Any insight on me getting back with my ex?

He is Pisces man and I am a Sagittarius woman. I hurt him by saying mean things. He loved me very much, but since he was forced to bear so much pain he distanced himself and broke up. We've broken up 3 months ago. I adressed the issues and read a lot about his zodiac sign - It turns out I didn't even realize that my playful manners could hurt him and I am convinced that I was being unsupportive without even realizing it. My question here is - How can i get him back after all of this? I struggled a lot and I adressed issues which caused me to act this way. It turns out I was simply overbearing and I didn't even acknowledge the fact that I might be wrong. How can he ever trust me after all of this and see that in fact, I've changed somehow, even though it seemed impossible. I would love to try again and show him my true feelings - not trying to hide or simply being afraid to commit. Will i ever gain his trust and faith that effort can do amazing things?
