40 days mantra

Hi there,

I am new to this forum. If any astrologer suggest to chant a mantra for 40 days continuously and in between if a girl will have periods then during periods, can she continue with mantra's without any ritual to be performed.

I am posting this here, as I cannot ask this question face to face.

Please answer this question.
