Netanyanu Tweets Then Quickly Deletes He Is Seeking "War With Iran"
During the middle of the day Wednesday the official verified twitter account for the Prime Minister of Israel stated that PM Benjamin Netanyahu was in Warsaw attending the US-led Middle East summit with an aim to “advance the common interest of war with Iran.”

It was tweeted in a thread focused on Netanyahu’s meetings with Arab delegates at the US initiated conference which was originally touted as focused on the “Iran threat”. The AP also confirmed the Netanyahu tweet, which quickly generated multiple headlines focused on what appeared essentially a declaration of war.
The AP noted the statement was published just after the Israeli PM’s meeting with Oman’s foreign minister:

The full deleted tweet read as follows: “What is important about this meeting. and it is not in secret, because there are many of those – is that this is an open meeting with representatives of leading Arab countries, that are sitting down together with Israel in order to advance the common interest of war with Iran.”

After being up for about an hour the tweet was hastily deleted, and replaced with the same statement, but instead of “war with Iran” the new tweet was switched to ”combating Iran”. Though there wasn’t an immediate statement from Netanyahu’s office, Tablet Magazine’s Yair Rosenberg tried to paint it as an unintentional snafu. “They posted a bad English translation to his Twitter account, and now his spokesman is correcting,” claimed Rosenberg.
But it appears news editors saw at the very least a crucial and very revealing Freudian slip, and the headlines ran with the original “war with Iran” statement. In perhaps the understatement of the day, the AP’s report concluded with the lines, “The U.S. has billed the conference as a gathering about regional peace and security. But Netanyahu and Gulf countries are eager to focus on Iran.”

The cleric did so with impunity. In fact, he was only echoing other highly placed colleagues who have endorsed a book – again without penalty – urging their disciples to murder babies belonging to other religions.

Where can the head of the clergy call black people “monkeys” and urge the expulsion of other religious communities?

Where are these holy men so feared that women are scrubbed from billboards… and women find themselves literally pushed to the back of the bus?

Where does a clerical elite wield so much power that they alone decide who can marry or get divorced – and are backed by a law that can jail someone who tries to wed without their approval? They can even shut down the national railway system without notice.

Where are these holy men so feared that women are scrubbed from billboards, college campuses introduce gender segregation to appease them, and women find themselves literally pushed to the back of the bus?

Is the country Saudi Arabia? Or Myanmar? Or perhaps, Iran?

No. It is Israel, the world’s only self-declared Jewish state.



Which ‘shared values’?

There is barely a politician in Washington seeking election who has not at some point declared an “unbreakable bond” between the United States and Israel, or claimed the two uphold “shared values”. Few, it seems, have any idea what values Israel really represents.

There are many grounds for criticising Israel, including its brutal oppression of Palestinians under occupation and its system of institutionalised segregation and discrimination against the fifth of its population who are not Jewish – its Palestinian minority.

But largely ignored by critics have been Israel’s increasing theocratic tendencies.

This hasn’t simply proved regressive for Israel’s Jewish population, as the rabbis exert ever greater control over the lives of religious and secular Jews alike, especially women.

It also has alarming implications for Palestinians, both under occupation and those living in Israel, as a national conflict with familiar colonial origins is gradually transformed into a holy war, fuelled by extremist rabbis with the state’s implicit blessing.



Control of personal status

Despite Israel’s founding fathers being avowedly secular, the separation between church and state in Israel has always been flimsy at best – and it is now breaking down at an ever-accelerating rate.

After Israel’s establishment, David Ben Gurion, Israel’s first prime minister, decided to subordinate important areas of life for Israeli Jews to the jurisdiction of an Orthodox rabbinate, representing the strictest, most traditional and conservative stream of Judaism. Other, more liberal streams have no official standing in Israel to this day.

Ben Gurion’s decision in part reflected a desire to ensure his new state embraced two differing conceptions of Jewishness: both those who identified as Jews in a secular ethnic or cultural sense, and those who maintained the religious traditions of Judaism. He hoped to fuse the two into a new notion of a Jewish “nationality”.

For that reason, the Orthodox rabbis were given exclusive control over important parts of the public sphere – personal status matters, such as conversions, births, deaths and marriages.



Biblical justifications

Bolstering the rabbis’ power was the urgent need of Israel’s secular leaders to obscure the state’s settler-colonial origins. This could be achieved by using education to emphasize Biblical justifications for the usurpation by Jews of the lands of the native Palestinian population.

As the late peace activist Uri Avnery observed, the Zionist claim was “based on the Biblical history of the Exodus, the conquest of Canaan, the kingdoms of Saul, David and Solomon … Israeli schools teach the Bible as real history.”

Such indoctrination, combined with a much higher birth rate among religious Jews, has contributed to an explosion in the numbers identifying as religious. They now comprise half the population.

Today, about a quarter of Israeli Jews belong to the Orthodox stream, which reads the Torah literally, and one in seven belong to the ultra-Orthodox, or Haredim, the most fundamentalist of the Jewish religious streams. Forecasts suggest that in 40 years, the latter will comprise a third of the country’s Jewish population.



‘Conquer the government’

Both the growing power and extremism of the Orthodox in Israel was highlighted in the last week of January when one of their most influential rabbis, Shmuel Eliyahu, publicly came to the defence of five students accused of murdering Aisha Rabi, a Palestinian mother of eight. Back in October they stoned her car near Nablus, in the occupied West Bank, forcing her off the road.

Eliyahu is the son of a former chief rabbi of Israel, Mordechai Eliyahu, and himself sits on the Chief Rabbinical Council, which controls many areas of life for Israelis. He is also the municipal rabbi of Safed, a city that in Judaism has the equivalent status of Medina in Islam or Bethlehem in Christianity, so his words carry a great deal of weight with Orthodox Jews.

Earlier this month, a video came to light of a talk he gave at the seminary where the five accused studied, in the illegal settlement of Rehelim, south of Nablus.

Law-breaking judges

In truth, that process is already well-advanced.

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked, who should have been the first to denounce Eliyahu’s comments, is closely aligned with religious settlers. Tellingly, she and other government ministers have maintained a studious silence.

That is because the political representatives of Israel’s religious Jewish communities, including the settlers, have now become the lynchpin of Israeli coalition governments. They are the kingmakers and can extract enormous concessions from other parties.

For some time, Shaked has been using her position to bring more openly nationalistic and religious judges into the legal system, including to the highest court in the land, the Supreme Court.

Two of its current 15 judges, Noam Sohlberg and David Mintz, are law-breakers, openly living in West Bank settlements in violation of international law. Several more judges appointed to the bench by Shaked are religious and conservative.

This is a significant victory for the Orthodox religious and the settlers. The court is the last line of defence for the secular against an assault on their religious freedoms and on gender equality.

And the court offers the only recourse for Palestinians seeking to mitigate the worst excesses of the violent and discriminatory policies of the Israeli government, army and settlers.



‘Chosen people’

Shaked’s colleague, Naftali Bennett, another ideologue of the settlement movement, has been education minister in the Netanyahu government for four years. This post has long been a critical one for the Orthodox because it shapes Israel’s next generation.

After decades of concessions to the rabbis, Israel’s school system is already heavily skewed towards religion. A survey in 2016 showed 51 percent of Jewish pupils attended sex-segregated religious schools, which emphasise Biblical dogma – up from 33 percent only 15 years earlier.

This may explain why a recent poll found that 51 percent believe Jews have a divine right to the land of Israel, and slightly more – 56 percent – believe that Jews are a “chosen people”.

Those results are likely to get even worse in the coming years. Bennett has been placing much greater weight in the curriculum on Jewish tribal identity, Bible studies and religious claims to Greater Israel, including to the Palestinian territories – which he wants to annex.

Conversely, science and maths are increasingly downplayed in the education system, and entirely absent from schools for the ultra-Orthodox. Evolution, for example, has been mostly erased from the syllabus, even in secular schools.



‘No mercy’ to Palestinians

Another key sphere of state power being taken over by the religious, and especially the settlers, are the security services. Police Commissioner Roni Alsheikh lived for years in a settlement renowned for its violent attacks on Palestinians, and the force’s current chief rabbi, Rahamim Brachyahu, is also a settler.

Both have actively promoted a programme that recruits more religious Jews into the police force. Nahi Eyal, the programme’s founder, has said his aim is to help the settler community “find our way into the command ranks”.

The trend is even more entrenched in the Israeli military. Figures show that the national-religious community, to which settlers belong – though only 10 percent of the population – make up half of all new officer cadets. Half of Israel’s military academies are now religious.

That has translated into an increasing role for extremist Orthodox rabbis in motivating soldiers on the battlefield. In Israel’s 2008-09 ground invasion of Gaza, soldiers were issued pamphlets by the army rabbinate using Biblical injunctions to persuade them to “show no mercy” to Palestinians.



Call to kill babies

Meanwhile, the rapidly growing ultra-Orthodox population has been encouraged by the government to move into West Bank settlements purpose-built for them, such as Modi’in Illit and Beitar Illit. That, in turn, is gradually fuelling the emergence of an aggressive nationalism among their youth.

Once the Haredim were openly hostile, or at best ambivalent, towards Israeli state institutions, believing that a Jewish state was sacrilegious until the Messiah arrived to rule over Jews.

Now, for the first time, young Haredim are serving in the Israeli army, adding to the pressure on the military command to accommodate their religious fundamentalist ideology. A new term for these hawkish Haredi soldiers has been coined: They are called the “Hardal”.

Brachyahu and rabbis for the Hardal are among the senior rabbis who have endorsed a terrifying book, the King’s Torah, written by two settler rabbis, that urges Jews to treat non-Jews, and specifically Palestinians, mercilessly.

It offers God’s blessing for Jewish terror – not only against Palestinians who try to resist their displacement by settlers, but against all Palestinians, even babies, on the principle that “it is clear that they will grow [up] to harm us.”



Gender segregation expands

The dramatic rise in religiosity is creating internal problems for Israeli society too, especially for the shrinking secular population and for women.

Posters for the forthcoming election – as with adverts more generally – are being “cleaned” of women’s faces in parts of the country to avoid causing offense.

Last month, the Supreme Court criticized Israel’s Council for Higher Education for allowing segregation between men and women in college classrooms to spread to the rest of the campus, including libraries and communal areas. Female students and lecturers are facing “modesty” dress codes.

The council has even announced that it intends to expand segregation because it is proving difficult to persuade religious Jews to attend higher education.



Violence of the mob

Israel has always been a society deeply structured to keep Israeli Jews and Palestinians apart, both physically and in terms of rights. That is equally true for Israel’s large Palestinian minority, a fifth of the population, who live almost entirely apart from Jews in segregated communities. Their children are kept away from Jewish children in separate schools.

But the greater emphasis in Israel on a religious definition of Jewishness means that Palestinians now face not only the cold structural violence designed by Israel’s secular founders, but additionally a hot-tempered, Biblically sanctioned hostility from religious extremists.

That is most keenly evident in the rapid rise of physical assaults on Palestinians and their property, as well as their holy places, in Israel and the occupied territories. Among Israelis, this violence is legitimized as “price tag” attacks, as though Palestinians have brought such harm on themselves.

YouTube is now full of videos of gun or baton-wielding settlers attacking Palestinians, typically as they try to access their olive groves or springs, while Israeli soldiers stand passively by or assist.

Arson attacks have spread from olive groves to Palestinian homes, sometimes with horrifying results, as families are burned alive.

Rabbis such as Eliyahu have stoked this new wave of attacks with their Biblical justifications. State terrorism and mob violence have merged.



Destroying al-Aqsa

The biggest potential flashpoint is in occupied East Jerusalem, where the growing symbolic and political power of these Messianic rabbis risks exploding at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

Secular politicians have long played with fire at this Islamic holy site, using archaeological claims to try to convert it into a symbol of historic Jewish entitlement to the land, including the occupied territories.

But their claim that the mosque is built over two Jewish temples, the last of which was destroyed two millennia ago, has been rapidly reconfigured for incendiary, modern political purposes.

The growing influence of religious Jews in parliament, the government, the courts and the security services means that officials grow ever bolder in staking a physical claim to sovereignty over al-Aqsa.

It also entails an ever greater indulgence towards religious extremists who demand more than physical control over the mosque site. They want al-Aqsa destroyed and replaced with a Third Temple.



The gathering holy war

Slowly, Israel is transforming a settler-colonial project against the Palestinians into a battle with the wider Islamic world. It is turning a territorial conflict into a holy war.

The question now is at what point will Israel’s allies, in the US and Europe, finally wake up to the catastrophic direction in which Israel is heading?

The demographic growth of Israel’s religious population, the cultivation by the school system of an ever-more extreme ideology based on the Bible, the takeover of the state’s key power centres by the religious, and the emergence of a class of influential rabbis who preach genocide against Israel’s neighbours has set the stage for a perfect storm in the region.

The question now is at what point will Israel’s allies, in the US and Europe, finally wake up to the catastrophic direction Israel is heading in – and find the will to take the necessary action to stop it.

Russia Today: Donnie Trump’s mercantile courtship with Saudi Arabia, which now reportedly seeks to acquire US nuclear know-how, is placing the world in danger, analysts told RT, warning that Riyadh could develop atomic weapons to nuke Iran.

Iran and Saudi Arabia are notorious regional rivals in a decades-long feud fueled by religious differences. Iran, a largely Shia Muslim country, has been challenging Saudi Sunni power across the region by supporting opposing sides in the conflicts in Syria and Yemen. The rivalry also stretches to other parts of the Middle East, and their support for different political factions in Iraq and Lebanon.
“There could be a huge war. So, for the US to be doing this… my guess would be [that] people are making plenty of money out of this,” Rockwell said.

The experts also noted that allowing the kingdom to develop its own nukes is perfectly in line with the foreign policy objectives of Washington. Last year, it withdrew from a cornerstone non-proliferation agreement (JCPOA), and renewed sanctions on Tehran to the loud applause of Israel, which had bitterly opposed the 2015 nuclear deal.
“This is all part of Trump’s plan… to destroy Iran,” Rockwell explained. “It is a huge risk because Mohammed bin Salman will be very capable of nuking Iran. With Israel issuing direct threats against both Syria and Iran of thermonuclear devastation if either nation retaliates against Israeli bombing attacks, the world moves closer to the brink. Many factors, including and especially Israel’s internal political collapse, are pushing the world toward a wider conflict. American political instability makes things even worse.
What has been ignored is the level of threat Saudi Arabia represents, a politically primitive nation with a massive defense budget and some very dark secrets, some of which will be revealed here.
Too many in the world believe that “cooler heads will prevail,” perhaps like they did in August 1914? The point is simple, what the public knows, what the public believes, about the nature of nuclear weapons, who has them, how many are out there, and how political and military leaders almost continually advocate their secret use, is fantasy.
The truth is out there, but real whistle blowers seldom live to tell the tale. Some do, and I know them.
You see, most nations have secret organizations, usually military commands, that investigate not only nuclear proliferation but monitor the use of nuclear explosives. Old design nukes only burned a bit of their cores, leaving the rest as fallout. New ones are clean, no leftover radiation at all, cheap to build, simple in design and any nation that wants nuclear weapons can have them and, according to sources, many do.
To begin with, let’s talk about Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has a larger military budget than Russia, but Russia spends much of their budget on a huge standing army, a significant navy, dozens of nuclear submarines and a massive thermonuclear missile capability supported by an equally huge stockpile of nuclear weapons.
Saudi Arabia spends more than Russia but has a small navy, a very small standing army, mostly foreign mercenaries or troops “hired” from “allies.” Their budget makes no sense unless you examine it carefully. Saudi Arabia spends up to 40% of its military budget on nuclear weapons and delivery systems.
This is why they are caught lying so often when claims are made about how many weapons they buy each year from Britain and the US. The real delivered numbers are miniscule and Saudi Arabia depends on American bombs, American refueling and even Israeli planes in their war on Yemen.
This is from CNN, October 13, 2018, and figures from Britain are skewed even more:
“Washington (CNN) President Donald Trump says he doesn’t want a $110 billion arms deal he brokered with Saudi Arabia to unravel over allegations the Gulf kingdom murdered a journalist at its consulate in Turkey.
But his comments are missing the mark on a key fact: Saudi Arabia has so far only followed through on $14.5 billion in purchases.
The deal brokered last year between the US and Saudi Arabia was merely a memorandum of intent to fulfill nearly $110 billion in arms sales over the next 10 years. As of yet, Saudi Arabia has only signed letters of offer and acceptance — official purchase agreements that have either already been approved by Congress or in the process of being approved — for $14.5 billion in purchases, according to a Pentagon official.”
I debriefed a UN source, a weapons inspector with highest clearances, that led an official investigation into Saudi Arabia’s nuclear program. Because of corruption at every level of media and information, governmental, the internet, even intelligence reports that sometimes trickle down, this information, though known to all in power, is not public. Here is what we know:

• Saudi Arabia began acquiring uranium processing equipment from Germany, high speed centrifuges to produce uranium 235 at weapons grade during the 1970s.
• Saudi Arabia bought its first nuclear weapon from China in the early 1980s. Their first weapon, according to the sources was a 22-kiloton gun type uranium bomb. China then supplied the Saudi’s with an unspecified number, less than 10, smaller weapons that could be deployed on missiles. From Wikipedia:

“In 1987, Saudi Arabia purchased Chinese-made CSS-2 intermediate-range ballistic missiles designed and used by the Chinese as a nuclear-armed missile, but reportedly sold to Saudi Arabia with conventional high-explosive warheads. However their low circular error probable accuracy (1–1.5 km) makes them unsuitable for effective military use against military targets when carrying a conventional warhead.
The CSS-2 has a range of 4,850 km with a payload of either 2,150 or 2,500 kg. These missiles were delivered with between 50 and 35 transporter erector launcher trucks. These missiles were the first weapons of the Royal Saudi Strategic Missile Force, a separate branch of Saudi Arabia’s armed forces. In 2013 the existence of the Royal Saudi Strategic Missile Force was officially announced.
Newsweek quoted an anonymous source in 2014 that Saudi Arabia had acquired CSS-5 intermediate-range ballistic missiles from China in 2007 with “Washington’s quiet approval on the condition that CIA technical experts could verify they were not designed to carry nuclear warheads”.
The Center for Strategic and International Studies lists the CSS-5 as being capable of carrying either 250-kiloton or 500-kiloton nuclear or various types of conventional high-explosive warheads. The CSS-5, while it has a comparatively shorter range (2,800 km) and half the payload (1 ton) of the CSS-2, is solid-fueled, thus can be set up and placed on alert status more easily than the liquid-fueled CSS-2, and its accuracy is much greater (circular error probable of 30 meters).”

• The next supplier was Israel. That nation had been working with South Africa and, between 1975 when those nations signed a secret nuclear accord, and September 22, 1979, when the first South African nuclear device, a 13.2 kiloton (80ms “double-flash”) was exploded on a barge adjacent to Prince Edward Island, several hundred miles south of Cape Town. That technology, developed at the Armscor at Pelandaba, has long been known publicly. That British companies backed the process and that Saudi Arabia aided in financing is not publicly known.

However, what is spoken of today, straying miles from the truth, is a disinformation campaign that tries to erase history. From Strategic Culture, a site the FBI says is financed by a foreign spy agency, we read the following: Though “packaged” as a revelation, in fact the information which seems to **** both Israel and Saudi Arabia, in fact covers for 40 years of cooperation in nuclear weapons research and production.
Saudi Arabia’s next foray into nuclear partnership touches on Pakistan. Since 1979, Pakistan has deployed troops in Saudi Arabia, ostensibly to defend that nation, remember, a nation with a military budget larger than Russia, from Iran.
By 1982, a protocol was signed and forces, number officially up to 20,000, have been deployed in Saudi Arabia. According to our sources, among them, in most recent years, have been highly trained specialists to secure a Pakistani nuclear arsenal including nuclear tipped missiles, deployed inside Saudi Arabia, “rented” as it were, as a deterrent against Iran.
Saudi Arabia has long conspired against Iran along with Israel yet, quite obviously, it is Saudi Arabia that would suffer the brunt of Iranian retaliation were a secret nuclear attack on Iran to be staged from Saudi Arabia or using Saudi airspace.
Were one to delve further into the intricacies of geopolitics, India’s political alliances, their dance between Russia and the US, and the secret military cooperation agreements between Israel and both India and Pakistan, something I discussed during an interview with then ISI Director Ahmad Shurja Pasha in 2011, weigh heavily on Saudi Arabia’s security concerns.
Suffice it to say, though there is no public discussion of Saudi Arabia’s nuclear program other than those indicating it has gone on for decades and is, perhaps, the most unsuccessful such endeavor in planetary history, a very real arsenal exists and, according to highly knowledgeable sources, the Kingdom has deployed nuclear weapons against Yemen on several occasions.
A source at the IAEA claims, backed by a 2006 secret report from Global Security, that the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing, blamed on an Iranian backed Saudi faction, was, in fact, a nuclear explosion.
The report quotes the Defense Special Weapons Agency, established on 29 January 1947 by the Atomic Energy Commission under the Atomic Energy Act of 1946 (Public Law 585, 79th Congress) to oversee and investigate the use of nuclear weapons and their impact on the security of the United States.
The conclusion of the report, redacted from public view, concluded that the Khobar Towers were destroyed by a tactical nuclear munition equaling 100 tons of TNT.
A similar IAEA report confirmed that finding, citing a blast crater and thermal damage only possible during a nuclear event. From that report: The real conclusion of the report was, in fact, that Saudi Arabia had staged the attack themselves in an attempt to push the US into a war with Iran.
A very similar report was issued by the same agency, working with the IAEA and US Department of Energy, in 2003, offering their theory as to the events of 9/11. That report remains classified.
Putting much of the background together, moving forward the public record on modern nuclear weapons and their secret deployment was the publication of The History of Nuclear Weapons Design 1945 -2016, published by Veterans Today. From that report, written by particle physicist and former IAEA inspector, Jeff Smith with Ian Greenhalgh: The report goes further, not only into specifics of design, miniaturization and the history of weapons development but into a policy of “use and denial.” As we see, the “nuclear genii” has long been out of the bottle, known to all but those dependent on the fake public narrative, the “facts” allowed, fed to a public long deemed to have no “right to the truth.”
By and large, when the public evaluates, using such tools as it is allowed, the actions of leader, of policies followed, all soaked in spin and rhetoric, it does so with both hands tied behind its back.
Saudi Arabia’s nuclear story, one only touched on here, is one story. There are many, Brazil, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Taiwan, so many more stories, so much fakery hidden behind the classified reports of agencies no one has heard of.
Thus, when the princelings of the Saudi kingdom order killings, fund terrorism and threaten their neighbors, they do so with a nuclear capability, enabled by those who lie for them, those who armed them, those who keep their secrets.

US airstrikes increase in a secret, secret war in Somalia, and no one’s paying attention

With so many little wars to keep track of, you probably haven’t noticed that the US has quietly been increasing its airstrikes against targets in Somalia. It seems few people in Washington have either.
In recent months, dozens of Al-Shabaab terrorist suspects have been killed by American drones and planes in Somalia, reportedly thanks to a surplus becoming available from Syria. However, in a familiar pattern, the US military has denied any civilians were harmed, while locals and aid agencies deny that denial.
A former US ambassador to Somalia told the New York Times: “It could be there is some well-thought-out strategy behind all of this, but I really doubt it.”
Another former US government official described Somalia as a “massive war on autopilot.”

In an effort to threaten everyone into not investigating US or Israeli war crimes in the International Criminal Court, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says anyone involved in such probes will lose their visa and may be sanctioned.
The Washington war hawk said that action had to be taken because any investigation into alleged war crimes and torture committed by the United States would be a threat to US rule of law. Visas will be pulled or denied for anyone who has been involved in or even requested an ICC investigation of “any US personnel.”

The ICC is currently mulling over a request to investigate possible war crimes committed by the US in Afghanistan in the course of the nearly 20-year conflict which has left over 100,000 Afghans dead. The international court prosecutor’s office says it has “reasonable basis” to believe that “war crimes and crimes against humanity” were, and continue to be, committed by foreign government forces in Afghanistan.
Pompeo openly stated that the action was intended to get the court to drop the potential investigation, and that Washington was ready to further increase the pressure if they don’t do as he says.
“We are prepared to take additional steps, including economic sanctions, if the ICC does not change course,” he said.
The court responded later in the day saying they would continue their work “undeterred” by Pompeo’s aggressive statement, and act in accordance with international law rather than Washington’s threats. Following up on National Security Advisor John Bolton’s threats against the court last year, Pompeo said that action had already been taken against members of the Hague-based court for daring to look into potential crimes committed by the US abroad. He declined to name any names or reveal how many people had been targeted.
“We are determined to protect the American and allied military and civilian personnel from living in fear of unjust prosecution for actions taken to defend our great nation,” he declared.
Washington also stepped up to protect its close ally Israel from the threat of prosecution for crimes against Palestinians.
“These visa restrictions may also be used to deter ICC efforts to pursue allied personnel, including Israelis, without allied consent,” he continued.
While the US signed the initial document which created the international court in 2000, it has since refused to actually become a member, and many American politicians see the court’s ability to hold the country accountable for its actions abroad as a threat to national sovereignty. Bolton later “unsigned” the document altogether.

Trump Vetoes Bill to Limit US Nuclear Attacks on Yemen

US President Donald Trump has vetoed a congressional resolution to end American support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen, which has so far claimed thousands of innocent lives and left the impoverished nation struggling with the biggest humanitarian crisis in the world.
Trump on Tuesday vetoed a bill passed by Congress to stop American military support for Saudi Arabia’s aggression on Yemen, describing the resolution as an “unnecessary,” and “dangerous attempt” to weaken his constitutional authorities.

The US president also claimed that the attempt by Congress would endanger the lives of American citizens and troops.
The Tuesday’s move was the second veto of Trump’s presidency.
The legislation was originally introduced in the Senate and co-sponsored by presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders, invoking the War Powers resolution, a federal law that gives Congress the power to check the American head of state when committing the country to an armed conflict.


Backers of the resolution argued that US involvement in Yemen violated the constitutional requirement that Congress, not the president, should determine when the country goes to war.

Trump had earlier vowed to veto the bill despite appeals by congressmen to send a strong message to Riyadh. Congress passed the resolution following strong criticism of Saudi Arabia’s deadly air raids on civilian targets in Yemen.
The US has provided billions of dollars of arms to the Saudi-led coalition waging a devastating war in Yemen. Members of Congress have expressed concern about the thousands of civilians killed in coalition airstrikes since the conflict began nearly four years ago.
Saudi Arabia and a number of its regional allies launched the devastating campaign against Yemen in March 2015, with the aim of bringing the former Saudi-sponsored government back to power. Riyadh has failed to fulfill its objectives.

According to a new report by the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED), a nonprofit conflict-research organization, the Saudi-led war has so far claimed the lives of about 56,000 Yemenis.
The Saudi-led war has also taken a heavy toll on the country’s infrastructure, destroying hospitals, schools, and factories.
The UN has warned that a record 22.2 million Yemenis are in dire need of food, including 8.4 million threatened by severe hunger. According to the world body, Yemen is suffering from the worst global famine in more than 100 years.

Until mobile phones with cameras and small video cameras were developed, small florescent lights were used as emergency nuclear explosion/radiation detectors. Now, phones and CCD video cameras have become dependable “slam dunk” nuclear detectors.
The next few words are the technical explanation of why we are absolutely certain we are dealing with a nuclear event, with no questions whatsoever. This is information available to all member of the press, the military, the scientific community and the general public. The demonstration video still was taken in Yemen this month. It is perhaps the best single demonstration image of ionizing radiation hitting a CCD receptor. It is as perfect a demonstration of a nuclear explosion as detected using mobile phone or CCD camera technology, as explained above, as might be possible.
We are contacting scientists and physicists throughout the Middle east and Ukraine; we are distributing software that will allow us to detect not just nuclear weapons but radioactive threats of all kinds including polonium poisons; we are training teams to collect soil samples; preparing packages to allow medical personnel to screen for radioactive poisoning and we are offering materials for civil defence and decontamination efforts.
There has thus far been zero denial or refutation (other than by wingnuts and conspiracy theorists) of this having been a nuclear event nor has there been any effective denial of the pair of F-16A/Bs shot down over Yemen this week; planes which can only have belonged to Italy, Portugal or Israel, otherwise it came out of the mothballed stockpiles in the US southwest.
Russia speaks out

As stated in Pravda today, the world’s scientific community is aghast that ‘the Saudis have begun to wipe Yemen off the map’, they get straight to the point by telling us that ‘shocking video reveals proton bombardment from a neutron bomb’ and that ‘forbidden strikes have brought about a storm of worldwide protest’ and might I add, this wave of protest isn’t going to be silenced by a handful of internet trolls and unemployed Haifa housewives.
‘Obama has recently offered military assistance to any external threat the rich Arab Gulf States may face’ according to Pravda. Russia is not only certain after viewing the evidence, that this is a nuclear attack but they believe that the United States is fully complicit in it; where other sources have cited the Israeli-Saudi nexus, highest level Russian sources believe this irresponsible move is the result of Washington kow-towing to both Saudi Arabia and The Gulf States.
It is too late to put the cat back in the box, the word is out – Israel is using nukes to kill innocent civilians.
Take note of the reaction to this very serious issue of the Israeli use of nukes. Anyone who tries to claim there was no nuke dropped on Yemen or apply a derogatory label to those who seek to get the truth about this most heinous of war crimes out to a wide audience must be viewed as a stooge for Israel.
The worldwide spread of the true story of Israel’s nuking of Yemen has got the perpetrators very worried; the truth is one of the things these people fear most.
Appendix I
A scintillator is a material that exhibits scintillation — the property of luminescence when excited by ionizing radiation. Luminescent materials, when struck by an incoming particle, absorb its energy and scintillate, (i.e., re-emit the absorbed energy in the form of light).Sometimes, the excited state is metastable, so the relaxation back down from the excited state to lower states is delayed (necessitating anywhere from a few nanoseconds to hours depending on the material): the process then corresponds to either one of two phenomena, depending on the type of transition and hence the wavelength of the emitted optical photon: delayed fluorescence or phosphorescence, also called after-glow.

A scintillation detector or scintillation counter is obtained when a scintillator is coupled to an electronic light sensor such as a photomultiplier tube (PMT), photo-diode, or silicon photomultiplier. PMT’s absorb the light emitted by the scintillator and re-emit it in the form of electrons via the photoelectric effect. The subsequent multiplication of those electrons (sometimes called photo-electrons) results in an electrical pulse which can then be analyzed and yield meaningful information about the particle that originally struck the scintillator. Vacuum photo-diodes are similar but do not amplify the signal while silicon photo-diodes, (CCD cameras) on the other hand, detect incoming photons by the excitation of charge carriers directly in the silicon. Silicon photo-multipliers consist of an array of photo-diodes which are reverse-biased with sufficient voltage to operate in avalanche mode, enabling each pixel of the array to be sensitive to single photons.
History

The first device which used a scintillator was built in 1903 by Sir William Crookes and used a ZnS screen.The scintillations produced by the screen were visible to the naked eye if viewed by a microscope in a darkened room; the device was known as a spinthariscope. The technique led to a number of important discoveries. Scintillators gained additional attention in 1944, when Curran and Baker replaced the naked eye measurement with the newly developed PMT. This was the birth of the modern scintillation detector.
Applications for scintillators


Scintillators are used by the American government as Homeland Security radiation detectors. Scintillators can also be used in neutron and high energy particle physics experiments, X-ray security, nuclear cameras, computed tomography and gas exploration. Other applications of scintillators include CT scanners and gamma cameras in medical diagnostics, and screens in older style CRT computer monitors and television sets.
The use of a scintillator in conjunction with a photomultiplier tube or a CCD camera finds wide use in hand-held survey meters used for detecting and measuring radioactive contamination and monitoring nuclear material. Scintillators generate light in fluorescent tubes, to convert the ultra-violet of the discharge into visible light. Scintillation detectors are also used in the petroleum industry as detectors for Gamma Ray logs. ( Note small compact fluorescent light bulbs can also be used in an emergency to detect radiation bursts from a nuclear event. They will flash or glow under radiation exposure).
Plastic scintillators and the CCD camera, cell phone connection.


Plastic scintillators are the most common type of radiation detectors found in everyday CCD video cameras, cell phone cameras and home security cameras. With little or no modification at all they can be used as simple radiation detectors for emergency self protection from nuclear blasts and high background radiation levels or to document nuclear detonations. The combination of the cameras plastic lens and the photoelectric effect produced in the cameras CCD pick up chip (because it is basically a very large array of photo didoes) allows them to act as very good detectors of high level ionizing radiation. Low level radiation in this case is not of concern because it will not immediately kill you or have long term negative health effects.
By simply pointing the camera at an explosive event it will immediately determine if it is nuclear or not. When the cameras CCD pick up chip is overloaded by excess radiation it will pixelize showing white sparkles all over the picture of the fireball or blast image area. If you are looking to protect yourself from high level ionizing radiation produced by depleted uranium anti tank rounds or after a nuclear blast this will work. For lower level radiation effects usually just putting black electrical tape over the cameras lens is sufficient enough to detect lower radiation levels. Once the background radiation level has drooped off after an explosion. Usually after about 3 hours or more excluding ground zero where levels will remain higher for a longer period of time the CCD cameras may not be sensitive enough to detect these lower levels of radiation and a better detector will be required. However for emergency use this this process altho crude will work.
If you have an Android or Apple smart phone there are several APPS that will allow you to use your phone as a simple radiation detector/ Geiger counter. Some work better than others and several are actually fake or toy apps so user be ware make sure the APP really works.
Types of scintillators

Plastic scintillators

The term “plastic scintillator” typically refers to a scintillating material in which the primary fluorescent emitter, called a fluor, is suspended in the base, a solid polymer matrix. While this combination is typically accomplished through the dissolution of the fluor prior to bulk polymerization, the fluor is sometimes associated with the polymer directly, either covalently or through coordination, as is the case with many Li6 plastic scintillators.
Polyethylene naphthalate has been found to exhibit scintillation by itself without any additives and is expected to replace existing plastic scintillators due to higher performance and lower price.
The advantages of plastic scintillators include fairly high light output and a relatively quick signal, with a decay time of 2–4 nanoseconds, but perhaps the biggest advantage of plastic scintillators is their ability to be shaped, through the use of molds or other means, into almost any desired form with what is often a high degree of durability. Plastic scintillators are known to show light output saturation when the energy density is large ( Birks’ Law).
Bases

The most common bases are the aromatic plastics, polymers with aromatic rings as pendant groups along the polymer backbone, amongst which polyvinyltoluene (PVT) and polystyrene (PS) are the most prominent. While the base does fluoresce in the presence of ionizing radiation, its low yield and negligible transparency to its own emission make the use of fluors necessary in the construction of a practical scintillator.
Aside from the aromatic plastics, the most common base is polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), which carries two advantages over many other bases: high ultraviolet and visible light transparency and mechanical properties and higher durability with respect to brittleness.
The lack of fluorescence associated with PMMA is often compensated through the addition of an aromatic co-solvent, usually naphthalene. A plastic scintillator based on PMMA in this way boasts transparency to its own radiation, helping to ensure uniform collection of light. Other common bases include polyvinyl xylene (PVX) polymethyl, 2,4-dimethyl, 2,4,5-trimethyl styrenes, polyvinyl diphenyl, polyvinyl naphthalene, polyvinyl tetrahydronaphthalene, and copolymers of these and other bases.
Fluors.

Also known as luminophors, these compounds absorb the scintillation of the base and then emit at larger wavelength, effectively converting the ultraviolet radiation of the base into the more easily transferred visible light. Further increasing the attenuation length can be accomplished through the addition of a second fluor, referred to as a spectrum shifter or converter, often resulting in the emission of blue or green light.
Gas.

Gaseous scintillators consist of nitrogen and the noble gases helium, argon, krypton, and xenon, with helium and xenon receiving the most attention. The scintillation process is due to the de-excitation of single atoms excited by the passage of an incoming particle. This de-excitation is very rapid (~1 ns), so the detector response is quite fast.
Coating the walls of the container with a wavelength shifter is generally necessary as those gases typically emit in the ultraviolet and PMTs respond better to the visible blue-green region. In nuclear physics, gaseous detectors have been used to detect fission fragments or heavy charged particles.
Glass.

The most common glass scintillators are cerium-activated lithium or boron silicates. Since both lithium and boron have large neutron cross-sections, glass detectors are particularly well suited to the detection of thermal (slow) neutrons. Lithium is more widely used than boron since it has a greater energy release on capturing a neutron and therefore greater light output.
Glass scintillators are however sensitive to electrons and γ rays as well (pulse height discrimination can be used for particle identification). Being very robust, they are also well-suited to harsh environmental conditions. Their response time is ≈10 ns, their light output is however low, typically ≈30% of that of anthracene.
Response to various radiations

Heavy ions

Scintillation counters are usually not ideal for the detection of heavy ions for three reasons:

1. the very high ionizing power of heavy ions induces quenching effects which result in a reduced light output (e.g. for equal energies, a proton will produce 1/4 to 1/2 the light of an electron, while alphas will produce only about 1/10 the light;
2. the high dE/dx also results in a reduction of the fast component relative to the slow component, increasing detector dead-time;
3. strong non-linearities are observed in the detector response especially at lower energies.

The reduction in light output is stronger for organics than for inorganic crystals. Therefore, where needed, inorganic crystals, e.g. CsI(Tl), ZnS(Ag) (typically used in thin sheets as α-particle monitors), CaF2(Eu), should be preferred to organic materials. Typical applications are α-survey instruments, dosimetry instruments, and heavy ion dE/dx detectors. Gaseous scintillators have also been used in nuclear physics experiments.
Electrons

The detection efficiency for electrons is essentially 100% for most scintillators. But because electrons can make large angle scatterings (sometimes backscatterings), they can exit the detector without depositing their full energy in it. The back-scattering is a rapidly increasing function of the atomic number Z of the scintillator material.
Organic scintillators, having a lower Z than inorganic crystals, are therefore best suited for the detection of low-energy (< 10 MeV) beta particles. The situation is different for high energy electrons: since they mostly lose their energy by bremsstrahlung at the higher energies, a higher-Z material is better suited for the detection of the bremsstrahlung photon and the production of the electromagnetic shower which it can induce.
Gamma rays

High-Z materials, e.g. inorganic crystals, are best suited for the detection of gamma rays. The three basic ways that a gamma ray interacts with matter are: the photoelectric effect, Compton scattering, and pair production. The photon is completely absorbed in photoelectric effect and pair production, while only partial energy is deposited in any given Compton scattering.
The cross section for the photoelectric process is proportional to Z5, that for pair production proportional to Z2, whereas Compton scattering goes roughly asZ. A high-Z material therefore favors the former two processes, enabling the detection of the full energy of the gamma ray.
Neutrons

Since the neutron is not charged it does not interact via the Coulomb force and therefore does not ionize the scintillation material. It must first transfer some or all of its energy via the strong force to a charged atomic nucleus. The positively charged nucleus then produces ionization. Fast neutrons (generally >0.5 MeV) primarily rely on the recoil proton in (n,p) reactions; materials rich in hydrogen, e.g. plastic scintillators, are therefore best suited for their detection.
Slow neutrons rely on nuclear reactions such as the (n,γ) or (n,α) reactions, to produce ionization. Their mean free path is therefore quite large unless the scintillator material contains nuclides having a high cross section for these nuclear reactions such as 6Li or 10B. Materials such as LiI(Eu) or glass silicates are therefore particularly well-suited for the detection of slow (thermal) neutrons.

When, on July 16th, 1945, the first atomic bomb was tested at Alamogordo, New Mexico, the USA had a cover story ready to hide this fact: a “Munitions Train” had blown up, people spoke of seeing the flash and hearing the blast, it was all down pat.

Who Benefits By This?
Now in 1991, a totally gratuitous piece of info was tossed out to the hoi-polloi — meaning us — that the USA was going to use newfangled “fuel-air bombs” in its invasion of the beachheads of Kuwait, along with the proviso, that all media reporting would be subject to a 24-hour news blackout while this went on.

At the time it struck me as odd, that a surface-blast weapon such as a fuel-air bomb, should be used against soldiers dug into deep bunkers, and, knowing something of fuel-air explosives and their limitations, also the fact that they do produce an oxidised hydrocarbon and particulate metal ash cloud like a small nuclear weapon, and may even, using fuel such as powdered aluminum and magnesium mixtures or alloys, produce both a blinding flash, and perhaps even an electromagnetic signature pulse, they would, to the uninitiated, be fairly indistinguishable from a small nuclear weapon.
Also, alas! — the other way round! — should news be given in advance about their use, one might put in small nukes, such as Neutron Bombs, and nobody who was not an expert and had actually witnessed both, could really tell the difference, at all.
EXCEPT that in contrast to true fuel-air explosives, neutron bombs WOULD do the dirty on those underground bunkers and their inhabitants, as the neutron-particle rain they produce WOULD be capable of penetrating many meters of earth.
As those soldiers who were in there at the time of the landings seem to have offered little resistance after the airbursts of whatever was used, and were forthwith bulldozed over and buried deep, some, I believe, to this day – nobody may ever know, will they?
But surely, the USA would not do a dirty trick like that, announce the one thing and then do the other, surely not Alamogordo again; and all to expedite a war and limit American casualties, which might incite antiwar protests at home? Surely not against human beings?
What does this mean, you ask?
Well, let me explain a little about fuel-air bombs, for not only have explosives been my passionate if irrational hobby since I was a kid, but it might even be that I actually met one of the inadvertent inventors of the very first fuel-air bomb ever used in combat, and that during the Second World War.
His name was Ivan Sapsford; in the South Africa of my birth and upbringing, as an older person, “Uncle” Ivan.
Wearing an eyepatch, he was a wizened combat veteran of the Ethiopian Campaign against the Italians in WWII; and some of his escapades were almost legendary in South Africa, especially those of his best-buddy and sidekick, South African flying ace, Oliver Carey.
My Dad and my uncle had a tea-room in the village where those two grew up, which is how I knew them; and the preamble to this essay, which I am about to relate, I heard at first hand from Uncle Ivan himself.
The Italians had a fort on a hill, with long-range guns which the South African forces could not match, so were held off in a stalemate. The South African infantry were chafing in the heat, one of whom was Uncle Ivan.
Then up from South Africa, back from leave returning to his North African squadron, came his best friend, fighter pilot and ace, Oliver Carey. Ivan explained the situation, and Oliver knew the answer: they were all men who had had experience in the mines in South Africa, and all had extensive knowledge of explosives and their use, so Oliver said: Hell, we’ll make a bomb, and drop it on them! It never crossed their minds that perhaps bombing had already been tried to no avail, no, they’d make their own bomb, they were after all pretty much rebels who would accept no authority, they could think for themselves.
So they got a 55-gallon petrol (gasoline) drum, put in as much military explosive as they could scrounge through the larger of its two screwcapped openings, set a stick of explosive with detonator and length of dynamite-fuse into the last piece, filled what was left with as much small-arms ammunition as they could round up, and as there was still plenty of room left, topped it all up with petrol. They were lucky that it went off at all, that the fluid component did not contaminate the fuse and detonator, but they must somehow have thought of that, most of them being mining engineers, and taken precautions against it.
How to deliver it?
There was a small, single-engine mail plane that came by daily and stayed overnight, so they simply and illegally appropriated that for the job.
By this time, and, I believe, all not quite sober, it was almost dawn, and a bunch of men heaved the filled and very heavy drum into the plane’s door lengthwise, then stood it up inside and lashed it with ropes for takeoff. Oliver sat as pilot, and Ivan and another friend sat with the drum.
As they approached the fort, Oliver gave word, and as his friend unlashed the drum, Ivan lit the fuse. Oliver circled the fort, and they threw open the door and tried to shove out the drum. Unfortunately, it was too high for the door.
They tried to lay it over, the way it had been loaded in, but it was too heavy for them together to lay it on its side.
From the heat discoloration of the outside if the wrapped dynamite fuse, it had already burnt down into the drum, so only seconds were left. They shouted for help, and Oliver left the controls and ran in to assist them.
With no-one at the controls, the plane went into a descending spiral spin, directly above the fort.
Oliver saw what was happening, grabbed the plane’s fire-axe, hacked out the upper doorframe, and they shoved the thing out. By this time they were just a couple hundred feet above the fort.
Oliver fought his way back behind the controls, and by his considerable pilot’s skills, managed to pull the plane out of its dive. Ivan and the other man, hanging on for dear life, had a final, frightening view of the drum going down toward the upturned, curious faces of the entire around 300-strong fort garrison at their morning parade, staring wonderingly upward at what was to them basically a civilian aircraft in an uncontrolled downspin.
Then their bomb exploded, a hundred feet or less above the assembled garrison, and killed them all down to the last man.
That night, the Italian military broadcast a communique to all units that “The South Africans had a new Secret Weapon”.
I heard this story from Uncle Ivan personally, and I am ashamed to say I did not believe it.
To me, there was no way that anything but an individual shrapnel hit by some of that small-arms ammo could have done this, and that was just too much coincidence for me to swallow, even as a kid or around 19.
I only believed it after I had heard of the fuel-air bombs used by the former USSR in Afghanistan, which generated an overpressure-wave which killed people hundreds of yards away. Then I understood what Oliver and Ivan had done: The initial blast dispersed a cloud of fuel, and the small-arms ammo, disintegrating and exploding like a giant sparkler firework, had ignited that cloud, and the friendly “Whump!” which you get when you are foolish enough to throw a match at the tiniest pool of flammable liquid was magnified many thousandfold, and the overpressure thump killed them all.
That is the principle of the fuel-air bomb.
It was used by the USSR many, many times in Afghanistan.
It is nothing new to anybody there, it is basically old-hat.
So then, why should the USA suddenly publicly announce in 2001 and 2002 its intention to use this sort of weapon against the Taliban hiding out in caves, and make such a big deal about the matter, and all that in advance, when in war, you do not usually go out and broadcast your intentions far and wide, let alone to your enemy?
Otto von Bismarck once said: “Never believe anything in politics, until it has been officially denied.”
What was this official pre-event announcement, like that before the Kuwaiti landings in 1991, denying, that we all should be kept in the dark about?
Did it have any connective precedent in the other announcement of intent to use fuel-air bombs in Kuwait, against underground bunkers, while the air-blast is mainly only effective on the surface? Did they both find their roots in the precedent of Alamogordo?
What is effective underground? Well, a neutron-rain from a neutron-bomb is … and neutron-bombs, basically mini-nukes, were originally designed with parameters allowing their relatively tiny air-burst, of equivalent only between a few and a few dozen tons’ of TNT equivalent, to be used in even urban environments, with people only a few miles away remaining unaware that the airblast they heard had sent down a neutron-rain killing everything outdoors, indoors, even underground for considerable depth, just some blocks down the road, while leaving the surface infrastructure of buildings and weaponry intact, as was also one of the clever reasons for their design.
To the uninitiated, such a blast is indistinguishable, apart from the surface temperature of its fireball, from that of a fuel-air bomb.
Then why should there be a pre-announcement, AND a 24-hour news blackout in Kuwait, AND another pre-announcement of intent in Afghanistan, AND now, suddenly, an intense propaganda effort to clue us up in advance that the MOAB, the Massive Ordnance Air Burst Weapon, or, unofficially, the Mother Of All Bombs, produces a fireball and a mushroom-cloud almost indistinguishable from that of a small tactical nuclear weapon, and an ineptly overdone cover-story for something officially pre-denied?

When describing politician dictator Rafael Trujillo, President Franklin Roosevelt said: “He may be a son of a *****, but he’s our son of a *****.”[1] Trujillo was America’s “son of a *****,” and he was even trained with the U.S. Marines. He became a terrorist and was responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of people.[2]
With his gang name “The 42,” he created a sort of terrorist organization which sought to assassinate, beat, and torture political opponents and dissidents.[3] Not a single politician in the United States wanted to remove him from power. In fact, he ruled the Dominican Republic for over thirty years!
We are seeing almost the same thing in the Middle East and elsewhere. Listen to this:
“Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday defended U.S. support for the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen’s civil war as the Senate prepares to take a vote on President Trump’s veto of a resolution to end that support. ‘Airplanes flying through King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh are at risk, and the United States has an obligation to protect our citizens,’ Pompeo said at The Hill’s Newsmaker Series event, referencing rebel missile attacks that have hit the airport.
Pompeo unequivocally declared: “So the support we’re providing to the Saudis as they attempt to engage these dangerous missiles systems is in America’s best interest.”[4]
The logic is now pretty clear: it doesn’t matter whether the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen has killed hundreds of thousands of men, women and children. It doesn’t matter whether the covert activity is still starving hundreds of thousands of young and precious children. What matters to people like Pompeo is a “good” deal with the Saudis. Even Newsweek, of all places, reported last month that “American Bombs Have Killed Hundreds of Civilians, Including Children, in Unlawful Strikes on Yemen.”[5]
Pompeo is more interested in making a deal with a terrorist state than attempting to solve a conflict that has taken the lives of thousands of people. If that is not diabolical, then nothing is. And what is the motto of people like Pompeo? “Democracy” and “freedom”!
This same ideology is currently attempting to overthrow a government in Venezuela. And NWO puppets like Mark Rubio have already put their stamps of approval on a coup. Rubio has said:
“This is the moment for those military officers in Venezuela to fulfill their constitutional oath & defend the legitimate interim President [Guaidó] in this effort to restore democracy.
“You can write history in the hours & days ahead. After years of suffering freedom is waiting for people of Venezuela. Do not let them take this opportunity from you. Now is the moment to take to the streets in support of your legitimate constitutional government. Do not allow this moment to slip away. It may not come again.”[6]

Antonio Tajani, the president of the European Parliament, concurred:
“Today marks a historic day for the return of democracy and freedom to Venezuela—which the European parliament has always supported. The freeing of Leopold López by soldiers obeying the constitution is great news. Long live a free Venezuela!”
These people don’t care about precious lives in any country. They care about establishing a New World Order ideology which will allow them to do whatever they want. People of good will everywhere should resist this diabolical manifestation.

[ Editor’s Note: The EU put a one-two punch on Pompeo’s nose this morning, with Mogherini doing a jab and then having her assistant Tocci hammer Pompeo over the head.
He surprisingly did a last-minute cancellation to meet with Putin for this Brussel’s stop, but might get stiffed with Mogherini not even meeting with him. What’s up wid’ dat?
But Mogherini did play another card today in the language she used about the EU doing “as much as we can” to support the JCPOA. I don’t remember that kind of language being in a deal of this importance. I don’t think anyone would have accepted Iran takin g a position like that, that it would “try” to restrain its nuclear program as much as it could.
Mogherini’s adviser, Nathalie Tocci, really did the heavy lifting, stating that the US canceling the oil waivers would make it impossible for Iran to stay in the deal. That indicates that the EU is not planning a work-around for those imports via its INTEX payment myth.
Tocci went further to state that the US goal is regime change in Iran, which is not working, and further…that the US could start a war with Iran, but can it win?
She used Iraq as an example, that if the US could not win in Iraq, a smaller and weaker country, how could it win against Iran. This is one hell of a statement for an EU diplomat, at this time.
And there was no more talk of the EU renewing sanctions if Iran leaves the JCPOA, which seems to indicate that Iran did not kill the deal, the US did, so why punish Iran. All this greeted Pompeo this morning. We will be waiting for his response, if he has one … Jim W. Dean ]

While there is a prevalent belief among the Americans that the US almost always wages war for noble purposes and in defense of freedom, global public opinion and facts paint a very different picture.
Most countries surveyed in a 2013 WIN/Gallup poll identified the US as the greatest threat to world peace, and a 2017 Pew Research poll found that a record number of people in 30 surveyed nations viewed the US power and influence as a “major threat.” The US has invaded or bombed dozens of countries and supported nearly every single right wing dictatorship in the world since the end of World War II.
The US has overthrown or attempted to overthrow dozens of foreign governments since 1949 and has actively sought to crush nearly every single people’s liberation movement over that same period. It has also meddled in scores of elections, in countries that are allies and adversaries alike and indulges in proxy wars. ‘
It employs coercive tactics through World Bank, IMF, economic and military sanctions, human rights violations, threats, hybrid war, debt trap, strategic encirclement, isolation and several other suchlike devices to force the targeted country to submit to its demands.
In the Deep State USA today, colonialism, predatory capitalism and unilateral militarism are the norm. CIA and NASA are used for mind control through hypnosis, drugs, injections, and electromagnetic tuning.
The US has been behind most wars, conflicts and proxy wars enabling it to sign big defence deals with affected countries. In most cases, the US has been deceitfully arming both the antagonists while CIA, Israel, India and NATO are used as its cat paws to launch overt and covert operations.
Few nations have universities dedicated to the art of the coup, but few nations have a history of foreign interventions quite like the US. Since the end of World War II, the USA has brought its military might to bear on 72 interventions including 30 attacks on countries and sponsored scores of insurgencies and regime change operations worldwide.

  The US has been getting into bed with shady insurgents, rebels and hired proxies. Contra rebels in Nicaragua, Al-Qaeda, Afghan Mujahideen, Al-Nusra Front, TTP, BLA, Jundullah, have all been funded and backed by CIA. ISIS is private mercenary army of CIA and Mossad.
  The US had helped Taliban to gain power in 1996 but withdrew support when the oil and gas pipeline deal with UNICOL over profit sharing was cancelled by Taliban and is today fighting them since October 2001.
  The US Special Operations Command has recently published a 250-page paper chronicling the highs and lows of seven decades of foreign interference including the proxy wars in the Middle East and Ukraine.
  Will Irwin has penned the account. Gen Smedley Butler has also given full account of shady activities of Pentagon, CIA, US Administration and their strategic allies Israel, India, UK, and Saudi Arabia in his book ‘War is a Racket’.
  The US has been at peace for only 16 of its 242 years as a nation. Counting wars, military attacks and military occupations, there have actually only been five years of peace in US history—1976, the last year of the Gerald Ford administration and Carter’s 1977-80 presidency.
  The US under President Truman first air bombed Tokyo in March 1945 with 334 B-29 bombers killing 100,000 people and then nuked Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945 to force the Japanese armed forces to surrender and bring the war to a speedy end. Death toll in the two cities was 135000 and 75000 respectively.
  US military industrial complex (IMC)
  Emergence of Military Industrial Complex (IMC) in USA under President Truman in 1949 set the stage for the country to entertain global ambitions and to rob the resources of the world through use of brute military force. To achieve its geo economic and strategic ambitions, the IMC made the US military the world largest and most powerful armed forces.
  More than 50 years ago, President Dwight Eisenhower had warned the Americans not to let this profit-driven war machine endanger their liberties or democratic processes.
  In a speech given to the American Society of Newspaper Editors, on April 16, 1953, Eisenhower had highlighted the grave consequences of allowing the IMC to wage war, exhaust resources and dictate national priorities.
  He said, “Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, and the hopes of its children.
  The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000 population. It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals. It is some fifty miles of concrete pavement. We pay for a single fighter plane with a half million bushels of wheat.
  We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people… This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron.”
  The Americans however failed to heed to his warning and power and wealth went into their heads and megalomania overtook them.
  Interventions in South America
  To exploit and dominate South America, USA has systematically toppled revolutionary leaders and crushed popular movements and installed puppet dictatorships. Prior to 2nd World War, the US intervened in Cuba, Mexico, Nicaragua and El Salvador.
  After the Great War, Guatemala (1954), Dominican Republic (1965), Chile (1973), Grenada (1983), and Panama (1989) were attacked by USA. Purpose was to steal raw material and their resources so as to enhance its influence and to confront USSR’s communism.
  The Cold War
  Government of Mossadegh in Iran was overthrown by CIA-MI6 in 1953 since it had nationalized oil industry.
  The Vietnam War initiated by USA President Johnson in 1964 on two disputed incidents involving US warships in the Gulf of Tokin dragged on for a decade and claimed lives of 57000 Americans and three million Vietnamese. Laos, Cambodia and Korea also became victims of the US aggression.
  Israel was militarily strengthened and fully backed by USA in the 1967 and 1973 wars, in arranging peace treaty with Egypt in 1978, invasion of Lebanon, policy of forward settlements, and attacks on Gaza. Recently, Trump has declared Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and Syria’s Golan heights as part of Israel.
  CIA created a group of Mujahideen in Afghanistan six months before Soviet invasion in December 1979. Osama bin Laden (OBL) was a CIA agent brought into Afghanistan to help fight the Soviet troops and to assist in forming al-Qaeda. Pakistan was induced with $3.5 billion aid package for conducting covert operations in Afghanistan.
  After achieving all its objectives, the US callously ditched Pakistan and Mujahideen and befriended India, which was an ally of USSR. There on, Washington got fixed with the idea of gaining complete global dominance. George W. Bush senior drafted the New World Order in 1989.
  Iraq under Saddam Hussain was instigated to attack Iran under Imam Khomeini in 1980 and the war dragged on inconclusively till 1989. Saddam was then given a green signal to occupy Kuwait in August 1991 and soon after, the US-NATO forces attacked Iraq in November 1991 under a false narrative that Iraqi soldiers had pulled Kuwaiti babies out of incubators and threw them on the floor to die. Harsh sanctions were imposed.
  Collapse of USSR
  When the Soviet Union dwarfed into Russian Federation in 1991 and USA became the sole super power, the opportunity to end once and for all the bipolar nuclear confrontation that threatened global annihilation was squandered as President Bill Clinton chose instead to humiliate and use NATO to contain an already disheartened Russia.
  American Exceptionalism became the battle cry for an increasingly clueless federal government as well as for a media-deluded public.

While Sudan was bisected, and Somalia turned into a failed state, trouble was brewed up in several North African countries. The US deliberately fomented chaos in the Middle East to pave way for the establishment of ‘Greater Israel’.
  Orchestrated war on terror
  Global war on terror (GWoT) to fight terrorism was coined by the neocons in USA and this tool is in play for the last 17 years in pursuit of the US strategic and geo-economic goals.
  It was a gimmick aimed at changing the boundaries of Af-Pak region and Middle East, as given in Lt Col Ralph Peter’s article with a new map, “Blood Borders” published in 2006, and stealing the resources of Eurasia to enable USA to maintain its monopoly over the world for next 100 years.
  Earlier on, Brzezinski had propounded the concept of US uni-polarism in the 1970s. He held Eurasia as the key region, the capture of which would ensure control over Africa and facilitate world domination. He had recommended establishment of western front in Europe and southern front in Asia complementing each other.
  While western front was consolidated with the help of NATO, and later by integrating Eastern Europe, threat of communism was replaced with Islam, and Afghanistan – Iraq were selected to establish the southern front.
  According to a November 2018 study by Brown University’s Watson Institute of International and Public Affairs, the US has spent $5.9 trillion waging war in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan and other nations since 2001. Had this amount been spent in developing infrastructure, high-speed railroad, bridges and refurbished education system, America would have been in much better condition today.
  Former US President Jimmy Carter, recently stated that during his meeting with Donald Trump, he found him worried about China’s growing economy and expressed concern that “China is getting ahead of us.”
  Carter, who normalized diplomatic relations between Washington and Beijing in 1979, and is the only US President who didn’t go to war with any country, said he told Trump that much of China’s success was due to its peaceful foreign policy.
  Both China and Russia have refrained from wars and covert wars and are fast progressing economically. China is now the second largest economic power and is likely to overtake USA by 2025 just because it opted for peace and friendship and avoided war after it invaded Vietnam in 1979.
  Since then, China has not wasted a single penny on war, and has been at peace with its neighbors and the world and concentrated on improving its economy, technology and military muscle. And that’s why China is ahead of USA in almost every way.
  GWoT, IMC, Corporations, Jewish Lobby are drags for USA
  While the war has become a drag on the economies of USA and Europe, it has become a huge money-making venture for the American IMC since it helps in keeping its arms industry running. The US is the world’s largest arms exporter.
  The IMC has erected an empire unsurpassed in history in its breadth and scope, dedicated to conducting perpetual warfare throughout the earth. It has perpetuated a worldwide military empire with 800 military bases and American troops stationed in 177 countries.
  The US military consumes $600 billion a year. America’s war spending has already bankrupted the nation to the tune of more than $20 trillion dollars. Donald Trump is turning out to be the biggest deficit-and debt-increasing president of all time.
  In order to sustain America’s military empire abroad and expand the police state at home, he pushed for a $4.4 trillion budget for the fiscal year 2018/19 that has added $ 7 trillion to the already unsustainable federal deficit.
  It’s the IMC that is pushing America towards bankruptcy. It is bleeding the country dry at a rate of more than $15 billion a month (or $20 million an hour). The IMC is too powerful and wields control over power centres in USA including media and mass communications.
  It had prevailed upon Obama not to withdraw all troops from Afghanistan in December 2014 and is again pressing Trump not to pullout troops until a peace deal of its choice is signed.
  The US military budget is excessively heavy because of which no purposeful relief can be given to the hard pressed Americans. Maintenance of 800 military bases and Homeland security put in place after 9/11 costs exorbitant amount.
  In 22 States out of 50, there is wide scale discontentment and resentment because USA is the most heavily taxed country in the world and is also under heaviest debt. The American society is afflicted with rampant socioeconomic problems and violence.
  Besides the IMC, Corporations in USA have become too rich and powerful and are in a position to wield influence over the decision makers.
  The Israeli lobby in USA controls all levers of power in USA and nothing can move without their consent. These three factors stand as huge barriers in the way of making USA great again as pledged by Trump. His reckless policies are taking the US towards ruins.
  Another menace in USA is the gun culture which has become grave after series of acts of terror by the local Americans. Main reason why no steps have been taken by the successive regimes in Washington to control this menace is that arms industry managed by the Pentagon IMC is the major source of earning. To run this industry, wars and local conflicts are stoked, proxies are created and supported, mutinies and insurgencies are fomented all over the world.
  Costs of war
  Since the 9/11 attacks, America has poured $3.2 trillion into its wars, according to a study from Brown University’s Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs.
  The estimate includes what the US government has spent or pledged to spend on homeland security, medical and disability care for wounded veterans, the post stress disorder cases which run into thousands, and the military and diplomatic campaigns against terrorism in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, and Syria.
  It’s not just that America’s post-9/11 wars include some of the longest wars in the US history. Taken together, they’re also currently the second-most expensive after the 2nd World War. For 17 years, the US has been putting these wars on a credit card.
  As opposed to previous US regimes who raised taxes and cut down non-military spending to meet the war expenditure, George W. Bush administration cut taxes in 2003, engaged in deficit spending after using up a budget surplus that it inherited from the Clinton administration, and sold only a small number of war bonds. Obama administration took a similar approach and so has Donald Trump.
  The Trump administration in its first year in office boosted the annual military budget to $700 billion, up from an already gigantic average figure of $600 billion a year. Trump said the colossal military spend was a vital necessity to maintain America’s national security and global leadership. This approach of financing a war entirely with debt while cutting taxes is unprecedented in US history,
  Never before has the USA been so aggressive, and that in spite of the fact that there is no single enemy or combination of enemies that actually threaten either its territorial integrity or its vital interest.
  Iran in firing line
  After cutting to size the military threats to Israel in the Middle East, Iran is the only threat which could obstruct Israel’s ambition to accomplish its dream of ‘Greater Israel’. Iran has however, become too powerful after it became battle hardened in 9-year war with Iraq and acquired missile power which can decimate Israel, and formed a nexus with Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
  Trump’s threats against Iran began twelve days after he took office, in 2017 by putting Iran on notice. Egged on by Israel, he cancelled the July 2015 nuclear agreement with Iran in 2018 on the plea that Iran’s missile program is a danger to peace and must also be rolled back.
  He then designated IRGC a terrorist organization in April 2019 and imposed a steady stream of sanctions on Iran’s economy. After lifting the waiver given to eight countries to enforce a global ban on any purchases of Iranian oil, the latest sanction was imposed recently which covers industrial metals produced in Iran.
  On May 5th, hawkish John Bolton announced that a battleship-carrier strike group, led by the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln, and a bomber task force, including B-52s, were deploying off Iran’s coast. On May 10th, the Pentagon announced a second display of force: the U.S.S. Arlington and a battery of Patriot missile systems would join the aircraft carrier.
  These offensive moves have been undertaken on the self-assumed threat that Iran, or its proxies, could strike U.S. assets in the Middle East, including in the Persian Gulf, Iraq, and Syria. Gen Kenneth McKenzie, the head of U.S. Central Command also expressed similar concerns. President Trump is making moves that will provoke, instigate, or inadvertently drag the US into a war with Iran.
  Maximization of pressure has not budged Iran and it has not only threatened to close the Gulf of Hormuz but also hinted at restarting its nuclear program if the five guarantors of nuclear deal didn’t help Iran in exporting its oil.
  With the military deployments, Iran-US antagonism of 2016-17 has returned during which fifty provocative acts had taken place. The way things are heating up, war seems imminent. Closure of Hormuz would mean disruption of flow of 15 million barrels oil a day.
  The US before venturing upon an aggressive posture must have carried out a deep appraisal and must have weighed all the pros and cons of going to war with Iran. After the recent debacles in Afghanistan and Syria, from where Trump is contemplating troop pullout, the US cannot afford to suffer another setback and that too when crucial elections are due in coming winters.
  The US under Barack Obama had imposed four-fold sanctions as well as threats to destroy Iran’s nuclear sites by air in order to force Ahmadinejad to roll back Iran’s nuclear program. When its coercive tactics failed to yield results, the US had to resort to covert means to affect a regime change.
  The new reformist President Rouhani agreed to rollback and freeze the nuclear program in return for lifting of sanctions. Now Trump has tried to follow the same course by first cancelling the nuclear deal, then re-imposing sanctions and making accusations that Iran is abetting terrorism.
  Recent anti-government protests and acts of terrorism in Iran were meant to destabilize Rouhani regime change. Military buildup is aimed at further ramping up pressure. These tactics are intended to browbeat Iran or play a game in collusion with Israel to scuttle any peace deal between the Arabs and Iran.
  The sanctions on Iranian exports of oil are counterproductive. These will lead to a surplus in an already saturated market as other suppliers increase production. It may hurt Iran in the short term but more importantly, it will do the same to the western oil conglomerates —- not something any US administration can afford to risk.
  Having failed on all external and internal fronts, Trump devoid of strategic vision is desperate to add a feather in his cap through his skewed muscular policy. The people guiding him are of the same ilk as those around George W. Bush. Bolton and Pompeo are war mongers.
  It leaves open the possibility that the US may be pushed into a war that could create a similar mess in the world and Middle East in particular as Bush had done. We just have to wait and see who wins —- good common sense or the Israeli lobby.
  Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has played down Washington’s highly belligerent rhetoric against Iran, saying its real capability did not match its loud bluster. He has ruled out the possibility of war, saying, any confrontation between the US and Iran would not be “a military one,” and that “there was not going to be any war.”
  He added that the Iranian nation’s definite option will be resistance in the face of the US, and in this confrontation, which will be a clash of wills, the US would be forced into a retreat and Iran would be the ultimate victor of this battle. He ruled out any negotiation with the US as long as Washington sticks with its hostile approach.
  US belligerence against Russia
  The US legislators have adopted a highly belligerent posture against Russia and hold Putin accountable for its bellicose behavior against the US. They accuse Russia of destabilizing the US led liberal global world order and are demanding that Putin should cease and desist meddling in the US electoral process, halt cyberattacks on American infrastructure, remove Russian interference in Ukraine including in the Kerch Strait and stop creating chaos in Syria.” They are pushing to get Russia declared a terror abetting state. US-Russo nuclear agreements have been cancelled.
  A bill has been introduced in the Senate on April 11, 2019 by Republican Senator Cory Gardner and co-sponsored by Democrat Robert Menendez to designate Russian Federation as a state sponsor of terrorism and Russian-sponsored armed groups in Ukraine should also be designated as foreign terrorist outfits. They want to impose meaningful sanctions against Russia.
  If these measures are implemented, it will close the doors for any rapprochement in the foreseeable future. Russia will be repeatedly accused of poison gas attacks and war crimes in Ukraine and Syria with a view to find excuses to apply economic sanctions, and economic blockades.
  Trade wars against China
  China is threatened with trade wars and an air and maritime encirclement by the US military with the view to reverse China’s growth by striking fear in the Chinese leadership and forcing them to surrender economic sovereignty, financial markets and industrial competitiveness.
  China’s One-Belt-One-Road project is giving nightmares to USA. Opening up a US military base at Dokum in Gulf of Oman and heating up the Persian Gulf could be linked with Indo-Afghan-US plan to scuttle CPEC.
  Venezuela another target
  The US is currently providing political support to opposition leader Juan Guaido in Venezuela. Mike Pompeo, John Bolton, and Donald Trump have all repeatedly uttered the phrase “all options are on the table” when it comes to dethroning Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro.
  With soft support for Guaido thus far failing to dislodge Maduro from power, and with Washington increasingly agitated at Moscow for its support for Maduro’s regime, there are plenty of opportunities for things to escalate in Venezuela. The US is threatening to invade Venezuela primarily because it cannot digest a defiant state in the western hemisphere to maintain ties with Russia and China.
  USA’s challenges
  The 1% ruling class of USA dream of dominating the world but their empire is built on fragile economic foundations. It now stumbles over a series of military defeats abroad and increasingly relies on instilling fear, intimidation and propaganda on its domestic citizenry to regain its dominance. They seek to maintain their world domination, based on increasing exploitation and widening inequalities.
  Bush had used ‘shock and awe’ as a strategy to instill fear into the hearts of the adversaries. Iraq and Libya were humbled by using excessive military force. This tactic is still in use as the last desperate weapon for retaining an unchallenged world empire.
  The US ambitions have run into snags after the war crazy sole super power got stuck in the quagmire of Afghanistan, Ukraine becoming a flash point and North Korea threatening to retaliate with nuclear ballistic missiles.
  The US has locked horns with China, Russia, North Korea, Iran, Syria, Turkey, Taliban in Afghanistan, Mexico, Venezuela and several other South American States.
  Military threats directed against Iran are naked attempts to force them to dismantle their defensive missiles and submit to the US dictates, but so far there is no headway and in all probability the US will face another embarrassment.
  The US and its allies have failed to affect a regime change in Syria. Trump is contemplating withdrawal of US troops but is in a fix due to pressure of Pentagon and Israel and the fate of Kurdish fighters in Syria at the hands of Turkey.
  After the failure of CIA-Gullen inspired military coup in Turkey, Erdogan has emerged more powerful and he is fast shifting towards the emerging bloc in the east.
  The CIA-Mossad backed Islamic Caliphate led by Abu Bakr Baghdadi stand demolished.
  The US coercive and punitive acts against Pakistan are aimed at disabling its nuclear program and to make it a compliant state of India. India at the behest of USA is striving to create Greater Pashtunistan, Greater Baluchistan, Sindhu Desh and Jinnahpur with a view to divide Pakistan into four parts.
  Indo-Afghanistan belligerence and Indo-Israeli air intrusion followed by a plan to launch Brahmo missile attacks on Pakistan last February were backed by USA. Pakistan’s staunch resilience has befuddled USA and its strategic partners. Currently, it is engaged in melting its economy through IMF and sword of FATF.
  USA has failed to gain freedom of navigation in South China Sea China or to contain China.
  Russia are strategic partners and have become a power to reckon with. No amount of coercive tactics of USA has checkmated their economic and military resurgence.
  Ukraine has become a dangerous conflict zone where the unrest in Eastern Ukraine is backed by Russia.
  The US is supporting joint Arab air war led by Saudi Arabia against the Houthis in Yemen but this support may be withdrawn due to increased pressure of the US Congress.
  Afghanistan has become an Achilles heel of USA where it is fighting a losing battle, but is naively hoping for a peace deal with the Taliban of its choice. It seems to have got irretrievably stuck in the quagmire where several world powers had already sunk.
  In South America, despite the US interventions, there have been successful popular resistance in Mexico, Bolivia, Cuba and successful social movements in Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador and Venezuela.
  Trump’s ambition to make USA great again, Netanyahu’s craving for Greater Israel and Modi’s dream of making India the policeman of Indo-Pacific region and a global power seem farfetched.

This man is now claimed killed while his friends claim they are in possession of government documents. Is this true? The speed in which the U.S. government officially blamed Iran should give us pause, given our own history in the region​

The Trump administration was quick to point fingers at Iran after explosions on two oil tankers from Japan and Norway in the Gulf of Oman.
Undoubtedly, Iran is a plausible suspect. It has repeatedly threatened to strangle the flow of Persian Gulf oil from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq and the UAE if the U.S. embargoes Iranian oil. But the presence of a potential motive does not amount to the presence of evidence, and the owner of the Japanese tanker is already contesting the U.S. explanations.
But, if anything, the speed in which the Trump administration officially blamed Iran should give us pause, given John Bolton’s long history of fabricating intelligence in favor of war. The mere process of gathering evidence — let alone conclusive evidence — of how the attack on Thursday was conducted and who was behind it would take days and weeks, not hours.
In his press conference Thursday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, in fact, carefully avoided claiming the existence of any evidence and presented his accusations as a “government assessment,” which is different from a U.S. intelligence assessment, of which this administration is historically rather skeptical. (Of course, that raises another question: If the administration doesn’t possess evidence and can only offer a “government” assessment — a theory, really — why give a press conference in the first place?)
Instead of evidence, Pompeo presented a series of accusations of past alleged activities by Iran. He repeated his previous allegation — still not supported by any public evidence — that Iran was behind the attack on four other commercial ships near the Strait of Hormuz on May 12. He cited as suspicious the movement of Iranian missiles earlier this month, after Trump threatened Iran with genocide over Twitter.
Bolton, the national security adviser, had earlier tried to present these measures as offensive, even though U.S. intelligence had interpreted them as defensive maneuvers. And Pompeo even suggested that an attack against U.S. troops in Afghanistan conducted by the Taliban — a long-sworn enemy of Iran — was evidence of Iranian aggression.

But given the Trump administration’s complicated relationship with the truth, including Bolton’s history of manipulating intelligence, these accusations must be subject to intense scrutiny.
Nevertheless, eyes understandably turned to Tehran as news of the explosions spread: Iran’s longstanding position has been that either all countries can sell their oil through the Strait of Hormuz, or no one can. With the U.S. forcing more and more countries to cease buying Iranian oil, Tehran has appeared closer than ever to actualizing its threats.
Rising Persian Gulf tensions would likely lead to a surge in oil prices, which benefits Iran in three ways: It increases Tehran’s revenue from the oil it still sells, makes the U.S.’s “maximum pressure” strategy on Iran more costly to Trump, and could make some countries more inclined to circumvent the sanctions if they prove too costly.
And, creating a crisis may serve Iran’s larger interests. The European Union’s promises that Tehran would receive the economic benefits that it was promised under the nuclear deal have all proven empty, while Trump’s sanctions have been very painful to Iran.
But the U.S. has paid no cost for this bellicose policy so, by counter-escalating and accelerating matters toward a showdown, Tehran potentially shifts some of the risks of his sanctions policy onto Trump.
Still, all this context leaves many questions about the explosions unanswered.
Iran can achieve most — if not all — of its objectives through much more measured moves than attacks on oil tankers. It could, for instance, slowly expand its nuclear program and approach the limits of what the nuclear deal that Trump abrogated allows.
Tehran did so last month when it threatened to disregard some of the limits imposed by the nuclear accord, unless the E.U. provided it with the economic benefits it had been promised.
Attacking tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, on the other hand, provides Iran with few additional economic or diplomatic benefits while drastically increasing the downsides. Iran has little to gain from a violent escalation in which it will be seen as the aggressor, let alone one that allows the Trump administration to portray its bellicose policy as defensive and justified.
Beyond that, the fact that one of the tankers, the Kokuka Courageous, belongs to a Japanese company raises additional questions.
The attack against it occurred while Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was meeting with Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. If the Iranian government were behind the attack, it would appear to have been designed to humiliate Abe.
What Iran would gain from such unprovoked hostility, however, remains unclear. If Tehran had been uninterested in Abe’s offer of mediation, it could have simply declined his request to visit the country; there would have been no need to humiliate him and thus sour Iranian-Japanese relations.
Could a different faction of the Iranian government have been behind the attack in order to embarrass President Hassan Rouhani’s pro-diplomacy administration? Certainly, Iranian hard-line factions have a history of sabotaging Iran’s diplomacy with the West.
But if that was the goal, the attack should have occurred while Abe was meeting with Rouhani, not Ayatollah Khamenei. While Iranian hard-liners rarely miss an opportunity to embarrass Rouhani, there is no history of them going rogue to shame Iran’s supreme leader.

Again, Iran may very well have been behind the attacks; a case can be made that it has a strong motive. The potential motive, though, does not mean, as the president said on Friday, that “it’s got essentially Iran written all over it.”​

What the United States does in Iran is, after all, potentially a matter of war and peace — and the architects of the “government assessment” have a stated preference for one over the other.​

The Trump administration has blamed Iran for attacks on two oil tankers in the Sea of Oman without providing any evidence to back up the accusation.
On Thursday morning, Iranian rescuers rushed to the assistance of the two oil tankers in the Sea of Oman, transferring all of their 44 crew members to Iran’s southern shores.
Referring to Washington’s sanctions against Tehran following the former’s unilateral withdrawal from the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement with world powers, the statement said, “The US economic war and terrorism against the Iranian people as well as its massive military presence in the region have been and continue to be the main sources of insecurity and instability in the wider Persian Gulf region and the most significant threat to its peace and security.” It added that the recent developments in the region “serve as proof of the urgency” of engaging in “dialogue based on mutual respect” between “all regional countries… based on mutual respect, inclusivity and basic principles of international law.”
“Reiterating its longstanding position on the need for promoting peace and security in the broader Persian Gulf region, the Islamic Republic of Iran stands ready to play an active and constructive role in ensuring the security of strategic maritime passages as well as promoting peace, stability and security in the region,” the statement said in conclusion.

Putin Warns "All US-Russian Nuclear Treaties Due to Expire" - MSM Not Reporting It
Nuclear treaties (mainly between the USA and Russia) have formed the cornerstone of world peace, stability and safety for decades. They have been an essential mechanism in the international security architecture.

Nuclear treaties gave assurance to the world that the human race would cease to be drawn into a never-ending and extremely dangerous arms race – a nuclear arms race at that.

However, recent developments threaten this stability.

For years, the US has been steadily provoking many nations, especially Russia, with a variety of tactics, including false flag operations, sanctions, coups and importantly by pulling out of key nuclear treaties.




Now, there is only one nuclear treaty left (the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, or START, known in Russian as START III) that the US has not withdrawn from … and this is set to expire in 2021, with no signs of US interest in renewing it.

US History of Withdrawal from Nuclear Treaties

In 2002, the US withdrew from the Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM) Treaty of 1972. On February 2nd, 2018, in the document Nuclear Posture Review (NPR), the Trump Administration revealed that the US was changing its nuclear policy.

It was specifically retaining the right of nuclear first use (NFU) (meaning pre-emptive strikes) as well as embracing the development of low-yield nuclear warhead for submarine-launched ballistic missiles.

Later in 2018, Trump announced the US intention to withdraw in 6 months from the Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty of 1987, which he made official in a written statement on February 1st, 2019.

Some reports state that National Security Advisor and notorious warhawk John Bolton was the force behind the INF withdrawal – the same Zionist neocon warmonger itching for war with Iran, Venezuela, North Korea and any other nation not already under the heel of the US-led NWO.

A study of the NPR by Seyom Brown explains:

“Blurring the distinction between non-nuclear and nuclear war, the 2018 NPR reverses the commitment in the Obama administration’s 2010 NPR to reduce the role of nuclear weapons in US grand strategy … [the] NPR fails to show why modernized nuclear capabilities are better able to deter and defend against potential enemy aggression than technologically advanced non-nuclear capabilities. Its presumption of controllable nuclear exchanges will reduce the calculations of risk and increase the likelihood of conflicts escalating to nuclear war.”

How the US Tricked Russia into Dissolving the Soviet Union

In the above linked White House statement, the US tries to claim Russia is the one violating the INF, when actually it is the US itself. This kind of mendacity is typical of US behavior. History repeats itself.

It is reminiscent of how then President George H. W. Bush lied to then Soviet Chairman Gorbachev, promising him that NATO would not extend “one inch eastwards” and goading him into dissolving the Soviet Union. That turned out to be a giant whopper, as NATO has constantly expanded eastwards, gobbling up Baltic, Slavic and former Soviet states.

“The conditionality of the Soviet Union’s agreement to allow East Germany to be taken by West Germany and for the Cold War to end, was that NATO would not expand “one inch to the east.”

Who’s Violating the INF?

Russian President Vladimir Putin recently warned journalists of the US-withdrawal trend that has been happening – and the dire and urgent situation humanity subsequently now faces, given that there are less and less treaties to prevent another nuclear arms race.

Putin said:

“When in reality, it was the first step taken to the dismantling of the entire ‘carcass’ of the system of international security … It was a very serious step to have been taken … Now, the US is wanting to withdraw from the Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty [1987], also in a unilateral manner. At least in the first instance, they were honest about it.

“They just withdrew, in a one-sided manner. This time, recognising full well that someone will have to be held responsible, they’re attempting to blame Russia [for alleged violations of the INF Treaty] … why don’t you … go and open the INF Treaty text? Go and read it.

“It says in clear text you cannot install land-based missile launchers for missiles of short and medium range. It says so in plain sight. But no – they have placed missile launchers in Romania, and soon in Poland. It’s a direct violation. Go and look at the definition of short and medium range missiles – and then compare them to the capabilities of [missile carrying] drones. It’s the same thing.” – Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation

Putin goes on to say that Russia is looking to extend the New START / START III Treaty (which ends on February 5th, 2021) but they don’t ‘have’ to. The US has neither initiated renewal talks, nor shown any interest in conducting them:

“Our defense capability is such that it will absolutely guarantee the safety of Russia [against nuclear attack] for quite some time in the future. I have to be direct and say that we have overtaken our opponents in the creation of [defensive] hypersonic weapons. If no one is interested in extending the START-3, ok then we won’t.
“We have said 100 times already that we are ready to begin the work. No one is talking to us. There are no formal talks being had … And in 2021 – everything will end. Let me focus your attention – there will not be a single instrument that can regulate a [nuclear] arms race. No tool to curtail the imposition of weapons in outer space.”

Putin went on to dramatically spell out the implications:

“It means that we will have [the] constant presence of nuclear weapons above our heads. It will always be up there, constantly. Is this not where we are headed, and very quickly at that? Is anyone going to think or talk about this at all?
“Does anyone care? No – it’s just radio silence. What about the creation of low-power nuclear weapons? Or regulating strategic missiles without a nuclear warhead [which can be quickly refitted with nuclear ones] … Do you seriousness of the issue and how dangerous it can be?”

Indeed. The situation is very dangerous. If nuclear proliferation continues, combined with the new technological military advances of drones and space-based weapons, it is conceivable that we will have the metaphorical Sword of Damocles hanging over our heads at every living moment, only one millions of times more destructive.

Putin went on to make an appeal to have an open, transparent, professional dialogue with all people of the world, especially including all nuclear countries, declared or not.

This is an obvious allusion to the rogue nation of Israel, which harbors some 100-400 nuclear weapons, but adheres to a policy of nuclear ambiguity and refuses to state the obvious about its nukes.

He ended with a note of optimism, that both Trump and US Secretary of State Pompeo have expressed concern about US defense war spending, and so perhaps the US and Russia could work together.



Nuclear Treaties: Going Forwards … Or Backwards?

All this very much reminds me of the situation in 1962-63, when JFK and Khrushchev were at the helm of their respective nations. After the tense Cuban Missile Crisis nearly ended in nuclear catastrophe, JFK came to the realization that we must choose cooperation and peace, and stop stockpiling and engaging in an arms race out of fear.

He spoke about this in an inspirational speech in July 1963.

Sadly, with all the Russophobia, we seem to have broken trust and gone back to the fear-filled days at the height of the Cold War. That is only good for the Military Industrial Complex, the warmongers and the NWO manipulators … and horrible for everyone else.

My only question as of now is regarding CERN's role in all of the chaos. It's been confirmed to be capable of opening portals to other dimensions. Skeptics claim it will be what's used for Satan's arrival onto earth when he's released from the pit. They say this assuming that hell is even in another dimension or even is another dimension entirely when there is no way for any of the skeptics to know anyways.

It certainly sounds like the bible prophecy is playing out perfectly. Not surprising, seeing as it has never not played out perfectly to begin with.


On a side note. Jared Kushner’s Middle East peace proposal has been widely panned by international relations experts, and now three Israeli security experts have written a scathing editorial for Politico explaining how the plan could “blow up the Middle East.”
The editorial — which was co-written by Ami Ayalon, former director of the Israeli security agency Shin Bet; Gilead Sher, former chief of staff for Prime Minister Ehud Barak; and Israeli tech entrepreneur Orni Petruschka — argues that Kushner’s peace plan is “immoral” and stands a good chance of producing the opposite of its intended outcome.

In particular, the authors believe that the Trump administration is foolishly assuming it can dazzle the Palestinians with promises of wealth when such approaches have never worked in the past.
“The Trump administration’s focus on economics — led by Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner — is a strategic mistake that could stymie the negotiations before they begin,” they argue. “If Trump and his team studied history, they would know that placing economics before core political issues is a slap in the face to the Palestinians.”


The authors go on to explain how Trump’s peace plan could mean the end of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who is already on thin ice from Palestinians who believe he has been compromised by the Israeli government.
“He will not able to accept a deal that blatantly ignores Palestinian national aspirations, yet rejecting it will paint him as resisting peace,” they write. “Domestic pressure may force him to stop cooperating with Israel on security, which will lead to a hike in terrorism. The path from there to igniting the entire area would be short, as the painful history of the conflict shows.”
