speaking of Hollywood, how about a theme for Elizabeth Taylor. by Queen perhaps.

Elizabeth was a sol sign Aquarius (of course, public personality), and a sol rising and rising conjunct in Sagittarius (her trademark fire eyes and remarkable appearance)

By the way, in Music I notice my own favorites - these 5 who have SAG SOL SIGN (60th harmonic sun) – JOHN LENNON, BRIAN WILSON, JAMES TAYLOR, PETER TOWNSEND, JACKSON BROWNE. I am a sun in Sagittarius, which suggests to me a synastry method and affinity by of sol sign to sun sign.

In music we find sign connections to those of the ones we may love. I notice bands with members with many sun signs similar to the sun, moon, rising, mars and venus will be favorites. Example - Love Fleetwood Mac who have a virgo, sag, cancer, gemini and libra sun signs. - I have moon in gem, mars in libra, rising virgo, sun sag, and uranus in cancer.

Pierce - Thanks for the plays.

My mom used to say that our Hollywood stars were our answer to British Royalty...that we really have an affinity and desire for being ruled by such and for adoring and admiring them. That a most of us Euro-Americans regret having to evolve out of that old world type of civilization. If so then Elizabeth Taylor would be one of the qualifiers for the title of Queen...There were a few that had as much adulation as Elizabeth...possibly even more but I can't recall any that had as much perceived 1st rate class... that pinnacle of noblesse... that Liz had.

Gorgeous piano ballad and my new favorite song. Discovered it on the new Amanda Palmer album, on which they do this song as a duet, which is the version going on my sigline, but I'll post his solo version recorded in his bedroom on this thread, since it's so intimate and lo-fi. Really beautiful.

Tom Dickins - Bad Wine and Lemon Cake

(If you like the song please listen to the duet as well. It has a unique haunting passion of it's own that really grabs me, and I hope grabs you, too.)

Ran across this number on the virtue of Andrew Bird's cover of the song, and I'm glad I did.

Very cool.

Lionel Basco and His Orchestra - Depression Pasillo

Great Jacques Brel cover by Beirut.

Beirut - Le Moribond & My Family's Role in the World Revolution

...there is, what is called, "Country Music" that is the overly slick, polished, and tailored **** that comes out of Nashville that is championed by a lot of shallow minded, smug and, so called, 'patriotic' Americans...then there is the "REAL DEAL"...folks, from the most part, rural areas...some from the cities...that are truly observant and unafraid to write and sing about what they see and how they feel with out any facades, moneyed sponsors or sucking up to 'The Establishment"'.
Here's a couple of tunes to get started on...I'll post more from time to time...

"Choctaw Bingo" Live...James McMurtry [son of the author]

"Puttin' People On the Moon" Drive By Truckers
