Also that nursery rhyme about the days of the week!

Monday's child is fair of face, (This would be the moon)
Tuesday's child is full of grace, (Mars)
Wednesday's child is full of woe, (Mercury and woe?)
Thursday's child has far to go. (Jupiter)
Friday's child is loving and giving, (Venus)
Saturday's child works hard for a living, (Saturn)
But the child born on the Sabbath Day, (Sun ☀️)
Is fair and wise and good in every way.

You switched Tuesday, which is Mars (Martes), with Thursday (thunder god Thor, which relates to lightning god Jupiter).

So, "grace" would be about physical agility, and "far to go" is about traveling long distances.

I’m a child of the sun ☀️ Sunday! I love that the sabbath day has the longest roll call amongst the seven days. The creator must have been on a Sunday too “Is fair and wise and good in every way” . David, do you relate to the very very brief description of your birth (literal) day? I can say though I like the positivity from mine, I would love for every single day to be just as good as this nursery would promise for those born on Sunday lol

Friday. It's quite flattering. I always feel like I'm not giving enough.

Wednesday's child is full of woe, (Mercury and woe?)

That's the psychopomp side of Mercury. He's the liaison to the underworld, traveling back and forth between it and the land of the living. Escorting the newly dead into the afterlife was one of his jobs. That's not part of the Mercury myth we normally hear, but it is a role held by Mercury.

"Full of woe" in this case means highly sensitive. In tune with the other side. Fitting for the one who crosses to the underworld and back.

The English names for the days of the week (except Saturday, which sticks to Saturn) are for roughly equivalent Norse gods. Tiuw is the Norse god of war, Thor, like Jupiter/Zeus, throws lightning bolts; Friday's origin is believed to be either Frigg or Freya, depending on who you ask. Neither of them is directly analogous to Venus, but they both share some of her attributes.

Wednesday, though, has a more powerful namesake: Wodin. Who is the head god in the Norse pantheon, unlike Mercury, and Wodin's connection to the underworld is even more obvious in myth. He only has one eye because he sacrificed the other to gain wisdom. He hung himself and stayed on the edge of life and death for nine days and nights so he could understand the runes. There are lots of stories about him sacrificing himself. Full of woe makes even more sense if connected to Wodin.

It must be a severe case of the lack of giving :andy: because you sent this twice. Maybe if you did giving from a detached, nonchalant and humanitarian sort of way then the act of giving would feel comfortable :joyful:
