my backgorund in astrology:
I do peoples charts all the time with some astrology software, but it doesnt offer much information on vocation.
For virgo in the 12th house it just says 'work in a research lab' which doesnt help much
someone told me that virgo in the 11th house means I get focused on details when I use computers

Im not sure if the moon is an acurate "career" planet- its more about (subconscious) emotional issues in connection with mother & home - I find people with moon in H7 tend to use a partner as a "REFLECTION" of their own emotions - you are very relationship oriented, i dont like to focus on the negative bu something H7 moon must realize that your 'partner" cannot abosorb all your negativity - a partner is for support & sharing.
That being said moon in TAURUS H7 craves comfort & stability which is why you are concered about your "work" - coupled with cancer on H10-cusp> H10 Saturn - a career in real estate, cooking or simply NURTURING the public are ideal. First you must be sure you know how to nurture yourself & not be dependant on "other" to provide all the emotional security in your business partnerships as well as personal....Best of luck xoxo C*

With Mars right on the midheaven, the very first thing I thought was: military. Or police. Or fire-service. With Mars there, you need to *do* something active. Cancer is protective.
You have Jupiter in the 9th. Go back to Uni, love, and get a higher degree in something. Uni is good for 9th house Jupiterians. I should know: I've gone back to Uni at least six or seven times now. I love it.

I don't like the sound of fireman,army or police because they are not cerebral enough.
The first time I went to Uni was a bad experience and I have had nightmares about being late for class or not being able to find the classroom ever since.
This probably means I should go back.

I would like to go into politics to try and raise awareness of the libertarian party...

There are lots of things you can do for the protective services that are very cerebral: forensics, either physical (medical) or computer forensics, for example. Both are very demanding and require a great degree of specialised skill. You don't have to work directly for them; you can work with them, or contract to them, etc. In any case, you will need to find the way to be 'boss' of something, with a Mars like that!
I have the same trouble deciding what to be when I grow up, and I, too, need to be the boss of something, which is why I married Mr. Archergirl. But I've decided to stick to my current job for awhile...it's not perfectly suited, but it's close enough for the time being, and offers me a lot of opportunities to get new skills, etc. This is difficult for me because, like you, I get bored VERY easily.
I have dreams about being late for classes, as well. Retrain at Uni; you're older now and will have more success at it.
