Does anyone understand firdaria?

I know it's a medieval time lord system that shows what planets govern certain sections of your life, but I don't know how to interpret it. I just had a chart created and this is what I got for the current section of my life:

13 Jul 2007: Venus-Venus
2 Sept 2008: Venus-Mercury
25 Oct 2009:Venus-Moon
16 Dec 2010: Venus-Saturn
7 Feb 2012: Venus-Jupiter
30 Mar 2013: Venus-Mars
22 May 2014: Venus-Sun

I don't understand how to interpret this. Does it work like synastry at all?

you have to try to look at a your life more thematically. especially when the first function changes sign.

Think of each planet as ruling a chapter (major) and then a few pages of your life (minor)

Planets give the effects promised in the natal chart; i.e. if your planet is debilitated and in a poor house and afflicted, you'll probably have a bad time, and vice versa if the planet is strong and well placed.

I really prefer vimshottari dasas. My fidaria or fidars or whatever just don't make sense to me. Try this online calculator out.
