot cease for the fear of silent nights
Oh how I long for the deep sleep of dreaming
The goddess of imaginary light

Hello

Playground schoolbell rings again
Rainclouds come to play again
Has no one told you she's not breathing?
Hello, I am your mind
Giving you someone to talk to
Hello

If I smile and don't believe
Soon I know I'll wake from this dream
Don't try to fix me, I'm not broken
Hello, I am the lie
Living for you so you can hide
Don't cry

Suddenly I know I'm not sleeping
Hello, I'm still here
All that's left of yesterday

LOL,
battle stations Warf!

I want to thank all for the good music, haven't had a chance to listen to it all....

It wouldn't be a list without.......
Stairway To Heaven

Theres a lady whos sure
All that glitters is gold
And shes buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows
If the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and shes buying a stairway to heaven.

Theres a sign on the wall
But she wants to be sure
cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
In a tree by the brook
Theres a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.

According to 'them' from 'here' ---> http://www.inthelight.co.nz/ledzep/stairway.htm
"The piper alludes to the Pied Piper (of Hamelin), http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pied_Piper_of_Hamelin - imagery for an inner calling that seems to pull us along. In western occultism, once a student has begun upon the path the next phase is known as “the pull of the way”. You are on the path, and in time it will lead you to happiness. The forests echoing with laughter suggests that those watching through the trees (previous verse) will rejoice when the rest of us catch up and join them."

and yet from here... http://www.goldenessays.com/free_ess...zeppelin.shtml
"The Piper represents Sin. The Pied Piper, who led children to their deaths is the metaphor used here. The piper or Sin will lead them to their deaths. The tune is the meaning of life. A new day will dawn for those who stand long, means those who don’t follow temptation will see a new day come, and their happiness is the laughter echoing through the forest.

<--------the piper?

Ocean of Noise...

A bit like if Chris Issack, and Roy Orbison had a child,
just heard this today,
there is something grandoise about it.

Julie,
I still havn't listened to any of these by September, lyrics look great though.

Warf,
Take a bath...Ok?
That stuff get's sticky after awhile, ya may pick up a nasty rash.

Ocean of Noise Lyrics:
In an ocean of noise
I first heard your voice
Ringing like a bell
As if I had a choice, oh well!

Left in the morning
While you were fast asleep
Into an ocean of violence
A world of empty streets

You've got your reasons
And me I've got mine
But all the reasons I gave
Were just lies to buy myself some time

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)

I don't listen to a lot of the songs either, I like reading the lyrics I enjoy it when video's are posted with lyrics. September is my favorite dance singer, I have been waiting for her first album to arrive, the mercury retrograde delayed it. I have re-ordered it so it should be here today, yay . I have different taste in music from sad songs , dance songs, to indie, to cheesy pop. I buy it all if I like it. I hate being pigeonholed to just like one kind of music just to be cool. The more uncool the better (only joking I have to like it). Good lyrics you posted T.square, I must be having some transits affecting me now as I am loving music, poetry, and art all the more at the moment. I will have to get back into my movies as well or television. I think there is thread for movies not sure for general television, I am in the mood to hunt out some television for some reason.

I Particularly like these lyrics

Left in the morning
While you were fast asleep
Into an ocean of violence
A world of empty streets

I Feel It All-Feist

I'm in love.

Great vid too, like the fireworks......I wonder if she got in in take 1, I suppose it would be a bit rough setting up take 2, or 3, bit like setting up dominoes.

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)

Radiohead (I've been obsessed with them lately- perhaps it was because of their touring in my city):
*Nude
*Paranoid Android
*Climbing Up The Walls
*House of Cards
*Jigsaw Falling Into Place

Hedwig and the Angry Inch:
*The Origin of Love
*Midnight Radio
*Wig In a Box
*Wicked Little Town

I want that new Coldplay album.... Or at least Viva La Vida....I wanna hear the song in its entirety now. Am I the only one who has seen the Apple commercial with that song?

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)

I love George Harrison, his lyrics wakes me up.

The Art of Dying
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsiDnGtTcyU

There'll come a time when all of us must leave here
Then nothing sister mary can do
Will keep me here with you
As nothing in this life that Ive been trying
Could equal or surpass the art of dying
Do you believe me?

There'll come a time when all your hopes are fading
When things that seemed so very plain
Become an awful pain
Searching for the truth among the lying
And answered when youve learned the art of dying
