Which Career Path Should I Follow?

I’m trying to decide between two careers and I asked “which career path should I follow?” One is more psychology related and the other more business related. I want to know which one is meant for me and would make me happier in terms of success (financial and growth) and satisfaction.

I’m moon in Virgo in the 3rd house, career is Jupiter in the 6th in its own sign. Virgo and 3rd house are both analytical, organized, they’re about communication, etc. You could argue this can apply to business-oriented careers and psychology. Sagittarius is about travel and optimism, I could see the latter applying to psychology and the former applying to business, because consultants, for example, do some traveling.

Can anyone see a more clear answer?

The moon in this chart is void-of-the-course, so I don't think it's going to give you a good answer. Normally a career question would be best asked of your natal chart.

Your co-significator, the sun, applies to an opposition with Saturn.

Uranus is the modern ruler of psychology. Mercury is the traditional ruler of business and commerce. Neither of these is in a wonderful situation.

Is there something you actually like better than these two options?

Note that a large company might well hire a psychologist in its Human Resources department.

I assume you're prepared to get a Ph. D. in psychology and a MBA if you choose the business route, as these are pretty much the credentials in these fields for career advancement.

Hi, Waybread. Thank you for your answer and your insight! There isn’t really any other option I’m passionate about besides those two careers, so it’s a little unfortunate that Mercury and Uranus aren’t in the best situation as you say. I suppose I’ll take a look at my natal chart and see if it hints at one or the other, though I specifically remember my 10th house (Taurus) ruler Venus being in the 9th house of Aries, and retrograde. It squares Uranus but makes no aspects to Mercury, though positively aspects Saturn.
