What is up with this week? Is it lack of communication week?

At least in the business and corporate sense.

Like I got a job offer a week ago and have not heard of next steps at all and on top of that, no one is getting back to me period regarding some of the more desirable jobs I was chasing and final steps there.

I wouldn't worry about it. They might be doing a background check which takes weeks. Only worry if you get another offer.

Mercury recently went direct and it is separating from a square to Saturn. Give it a few more days or so and things should start moving again.
