Mars singleton in the 12th house?

I am especially concerned with this aspect of mine. I think I've read that Mars singletons are common in men (I'm not a man) who commit violent crimes. My Mars is in Leo, the only fire sign in my chart, and to add up to that, it is the only planet in the 12th house.

People view me as soft and tender-hearted-- however, they say that there is something about me that they can't explain. As a Gemini Sun, I am prone to being detached, this is exacerbated by my Capricorn Moon who seems very unemotional and I suppose my Mars sitting in the 12th house, I tend to hide my intensity. I am afraid of my Mars placement as it forms a rather ugly square with my Pluto, which I've read is also a violent aspect. Yikes.

Can anyone tell me something positive about Mars singletons, if any? I will admit that I get easily annoyed and irritated, but it's pretty hard to get me mad. I guess I don't let myself get really mad because of this aspect. I have had a friend tell me that everytime I get mad, I should engaged in rough sex, lol. Which seems like a good idea. XD

You could have simply been sent to your room to cool off, but thereby 'learning' not to express 'direct action'

Cappi moons tend to get along with older generation people, the *aspects* explain how your moon/emtions express and you only have two which are both bit challenging..

Yikes. Pluto being in the house of communications suggests to me a more likely scenario of verbal abuse. If you are afraid of your internal intensity, perhaps doing something physical like sports or martial arts??

Singleton planets
“If a planet happens to be the only one in an element, quality, or house type, that planet is a Singleton and it can funnel all of the “energy” of the horoscope. This planet is often the most important one in the horoscope. In other words, if you just interpret the position of this one planet by sign, house, and aspect, you will get to the “heart of the horoscope”. The effect is the same as if that planet were the only one on one side of the chart.”

(There is a book out by Shirley Lyons Meier, "Elemental Voids, More than Meets the Eye", which gives a good discussion of missing elements.) The Inferior Function can be a source of great motivation and creative expression.

Your mars has a nice sextile to mercury (communincations) suggesting you 'talk things through' rather than give into impulsiveness

Your mars also has a quincunx to uranus. Sometimes this can suggest a bad temper or bit accident prone, but equally can suggest that on occasions you could suffer from some painful reaccuring health matters.

Quote:
Mars Quincunx (Inconjunct) Uranus

You want something different than the rest of society and this in itself is neutral. Your frustrations can arise because your manner of expression of your unique desires cuts against the grain of what other people expect from you and your methods don't achieve your goals. Slow down - your intensity and drive can leave you drained without getting you closer to your goals. Only when you are able to hold to a course of action for a long time are you able to get results. Your attempt at "quick wins" always requires you to start over.

Re: Mars singleton in the 12th house?

I have a Mars in the 12th house as well, and a Mars square Pluto. Furthermore my Mars is in Cancer...and I'm a man...so I hope I won't commit any violent crimes in the future
Just like you said, people view me as well as soft and tender hearted. And there are very few people who actually saw me angry, and they can't even imagine me like that. But the truth is I do get angry, I just don't show it. Only if someone pisses me off really bad. I always imagined my Mars being under a very deep ocean (Cancer + 12th house), and the only time it awakens is when Pluto pumps him up and makes him explode like a volcano. I always kept it under control, but like they say, it's not very healthy. In time I managed to "bring" my Mars closer to the "surface", but it's not easy, and I still have a lot of work to do.
I wonder if there is anything positive about these aspects :P
