Sun Conjunct Jupiter

So I've heard there's a lot more to it than just the simple aspect. You have to look at a lot things. I wanna know how exactly my Sun conjunct Jupiter works. Sun and Jupiter affect the signs of Cancer (my rising), Leo, Pisces, Sagittarius and Aries. And these are my H1, H2, H9, H6 and H10 respectively

That was a Jupiter discussion, not my Sun's state.

An Aries Sun is Exalted and essentially dignified
however
traditionally the Sun in Leo is considered stronger
and more dignified than an Aries Sun

'....After its own sign
the next best place for a planet to be
is in its sign of exaltation
.
In symbolic terms this is comparable to being an honoured guest in someone else's home.
There is not the same level of freedom or strength as when a planet is in its own sign
but it shows a dignified position, often indicating a person of respect or rank.....'

'....One has only to consider the meaning of the word 'exalted'
to understand the use of this dignity in judgement.
The 12th century Hebrew astrologer, Ibn Ezra,
said that a planet in its own exaltation

"is like a man in the pinnacle of his rank",

while Lilly less flatteringly notes:
" it presents a person of haughty condition, arrogant, assuming more unto him then his due".....'

Wait a second. You said that it's stronger in Leo, but what about Aries' 2nd decan? It has the same essential dignity as in Leo's, since there isn't any decan in Leo ruled by the Sun. :sideways:

Also you're putting exaltion as if it were bad! I personally consider it's better than in its own sign. Leo gives way too much pride to the Sun. The qualities IMO are way too exaggerated there. Like what does the Sun need? The Aries energy, not more arrogance. It's the same with the Moon: Who wants a moon in Cancer? It's too sensitive. The Moon in Taurus gives it what it needs. Taurus only wants to be in good terms with everybody, and forgets about the bad side of people.

Wait a second.
You said that it's stronger in Leo,
That's the traditional perspective
i.e.
Leo Sun is in domicile also known as 'at home and on familiar territory'

but what about Aries' 2nd decan?
It has the same essential dignity as in Leo's,
An Aries Sun in Aries decan has less essential dignity than a Leo Sun
i.e.
and exalted planet is comparable to an honoured guest
in someone else's home

Aries is the home territory of Mars
so
in this case Aries Sun remains an honoured guest in the home of Mars
and not at home
hence not as strong as if at home

The lowest form of essential dignity is dignity by face - the 'decanates'.
Lilly said that in judgement:
"A Planet having little or no dignity, but by being in his Decanate or Face, is almost like a man ready to be turned out of doors, having much ado to maintain himself in credit and reputation."

hence
Aries Sun in Aries Decan
means simply
Aries Sun is an honoured guest in the home of Mars
"......having little or no dignity,
but by being in his Decanate or Face,
is almost like a man ready to be turned out of doors,
having much ado to maintain himself in credit and reputation."

It portrays a picture of a person who carries some respect, but is struggling to maintain it.....'

since there isn't any decan in Leo ruled by the Sun. :sideways:
nevertheless Decan is the lowest form of essential dignity
and not equivalent to domicile

Also you're putting exaltion as if it were bad!
That's an extreme exaggeration
and
complete misinterpretation of my statement
that
a Leo Sun is in domicile
and hence stronger in Essential Dignity
than an Aries Sun which is in exaltation

generalisation is fun
but unrealiable
generalisation fails to reliably delineate specific natal charts

STUDYAID
TRADITIONAL ORB TABLES
The emboldened figures use the most commonly accepted orb allowance.
The figures in normal type indicate a wider allowance accepted by some
 http://www.skyscript.co.uk/aspectorbs.html

Hey, also if an aspect between the Sun and an angle allows for an orb of 11 degrees, then I actually have Sun conjunct MC?

MC -- 22º30' Aries
Sun -- 11º36' Aries

Just barely haha

Also my Sun rules my MC aswell as Mars.

I also read conjuncts also allow wider orbs plus sun and moon.

Thnx my son has leo sun conjunct jup leo 13 wide orb... im allowing it lol.

I'd say it's a bit too much. Although I'd have to see his natal chart in order to tell you more about it. (Maybe there's a some kind of reception between Sun and Jupiter) Also :sun: :conjunct: :jupiter: in :leo: is like way too much ego so it could be actually bad.
