Astrologer:Analysis for Planetary influences required

Dear Members,

Wish to analyze few charts of well reputed astrologers to understand the Planetary influences required to become "Astrologer".

We can start with the following time of a very reputed astrologer of India. He was grandfather of Mr. B. V. Raman.

The information was obtained from the magazine " The Modern astrology" published by Ms. Gayatri Devi Basudeva.

All are welcome in the discussion including influences which may be noticed under western perspective.

2nd house is primary house for Astrology and 5th & 9th house supports it.
Similarly Mercury is primary karka for learning Astrology and Jupiter, Venus supports it. Similarly, airy signs signifies higher mind (religious, philosophy etc). Thus, a strong mercury & 2nd house & predominant airy sign should make a good astrologer. If it is strongly associated with 9th & 10th houses/lords then native can be astrologer by profession. Similarly, 5, 8 & 12 houses/lords may assist in creative intelligence, research and intuition.

In case of Late Sh B. S Rao case, Mercury & Saturn are very strong due to exchange yoga in 2nd & 10th houses. The 5th & 9th houses having same lords are also involved in this yoga.

Jupiter & Sun in 10th house also assist him in his profession. 8th & 12th houses are also involved to lesser degree thus making him a very successful & great astrologer.

Most of the clues in previous post are found here as well.

2nd lord in 10th house aspected by 10th lord where 10th lord is associated with 5 & 9th lord in 7th house in fiery sign. Fiery sign also signifies mind (although more physical level). Mercury is vargotama and also retrograde thus strong. 8th & 12th houses are also influencing 10th house.

So, strong Mercury, 2nd house and it's association with 10th house & other good yogas in horoscope shows promise in studying astrology.

In both the charts, 2nd lord and 10th lord are in a relationship.

B S Rao: 2nd & 10th exchanged houses mutually.

B V Raman; 2 L & 10 L are in 3rd relationship, where first planet aspects the other and that other is in house of the first planet and are not aspecting first planet.

Here, 10th lord Mars aspecting Jupiter ( 2nd Lord), who is sitting in house of Mars. Jupiter is not aspecting Mars.

In both the cases, 2nd house is strong (2nd house gives predictive ability).:

B S Rao: Friend Saturn is in 2nd house Gemini. Venus & Jupiter aspecting
2nd house.

B.V. Raman: Jupiter aspecting 2nd house ( own house). Mars ( 10 L) aspecting friend's house. Rahu in Pisces giving effect as Jupiter, being Shadowy planet.

It is evident again that Mercury forms rajyoga with exchange of houses 5 & 10 with Saturn thus strengthening Mercury further. The 2nd house has benefic Jupiter where as 2nd house lord is afflicted with Mars & Ketu but it should have helped him with research and intuition in field of astrology.

Jupiter is in 2nd house aspecting 10th house & Saturn ( 5th lord in 10th).

Further, Jupiter is in relationship ( 3rd relationship) with the second lord as follows:
Where first planet (JUPITER) aspects the other (VENUS)and first planet ( JUPITER) is in house of the other planet (VENUS) and other planet (VENUS) is not aspecting first planet (JUPITER), 3rd relationship is formed.

Again as explained by RishiManagalesh as follows:

"Mercury forms Rajyoga with exchange of houses 5 & 10 with Saturn"

I am sure other influences are also there, which can be analyzed by learned members.

ALL PLANETS CAN CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS MAKING A PERSON ASTROLOGER WHEN THEY ARE INVOLVED AS OWNERS ( LORDSHIPS) OF SIGNIFICANT HOUSES. RAHU & KETU CAL ALSO CONTRIBUTE VERY SIGNIFICANTLY IN INTUITIVENESS ( KETU) & PREDICTION CAPABILITY ( RAHU).

My recent study and research of charts show the following, though many more books are to be studied and many more charts to be analyzed yet.

Jupiter in 10th is very favourable for astrology. "Jupiter" represents "Astrologer". Others which are equally important are Mercury ( Mathematics cum astrology), Rahu suitably placed is rated high for good predictive ability, Saturn ( 10th lord of Kalpurushchakra representing Sky), Venus ( 2nd lord of Kalpurush chakra representing predictive capabiilty & speech), Sun in Adra constellation in 3rd & 4th pada can make oneself an astrologer ( Sun being 5th Lord[ intuition] in Kalpurush Chakra).
Ketu in 5th or other relevant houses is highly regarded for intuition.

Combination of important houses are also important.

Learned members should contribute more.
