My name is Julie and I am from the UK. I have not had much time to look through the forum yet but am hoping to delve into it in the next few weeks so for now his is hello!

I have always been interested in astrology among other things. It has not sparked much interest until the this year where I feel a pull to learn more about it. Maybe I will learn why most of the famous people I see on tv/magazines that I find very attractive are Gemini although in real life it is always Leo's and Sagittarius I am drawn to ;-)

I have do not know how to do charts or anything but I really want to know how to make an in depth one.

I know that I am Pisces with a Cancer Moon and my rising sign is Scorpio. All the water signs right? I don't know what this means but I want to know more.

This looks like a great place to start!

and learn by discussion with each other - some of us are very new to astrology,
whereas others have decades of experience, dr. farr for example has fifty years plus astrological study to his credit :smile:

Hi Julie :) I'm still new here too. There's lots and lots of reading involved so be prepared! Lol. But I find that the more I read and learn, the more fascinating astrology becomes. There are times where it becomes a brain-overload though...lol. Have fun. :)

that allows one to search in time for aspects between planets to then build complex search criteria as necessary - all online and free

Ok, so from what I am reading (slowly as I am at work tonight so progress is slow) I need to do a Natal chart? I can do this myself? Can I do it online?

I am thinking if I do my own I can understand more of what I am looking at and reading I guess. Does that make sense? I suppose starting with yourself gives you a better feel for others in the future?

I guess being initated is always a better way for any science but many of us have made their way in Astrology by their own, reading and exploring their own natal chart, detecting easily all the dirty little secrets and the comedy of life, the imitation of life, in their own chart... After a period of studying, you can think about helping others but actually, in a first time, the others are just laboratory rats... You can't count too much on your knowledge or your intuition to be really helpful in the beginning but one day, it will naturally come, and you'll feel blessed !
Even though, you can impress some of your friends in a spectacular way, very quickly. I's not really serious but it's fun !
