I found this excerpt from Celeste Teal's book Eclipses fascinating..
"Ill offer the suggestion that the prenatal Lunar eclipse is the mechanism that seals off our prior memories. The Moon is considered to be the planet of accumulated lifetimes. This is a theory,yet if it is true,according to the principles of an eclipse it may take up to 4 years or even longer for all prior memories to be completely blanketed. This may be the reason that young children sometimes have a gift of unusual awareness that eventually fades."
