I am having back surgery on March 25th and March 27th, 2019. It was so extensive that my doctor wanted to do it on two days. I am really terrified of surgery.

I’ve been through this before with my back before and I swore that I would never do it again. That doctor messed up 3 discs and destroyed two other discs.
I would be so greatful for any of your input. Thank you. This is my birthchart in San Francisco and the two surgery dates.

This is an update to my cancelled surgery in Seattle on Dec. 6, 2019. Waybread, Friziangal, and Unique Astrology, you wanted to know what happened.

Hello

Intense focus on your health using whole signs houses (sidereal).
5 planets transiting your 6th house of health + eclipse axis in 6th house at that time.

Surgery date seems ok to me. Unafflicted moon (for daily strength) mars is ok.
mercury direct.....eclipse date is a week later..that's good.
One should avoid surgery on days near an eclipse date 26th december.

Transiting jupiter in 6th house at that time is helpful for health improvements.

By 2020 this transiting pile will leave 6th house and other issues will replace probably...

There is no eclipse close to the date. YThoou talk about a December 26 eclipse date but my surgeries will be on March 25 and March 27, 2019

Sorry sleep deprivation here...
Thought it was cancelled and new one would be december 2019.
Do not pay attention to above post at all....

Is there any way to postpone? That is the strongest time of Mercury Retrograde and it's in Pisces (doctors).

No, absolutely not. My choice had been to have both surgeries on the same day, Feb 13, when Uranus was exactly conjunct Mars. Thedoctors have changed my date 8 times. I am laying in a hospital bed in excruciating pain in a rental condo.

Hi again Kate,

With no given time for surgery dates, the charts can't really offer any info. regarding 'the moment'.

I am therefore looking at transits to the natal chart for the dates concerned (if they don't change yet again!!).

Although using Western astrology and the Placidus house system, I had similar thoughts to Shanti that surgery dates showed no negativity from my personal p.o.v. NO date(s) are ever going to give a perfect picture because of emotional and nervous strain at the time.

Tr. Moon is in the positive sign that deals with health. Although it squares the 8th house (surgery) natal planets, as well as tr. Mercury on 8th house cusp, this could be considered the natural state of worry and nerves that all will go well, that accompanies any major surgery. Mercury in Pisces could represent the loss of (mental)consciousness and comatise state through applied anaesthesia during surgery, also natural.

What I find encouraging is that transit Saturn (structured substance) makes no adverse aspects to the chart. Transit Uranus (vertebrae) has finally entered and settled in stable Taurus, which it no longer leaves through any retrograde motion. Tr. Uranus (change through re-formation) semi-squares natal Sun (spinal column) in Pisces in 8th, and positively aspects natal Saturn(physical structure, bones) in the 1st house, that is ruler of the 6th house chronic, long term issues). Both houses are concerned with the physical condition. Uranus could well 'break the mould' of fixity of so long. Perhaps the surgeon (Uranus rules 7th house) will introduce a new technique regarding your complaint?

Transit Neptune will conjoin natal Sun-Mars over a period of time, which will hopefully offer aid in reducing pain through one means or the other.

Transit Pluto shows no cooperation before retrograding. Yet its next aspect when going direct again and crossing 6th house cusp is the positive conjunction with natal Jupiter begin 2020. I would hope for you that this means a finalisation of what once was, and the transition and trans-formation of health issues creating a new way of life.

It must be said that so much depends upon your own mental and spirit of mind in the coming period. Keep the Faith and try to think positive.

Good luck to you.

Thank you so much for making me feel better about this surgery. When you mentioned transiting Pluto conjunct my Jupiter and that it would positive, makes me feel better. I was always concerned because my natal Pluto is in opposition to my Mercury so I thought it would be negative when Pluto was conjunct my Jupiter in the sixth.

I like the idea when Neptue is conjuncting my Sun and Mars, pain won’t be as bad. Wow, I would never have gotten the Uranus reformation of Sun spine. That sounds so positive.

San Francisco University hospital is doing a lot more to get the bones to fuse. Plus they are also fusing my SI joint which caused more pain then my back had. No one had even looked at it before and the UCSF doctor said it was severely degenerated. I have three doctors doing the surgeries, so I have great confidence in them.

Today was the day they were supposed to do my surgery, among about 8 other surgery dates. But the conference of doctors that met last week decided I needed to be on bone fusing medicine for at least six weeks before surgery. Also I did need it on two days, so I am back to March dates. Sometimes I think that Neptune conjunct my Sun and Mars made all the confusion about my surgery dates.

I know this is the best place for me and I have to do it. Because of that I have started meditation and have music that I love on my ipod to play when ever I feel shaky.

Your words have given me more confidence though and I appreciate it more than I can say.

Look up Dr. Joe Dispenza who may have some additional tips on Netflix' Heal Documentary. Healing using the mind is controversial but might be something to watch while you're waiting for your surgery.

Here are transits to your natal and secondary progressed charts for the year following the scheduled operation. I only used planets from Jupiter out to Pluto, that is why aspect listings do not begin on Mar 27. 2 sets - First sorted by date, second sorted by transiting planet.

The chart for the surgery looks quite good.

Best thoughts for success.
