Traditional Astrology For discussions on Traditional Astrology only. (Note: Typically, traditional astrology is defined as using techniques developed prior to 1700 by astrologers from the Hellenistic, Persian, Hebrew, and Renaissance eras. In general, it relies on Ptolemaic aspects (sextile, trine, square, opposition and conjunction) though there may be some exceptions, and always excludes modern planets (Neptune, Uranus and Pluto,) as well as any asteroids. The focus is less on what would be considered modern psychological chart interpretation and more on prediction. Members who wish to explore a combination of traditional and modern ideas should feel free to start a new thread in an appropriate forum for further discussion.)

Mars in 8th Reduces Livehood & Property- Given Nocturnal/Diurnal/Other Considerations

One placement without the whole chart can tell you that much
because
although generalisation is fun, it is unreliable .

It depends on whether Mars is in its own domicile, exaltation, term, sect
and whether it is direct in motion.
Exactly

For example, Leo Rising, Sun with Taurus, Mars at 19 Pisces.
The native (I predicted this in advance)
lost wealth through deception and crime few times
on account of Mercury term and the image being double-bodied.
He also gives wealth (and has expenses) to his brother
for Jupiter, Mars and Mercury are natural significators of brothers. Jupiter is with Leo, Mercury is with Aries, in case you need that information.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I gave sidereal longitude. In this case, it would be near Denebola, not Regulus Regulus was at 29 tropical Leo 140 years ago, it is now in tropical Virgo because of factoring precession.

According to Robson

DENEBOLA With Mars = Bitter, vindictive, cruel, unpopular
loss of position and public disgrace. [Robson*, p.161.] http://constellationsofwords.com/sta...s_alphabet.htm

obviously generalisation is tempting
and so we keep in mind that
there are other considerations to explore with reference to Obama

Robson is not a traditional source even though he may sound like one

In contrast Ptolemy suggests DENEBOLA has characteristics of
Saturn and Venus
