Hi everyone,

Thank you for letting me join your forum!
I am 34 years old and have been interested in astrology since I was a child. During my university years I put astrology aside, as it didn't easily fit into academia as I experienced it. I studied philosophy and literature, but after my masters I wanted to get away from university and the narrow mindedness that was frustrating to my hunger for personal creative and intellectual development. I went into a completely different direction and opened my own business without any formal training in business or the field I was getting into (although I did have experience). over the following years my business went through the roof, but I wasn't able to process and act as fast as everything was happening. After three years of almost no sleep or proper nourishment I fell apart, relationships started to crumble, finally my business went bankrupt. 2018 was the year I literally lost everything of my former "life" - except for my dear beloved boyfriend, who has been with me through every hardship since two years now. I left my apartment with everything I owned, my memories, even my diploma, and took only one suitcase with me. It was a crazy year that taught me so much and one of the things I rediscovered was astrology. Actually I started getting back into it a few year ago, but last year working with the rhythm of the cosmos has helped me transform and regenerate tremendously. Since January this year I started writing mini "weather reports" on IG that I love love writing so much and it really fills me with joy every day. I am having some crazy Uranus transits this year - my Sun is 6° Leo, my Lilith is 6° Taurus and, well, Uranus is stationing retrograde today at 6° Taurus! And I really don't know what to make of this action yet.
So yeah, I am really looking forward to sharing conversations with you, I hope to learn more about astrology and connect with other astrolovers!

Welcome! to vikoso

vikoso,

Welcome to the AW Forum and what an amazing introduction to astrology! As you have probably already done, looking back at the transits over the easy and the challenging years can give you insights over the lessons of the past.

Welcoming,

Tim

some navigation tips:

all are welcome - whether a TRADITIONAL astrologer or a MODERNIST astrologer
and
our forum hosts BOTH perspectives ON SEPARATE BOARDS

i.e.
our MODERN BOARD completely excludes traditional astrological comment
and
our TRADITIONAL BOARD completely excludes Modernist astrological comment

i.e.
We have a modernist board AS WELL AS a traditional board
and then
the rest of our forum is composed of GENERAL ASTROLOGY THREADS

i.e.
whether a member is using Vedic astrology
Chinese astrology, Western Sidereal Astrology, Modernist Astrology Traditional Astrology
ALL perspectives are welcomed on our General Astrology board threads
and any member
may comment on our GENERAL ASTROLOGY BOARD using ANY astrological methodology

our HELP WITH FORUMS AND SUGGESTIONS board is at

to be clear then
our TRADITIONAL ASTROLOGY ONLY board
is at
http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum...splay.php?f=92

For discussions on Traditional Astrology only.
Note: Typically, traditional astrology is defined as using techniques developed prior to 1700 by astrologers from the Hellenistic, Persian, Hebrew, and Renaissance eras.
Specifically it relies on Ptolemaic aspects sextile, trine, square, opposition and conjunction
and excludes modern planets Neptune, Uranus and Pluto
non-Ptolemaic aspects, as well as any asteroids.
The focus is less on what would be considered modern psychological chart interpretation
and more on prediction.
Members who wish to explore a combination of traditional and modern ideas
should feel free to start a new thread in an appropriate forum for further discussion.

our MODERNIST ASTROLOGY ONLY board
is at https://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=95
For discussions on Modern Astrology only.
Note: Typically, modern astrology is defined as using techniques developed around the late 1800s by Theosophists.
Specifically it relies on psychological, evolutionary, karmic, and non-western interpretation approaches
and includes Neptune, Uranus and Pluto
and non-Ptolemaic aspects.
The focus is more on psychological chart interpretation instead of prediction.

Thank you Tim And JupiterAsc for the welcome and all the information.
Let's see if I manage to attach my chart :)

I remember last year on the exact day & time Uranus was stationing retrograde I was feeling drowsy and wobbly all day - even though I had slept & eaten and was well generally. We were sitting together after dinner, having conversations, when I suddenly felt like I was melting. I decided to go upstairs and have a glass of water & lay down to rest and while I was walking the stairs I started blacking out, in like flashes. I tried to stay conscious and took deep breaths and barely made it to the sink and poured myself some water. I was so thirsty! Just as my lips felt the cool water come into my body, I faint and fall and black out. I think I was gone for about 30 seconds, and I wasn't unconscious, I was just in another place, somehow abstractly noticing that I fell face down and my lip was bleeding, but although I could feel the seconds pass, time was so slow and everything seemed black around me, but not like closed eyes, more like standing in darkness without a body. I had some profound realizations, but I can't recall what they were exactly. I had just gone through a miscarriage about 7 weeks before and was very much focused on healing my body and grieving my lost child. I know it had something to do about my health, some changes I had to make. Also I had this vision of my thyroid, which I think was "responsible" in some way for my body blacking out, but I am still working on figuring that one out :) I felt beaten up when I woke up into my body again, but apart from a few bruises and a bleeding lip I was fine.
Today I felt a few tingles in my body that reminded me of that buzzing black out, which reminded me that it happened "same day" last year - when Uranus stationed retrograde. Remembering this episode was really healing, because instead of anxiety rising up about what is wrong with me, I was able to feel deep gratitude for the recovery/healing I have made over the past year.

I am sharing this mainly because I love writing and sharing my experiences with others - if this is impolite, please let me know. This is my first forum participation since I was a teenager so I'm a bit rusty :)
