Because we agree with you comrade waybread!

Trump supporters do seem like zealots who follow a strong orange leader. And the orange man is, after all, very bad! I agree 100% of with the argument proposed on this thread.

So what is the next move? re-education camps?
Certainly if they are cultists, those evil thoughts should be purged!
purge all memes
it's the only way [IMO]

After all - Trump is a cult leader
- a cult leader that does not abide by critical thinking.
How do these zealots dare to go against

the glorious and perfect theories of socialism?
A system which has been proven to succeed in every nation
that has been implemented!

Only a cultist zealot would refuse to give up their property!

MEMES are the work of a dicator!! Clear evidence this is a cult!

Only cultists would have fun with funny pictures! Another piece of evidence that Trump supporters = religious zealots!

Hey, guys-- You do realize that you are displaying some of the earmarks of cult membership: demonizing individuals who hold an opposing view, avoiding critical thinking (judging from your posts), and refusing to admit that the cult leader has any flaws, even when these are manifestly apparent.

So I don't find your recent off-topic attempts at sarcasm to be very impressive. I get that you are angry at my audacity, however.

As I said in my OP, this isn't about Republicans vs Democrats, conservatives vs. liberals. If you wanna be a conservative, I'm not trying to talk you out of it. If you think Democrats are a bunch of communists-- never mind Vladimir Putin's grasp of Trump's.... what-evers-- this thread isn't about that.

I get that millions of sensible people voted for Trump for reasons other than that they loved him personally. They would have voted for a different Republican candidate, as well. Some Trump voters really care about conservative judge appointments, for example. Whether I agree or disagree with them isn't on-topic, however.

This particular is about whether Trump and his hard core fans show characteristics of a cult of personality.

Got it?

I mean, what kind of democracy-loving leader gets a few thousand people at a rally shouting, "Lock her up!!" about his political opponent? What kind of patriotic American reaches out to the QAnon crowd and argues for demonstrable falsehoods in order to undermine free and fair elections?

I'm waiting for someone on the Trump train to talk about what he actually accomplished in office-- preferably in a rational tone of voice. Or maybe someone who actually attended Trump rallies will say it was Good Clean Fun, comparable to wearing a Cheese Head hat at a Green Bay Packers game.

Whatever.

But try not to convince me that you actually have no rational arguments as to why Trump's die-hard fans do/do not treat him like a cult figure.
good news

"...cult leader...." with FLOTUS pardons Christmas Turkey

JUP Did you know that studies from the Beijing institute of good behaviour have shown there is a correlation between excesive MEME use and cultist tendencies?

Is it possible memeing is the reason why Trump supporters become cultists?

Meme - free bleating in unison follows

I think it is the red hats! clearly its a symbol of white supremacy which Trump supporters use to communicate with each other their appreciation for their trumpian deity, the conqueror of worlds!

I believe the memes and hats are the cause - but what is the solution then comrade?

My thesis is that if somehow MEMES could be removed from the internet, then Trump supporters would lose any reason to follow Trump. Ergo that would solve the issue of cultism, given Trump supporters rally behind Trump due to its memetic powers.

Do you concur comrade?

I really dislike that hair.
It looks nice color wise but it looks all washed combed and blow dried without any moisture products so it just looks like it’s gonna get frizzy
