Re: Playlist of the Week(music)
I heard this was good....arcade fire and David Bowie-wake up-Live
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-wEB...eature=related
I havent watched all of it yet....$%^&@*% 56K.
Not bad for an old fart..it's not easy to pack a punch like that...lot's of energy there from the whole bunch..and live..held their place while moving arround...you can see little errors don't stop them..pretty unyeilding....POW..it'd been great to be there...why do I miss this stuff?..
What bothers me is people are sitting...like someone said in youtube....there are even empty seats...uhhhh...
Heather is Hot.

PS: watched the THE THE vids... recognised it right away...I was wondering who that was...THanksMoulin,
and Made it to the Pretender as well, like that one too LTJ Foo Fighters Rock.
Someday I wont have 56K.

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)
I love September. I really like this song as the lyrics are wonderful, she has done a lot of amazing songs. This one is great blasted out of my stereo.
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=KMdzqIFanh4
It get's dark and a shiver moves across my skin.
There are stars but the cloudy skies won't let them in.
I'm gonna write few words and I hope they carry all the way.
Back to the start of this girl
When she still had something good to say.
Seventeen
and you know exactly what you need
Twenty two
and they still see something great in you.
But no one tells you a word.
About the lonely echo in your heart.
When it's been filled up with hurt
and your whole world starts to come apart

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)
I've been listening to this full blast in my car lately, GORGEOUS!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-XldXGxqDk
I hear the drums echoing tonight
But she hears only whispers of some quiet conversation
She's coming in twelve-thirty flight
Her moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide me towards salvation
I stopped an old man along the way
Hoping to find some old forgotten words or ancient melodies
He turned to me as if to say: "Hurry boy, it's waiting there for you"
[Chorus:]
It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do
I bless the rains down in Africa
Gonna take some time to do the things we never had

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)
The Doors
-Indian Summer-
Lyrics:
I love you the best
Better than all the rest.
I love you the best
Better than all the rest.
That I meet in the summer.
Indian summer.
That I meet in the summer.
Indian summer.
I love you the best
Better than all the rest.
Ravi Shankar
-Tala-Tabla Tarang-
Patti Smith
-Pis s Factory-
Lyrics:
Arcade Fire/Bowie
-Wake Up-
Lyrics:
Somethin ’filled up
my heart with nothin’,
someone told me not to cry.
But now that.. I’m older,
my heart’s .....colder,
and I can see that it’s a lie.
Children. wake up,
hold your mistake up,
before they turn the summer into dust.
If the children don’t grow up,
our bodies get bigger but our hearts get torn up.
We’re just a million little god’s causin rain storms turnin’ every good thing to rust.
I guess we’ll just have to adjust.

Tom Petty/Heartbreakers
-Cassadega-
Lyrics:
Well the clouds... go by In the big... blue sky and the sun... beats down on Cassadaga
And the moon... pulls the tide And the tide... brings night But the night is more than just night in Cassadaga
Oh , Baby now,.. I think I’m starting to believe the things that I’ve heard. 'Cause tonight in Cassadaga I hang on every word [deleted overly-long quote of copyrighted text - Moderator]

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)
I love Ravi Shankar, I had a CD of his but it disapeared. Lovely music!
Here is George Harrison's 'Let it Roll - Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp'. This melody reminds me of a summer day, melting in the summer sun!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6J0MxAl18es
Let it roll across the floor
Through the hall and out the door
To the fountain of perpetual mirth
Let it roll for all it's worth
Find me where ye echo lays
Lose ye bodies in the maze
See the lord and all the mouths he feeds
Let it roll among the weeds
Let it roll
Let it roll down through the caves
Ye long walks of coole and shades
Through ye woode, here may ye rest awhile
Handkerchiefs to match your tie
Let it roll

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)
I quite like this song by Duffy. Really sad song, I like the way she cries throughout the video it makes the song believable.

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)
Another sad song today. I adore this song, and I love the video to it. I heard the song before I had seen the video made for it. Usually when I imagine a music video to go with a song, It is nothing like the music video that gets made. This is a video I would have put with this song, it works beautifully. Another broken relationship song, I will have to think of some happy love songs next time I visit T.Squares D.J Box.

Remember what I told you
Your face won't let you hide the pain
You let me get to know you
And now it's driving me insane
Baby, we were never soldiers
You and me couldn't never fight
for things we don't believe

Mmmm mmmm, I've changed my mind!!
Great trip back in time this one, by The Cardigans 'Erase and Rewind'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ex2E4vyGem0
Hey, what did you hear me say
you know the difference it makes
what did you hear me say
Yes, I said it's fine before
But I don't think so no more
I said it's fine before
I've changed my mind
I take it back
Erase and rewind
'cause I've been changing my mind
Erase and rewind
'cause I've been changing my mind
I've changed my mind

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)
A song for a long Saturn transit , by Sting and the Police.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGnqjZFdhkY
Well, someone told me yesterday
That when you throw your love away
You act as if you dont care
You look as if youre going somewhere
But I just cant convince myself
I couldnt live with no one else
And I can only play that part
And sit and nurse my broken heart, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely
[deleted overly-long quote of copyrighted text - Moderator]

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)
It's beginning to get to me Snow Patrol
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vt5-mIeRoU
I wanted something
That's purer than the water
Like we were
It's not there now
Ineloquence and anger
Are all we have
Like Saturn's rings
An icy loop around me
Too hard to hold

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)
Ah! I should warn you people. I'm quite into the heavy music Metalhead
In Extremo - In diesem licht
(you know why, because in german it says: "Nobody has seen a God in you". It has some beautiful arabic like sounds. Oh yes, and guitars. Welcome to folk metal)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cWTXeGokaM
Evergrey - Lost
I'm anticipating their new album... which will be in September. Lost is a really heartwrenching song for me. I'm not exactly sure why, but it's beautiful.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxvWGSWRLOw
Ensiferum - One more magic potion
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iXwkUUmdZ4
This always makes me feel incredibly free. It's also folk metal (finnish). Since I'm from Nothern Europe as well, it makes me proud to be one.

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)
Idioteque
Who's in bunker?
Who's in bunker?
Women and children first
And the children first
And the children
I'll laugh until my head comes off
I'll swallow till I burst
Until I burst
Until I
Who's in bunker?
Who's in bunker?
I have seen too much
You haven't seen enough
You haven't seen it
I'll laugh until my head comes off
Women and children first
And children first
And children
