Research that was conducted on prostitution. Interesting results.

I found this interesting astrological study that was conducted using the charts of career prostitutes. The results are kind of surprising, but make sense. Capricorn suns take the win for sun signs, and Venus Virgos take the win for Venus.

Obviously these results wouldn't be the same for those that are trafficked/forced into sexual slavery.

I thought it was an interesting study, from a learning standpoint. As I've seen this topic come up a few times in the forum over the years, with no conclusive results.

I have a friend in the business, but she has yet to tell me her birth time, she has to find it from her parents. I asked because she is such an amazing person, and all I know is that she's a Scorpio.

BF and I were watching Dave Attel's show were he shows pornographic movies and invites other comedians to commentate...
Not my finest hour... and I never saw more than three episodes.

But they did have little bios of the **** stars and I was suprised that the three I watched all were Pisces. BF saw the whole season and he kept calling them out to me as they were revealed. All Pisces apart from 1 Virgo I seem to recall.

I told that to my Pisces sister...and needless to say she took offense (Thats a cancer moon for ya! haha)

I saw this... I've known a couple with the Virgo Venus. I would have been interested in research on the aspects and houses as well though. I've seen Pluto/Venus aspects figure prominently also.

Pluto/Venus I think would be a requirement for most p*rn stars as well. Particularly oppositions.

what is LMBO?

Capricorn's know how to make money from things that other people aren't making money off of, capitalization of resources, and they don't usually enter a field unless they know what they can do, what it's worth and if there is money to be made from it.

Your study should likely have a tiered approach to it?

What if I told you I worked in the sex industry for several years? Not selling my goods, but covering the business transactions of the gals that sold theirs...

It was a side job for me, - as are most of the hook-ups of succesful working girls who aren't drug addled or sick crazy or pimped out.

There is a business end involved in prostitution - very Cappy - for those who are resourceful and who figure out early the difference between giving it away free and earning what it's worth.

I'm pretty much convinced, by own supportive and personal work experience, and by those of gals I've known over a lifetime - that the business-minded prostitute has engaged in less sex acts with strangers than a party girl drinker or a druggled addled girl on the street has.

The ones I speak of - the Capricorn types - run their business clean and clear and discretely and with restrictions, and they have clean and clear people in their life on top of it - along with houses, condos, cars and private schools for their children. Married or not.

The most valuable skill and talent in the world of a woman is pleasing herself by knowing how to please others while maintaining complete self control and direction.

I hope you can deal with that in your study. If you do - you will find Saturn or Capricorn...

Are you referring to me? If so, it wasn't my study and I have no relation to the website. Its something I found which was interesting from an astrological perspective and could be useful for research purposes on our forum; since its come up a few times before.

This is a very interesting study and I think the author explanations make sense.
However they seem to have trouble interpreting the finding that Pisces is the most common ASC
in the sample group.

I would like to suggest it is a confound, due to a possible third variable: drug use. The prevalence of drug abuse among prostitutes has been well documented. A Pisces ASC indicates possible substance abuse.

In the next study, the authors may want to control for drug use, either statistically or via sample group selection.

Strange because of all Earth signs, I'd have thought Taurus fits better.

I mean, isn't Virgo the sign of the potential virgin or celibate?

Maybe this is two sided though, and means that they have a cold repressed attitude to sex that could manifest into turning into pure business and nothing else.

Capricorn is surprising again because you think of it as very much about outward respectability. But again I have read a lot about them being pent up and having a repressed hidden side.


Maybe more generally, it needs earth dominant in a chart over water...
