Obama gets the credit for the pre-existing conditions coverage. Trump was going to eliminate it until he was informed that it would be a VERY unpopular decision.

Trump's had over 3 years to get a functional healthcare plan in place. He's a blowhard, only out for power and adulation. He REALLY doesn't care about the American people. That's what I've been attempting to explain to you.

And as a result premiums on health-care doubled or tripled under Obama.:lol:

Maybe Trump can do better. He certainly lowered prescription costs. Maybe he'll get lower premiums along pre-existing conditions. Thats why it is huge if he pulls it off.

The clause about pre-existing conditions is a heavy one.
It puts the insurance companies in a difficult situation, which of course is costly and gets passed on to the consumer.
Not sure about this one.

I know J.A.'s. game: The basic premise is that BOTH Parties are evil and corrupt. They're the two wings of an evil bird of prey. Best way to destabilize the bird, is to unbalance it by grotesquely pumping up the Right-wing, and weakening the Left. That will enable a more equitable economic system to develop, once the situation becomes intolerable enough. Supporting Trump is the fastest way to prove that the current system needs changing.

I agree to some extent, but I believe a better system will develop naturally, without first having to deliberately hurt the disadvantaged and damage the environment and the wilderness. The wage-slave system we have now will evolve into something better on its own, as we transition into the Aquarian Age. Just be patient.

"wage-slave system"

David, would you like to better define what you mean by this?
You seem to be fascinated by occult conspiracy theories, but this phrase seems exaggerated even for you.

Elana, you appear to have bought into the vote-by-mail-fraud conspiracy theory. It has no factual basis of any significance, but will be used to claim the election was "rigged" in the likely event that Biden wins the Popular vote by a huge margin.

In-person-voting also has a miniscule amount of cheating, like vote-by-mail. Not enough to significantly change the outcome of the election though.

Not sure about this one.

Could be done with the right incentives for companies, which would require tax deductions for having clients with pre-existing conditions (this would actually make health-insurance companies seek out people with pre-existing conditions).

So far Trump has been doing very well with these economic decisions.

The only issue he will face is the rising stock market bubble, which could have a negative impact in the economy come December - January 2021.

It's so obvious to anyone watching Biden talk that he is at the early stages of dementia.
With all the candidates who presented themselves in the original DNC debates, why did it come down to this poor soul who in reality should just be retired to a comfortable old age home?
How could he possibly debate Trump or anyone else?

It isn't obvious to me. He did have a stutter that he has had to overcome. He seems quite lucid. He is not the best orator though. He just isn't. I think he's stepped up to the plate and is doing well. He wasn't my first choice, but he just might do a good job as President.

I think he's stepped up to the plate and is doing well.

He's done nothing for the past 5 months, staying locked in his house, occassionally giving some awkward interviews to democrat-affiliated news organisations. How is that "stepping up to the plate and doing well"?

Biden is just the anti-trump vote. He is not a good candidate and is not really doing well. He is just hoping enough people will want to vote Trump out of office, which is unlikely to occur.

We should have (as does every other civilized, industrialized nation) most western countries except for the USA, should have Universal Health Care for ALL.
We will have it in the future, and likely love it once we do as do most Europeans and Canadians. Insurance companies are in business to make the most profit possible, and they do this by denying claims. They are not in business to help people get well. That IS the problem in this country which too many fear progress.

As for denying pre-existing conditions -

According to new estimates from the Center for American Progress, 135 million people under age 65, or about half of nonelderly people, have a preexisting condition that an insurer could use to discriminate against them if they ever sought coverage through the individual market

Arthritis, high blood pressure, these are common maladies in our society and in most if not ALL western societies.

The Benefits of the Universal Health Care Coverage.

The main advantage of universal healthcare is that more people can access better health care, which leads to a healthier nation and reduced number of health-related deaths. There is also reduced bankruptcy which results from medical costs. The system also promotes equality as anyone who subscribes to the medical plan receives the same treatment.

IF Joe Biden is not elected in 2020 Nov., then the country will delay the need for the rebuilding of a society that is fair and equitable for all. Transiting Pluto over Sibley's natal Pluto will have the last say.

Eventually, when this country recovers in a new form from the ashes, we will have Health Care for ALL> as a right not a privilege.

I live in a country with a universal socialist health system for all.
Whenever I need something, I normally land up going privately and paying out of pocket if I want quality services. Or if I need it in a normal amount of time.
There are some advantages, but the problems outweigh the advantages.
In addition, the government runs the health system like it runs most other things, poorly and less efficiently, with lots of grease for all.
