Translation of light question.

Can a main significator also be a translator of light between another main significator and a cosignificator?

For example: Mercury in Libra at 15'15" and Jupiter in Gemini at 15'38" as main significators and Venus in Leo at 15'54" as a cosig. Mercury as the fastest moving planet of the three separates from a trine with Jupiter and applies via sextile to venus.

Thanks!

Hi,

Can a main significator also be a translator of light between another main significator and a cosignificator?

Yes, it can. In your e.g. Mer can transfer light from Venus to Jup. The concept of translation of light you have understood, as your example delineates it well.

Thanks AQ7. Can translation of light also involve a square aspect either separating or applying or must it be one that is harmonious?

Hi again,

Thanks AQ7. Can translation of light also involve a square aspect either separating or applying or must it be one that is harmonious?
Yes, any of the major aspects work. I think that initially Lilly considered conjunction, but trines, sextiles, squares, oppositions, all work. Understandably, with squares and oppositions, the result will be less favourable. In fact, even retrogrades work. So, one planet applying to another in retrograde motion also works.
