That's a royalty effect. Saturn as King, instead of Jupiter.

The tropical Age of Capricorn has Saturn as the great power, with Jupiter 2nd, although still very powerful. That doesn't bother me, possibly because I myself have Saturn in Leo. Glad it's way out of orb with my Moon in Aqua.

If I move out of Element (since Saturn is in very early Leo and the Sun is in very late Pisces, Jupiter in very late Scorpio), and just go with the geometry, those 3 placements form a Grand Trine in my Chart.

So the dignity of 12/12 is based on your birth chart, huh?

That's bias.

Works for transits as well.
Rudy, EVERYONE is biased, based on one's Natal-chart. Should have thought that would be obvious.

Oh, I see what you mean. No, they have nothing to do with my Chart. They inform my Chart, not the other way around.

Agree, it's just funny to me (personally) when you said in 12/12, Saturn and Moon are natural ruler of Leo and Aquarius respectively.

It's quite contradict with the mainstream, so what's the reason behind these theory of dignity?

No, a part when I said "bias" was just a guess.

There's different types of Rulerships in 12/12. These were Exalted-rulerships. But, the foundation of the basic pattern-structure is Domicile-rulership. Both Saturn and the Moon are Domicled as is usual in the mainstream. It's about the transition of one Sign into another, Direct-motion, and a matchup of Modalities and Elements.

Re: Random Thoughts, strictly Text

OUR VERY FORTUNATE CAUSES AND CONDITIONS

Reading from
'Song of the Four Mindfulnesses'
by the Seventh Dalai Lama

"....To have all the eight qualities and ten endowments of a perfect human rebirth is almost a unique chance..."

Those of you who don’t know, read about the eight qualities
and ten endowments.
The information is in all Lamrim texts
and also in Lamrim teachings.

But just briefly this:

the ten endowments are divided into two:
five from the point of view of time
and five from the point of view of the individual.
It is actually very obvious:
I can see, I can hear, I can understand. I can communicate.
Time wise, Buddha’s teaching is still alive;
we can still connect with the living tradition
and obtain total enlightenment.
These ten endowments give us the opportunity.

The eight leisures are also easy to follow.
If you are in the hell realms you have no time to practice.
As a hungry ghost you are too hungry to practice.
In the animal realms you are too dull to have an opportunity
to practice.
If you are reborn in the samsaric god realms,
there is too much pleasure, so you won’t be able to practice.
In the demi-god realms there is too much anger and jealousy;
so you won’t have an opportunity to practice.

But in the human realm we do have the opportunity.
"...and it is also extremely rare
to hear the complete teachings and to have time to put them into practice."
This is true.
Let’s say this was the 1930s in America or anywhere in Europe.
If you were to look for Buddhism you wouldn’t find anything at all.
Also, in a couple of decades from now
it won’t be here anymore either.
This is really the period in between
where you can really gain something.
In the second half of the 1900s and now in the 2000s
there is a unique opportunity
because something had happened in this country to open it up.
We have to thank the people of the 1960s for that.
They opened up the human mind to this possibility.
It was the beatnik poets and others
who tried to explore the human mind.
If they hadn’t done that in the 1960s
we wouldn’t be doing this today, for sure.
The opportunity has come to us just at the right time
~ Gelek Rimpoche, The Four Mindfulnesses, 2009, p. 13

Re: Random Thoughts, strictly Text

Here's the rulership scheme of 12/12 that David wrote on the forum in December of 2018.

https://www.astrologyweekly.com/foru...3&postcount=32

I remember finding it convenient that a lot of David's placements picked up dignities in 12/12, but there is a larger rationale and pattern to the dignities that aren't based on his natal chart. (in contrast to how Morin was very keen on using his chart in his works and demonstrations, for the most part David doesn't hearken to his natal chart much.)

David, Saturn as great power/number 1 is solely because of the tropical age of Capricorn? Jupiter is only relegated to 2nd place because of the age, meaning that in every other age Jupiter is "king"? I know according to your system that Jupiter is "facilitated" by being in Aquarius while Saturn has nothing to do with the fixed air sign. So I imagine that Jupiter will be back in the driver seat in this next age.

In my honest opinion, if anyone believes the mass shooting stats that has basically every country save for the US at 2 or 1 or maybe 3 and then the US at a combination of those three numbers, they’re not too bright. The stats may or may not be recording correct data, but why would there be 3 major events around the time Epstein’s(corrected) being investigated and you can find a highly incriminating video on the internet involving HRC and a child?

So I wouldn’t pay much attention to charts of supposed mass shooters. Most are victims themselves

How can one be sympathetic or take more than a passing interest in cesspool stars. I would not be surprised if it's true that some of these sites are actually founded or driven in certain key respects by the US intelligence community. The new MKULTRA or mind control project. As a "generational call" I can imagine it being much more dangerous to a particular age range of people who view it as a dominant reality. A functioning immune system might prevent sensitive others from different generations from immersing there.

Re: Random Thoughts, strictly Text

The case I find most hilarious is the Valentine's day shooting in which there was evidence that the 'shooter' was actually leaving the school during the active shooter alarm while there were shots being fired. Not only that, but it was reported that there was more than one shooter. Also the kid had amazing aim

Then somehow several of those kids, one of whose parent's had links to the FBI, somehow became professional activists overnight. Regular high school students to activists just like that

One of the last shootings, it was also reported there was more than one shooter, but then that report got overwritten

Then I always wonder why certain shootings achieve massive news coverage and others don't regardless of fatality rates and location

I was looking up the Greek name for Aquarius when this amazing mechanism popped up. If you don't already know about it, enjoy: http://www.antikythera-mechanism.gr/

Has anyone seen it in exhibit?

Re: Random Thoughts, strictly Text

According to psychologists, playing violent video games, watching violent or pornographic material, all desensitize a person to violence - this has been countless times experimentally observed since Albert Bandura. Craig A. Anderson has received death threats for his research on video games in particular. So your president is correct that there exists a culture of glorified violence, notably exemplified by the fact that the average American child sees dozens of thousands murders and millions of violence acts. I partially base this on the following literature on the topic.

Anderson, C. A. (2004). An update on the effects of violent video games. Journal of Adolescence, 27, 113-122.
Archer, D., & Gartner, R. (1976). Violent acts and violent times: A comparative approach to postwar homicide rates. American sociological review, 937-963.
Geen, R. G., & Quanty, M. B. (1977). The catharsis of aggression: An evaluation of a hypothesis. Advances in experimental social psychology (Vol. 10). New York: Academic Press.
Robinson, T. N., Wilde, M. L., Navracruz, L. C., Haydel, K. F., & Varady, A. (2001). Effects of reducing children's television and video game use on aggressive behavior: A randomized controlled trial. Archives of pediatrics & adolescent medicine, 155(1), 17-23.
Wilson, S. J., & Lipsey, M. W. (2005). The effectiveness of school-based violence prevention programs for reducing disruptive and aggressive behavior. Revised Report for the National Institute of Justice School Violence Prevention Research Planning Meeting, May 2005.

''Astrologers'' may also be interested in studies on heat and violence - because there appears to be a direct correlation which the ancient astrologers intuitively knew.
Anderson, C. A., Anderson, K. B., Dorr, N., DeNeve, K. M., & Flanagan, M. (2000). Temperature and aggression. In M. P. Zanna (Ed.), Advances in Experimental Social Psychology. San Diego: Academic Press.

I want to make it clear - no one can be exposed to violent acts so many times that he decides to act upon it (as the usual personal anecdote answer goes), however, a person who is inclined to violence, might be desensitized by all these factors to act upon it - in this way exposure to violence does influence violence (as studies show time and time again). Exposure to violence never causes it to decrease - as the catharsis hypothesis has been almost universally rejected.

You’ll find that argument gets little traction with certain Americans, as our sciences and technology are firmly orbiting capital rather than the public interest. I do think you are correct, but it’s also not so simple - we have militarized consciousness, public service, public discourse, interpersonal relations, the economy so there are video game to real life pipelines.
I hear what you are saying about planetary heat, but this characteristic is incapable of distinguishing American natal charts in general from others globally, no?

The question then is if this so-called profit is greater than the possibility of diminished violence. I am sure that lost lives could have contributed to real life pipelines, but I am even more concerned about the effect upon the salvation of the people.

I am just saying that this particular astrological effect say of Sun in Leo is contributory not in relation to this incident, but in relation to the topic of astrology.

Oh, man. Have you been to churches here? A few decades ago the seminaries were “infiltrated” by the oligarchs on the right so that somehow Christianity became identified with a pro-gun, anti-social welfare fearful political stance. Now, the only permitted political action after a mass shooting is to offer “thoughts and prayers.” Believe me, we are all worried about the salvation of the people.

Are you saying more population-based crimes are committed during Leo month?

Because they don't fit the narrative of the media, and thus need to be concealed.
