Top Three Terrible Career Choices

So, I thought it might be fun for us to list the top three worst career choices based on your chart. List what you think they are, and post your chart.

It could be instructive for chart interpretation, as well.

Mine (chart in signature):

1) Athlete.
2) Stripper.
3) Saleswoman.

Neat topic, Flappy!

1- Lawyer.

2- Actor.....for SN reasons. :pinched:

3- Army man...violence of any kind is just not my thing.

4- Stripper.

More than 3, sorry.:sideways:

-Surgeon. (I hate the smell of blood, and the sights alone would send me reeling)
-Embalmer. (same as surgeon, but dead )
-Telemarketer (being phony and bothering people, not for me)
-Taxidermist (would break my heart)

My chart is predominantly air and fire (Leo.) This translates as "excitement" (fire) about "ideas" (air.)

Worst careers would be anything too rote, non-mental, and routine, like working on an assembly line or in an office cube farm.

But another bad idea would have been to rack up a hundred thousand dollars in student loans, getting graduate degrees in low-employment intellectual fields like philosophy or classics.

Now that I'm retired, I get to study these fields if I wish.

1. Mediator

2. District Attorney

3. High-End Call Girl

I've considered all of them them at different times in life - but stuck with health & welfare, writing, and managing a laundry-mat.

All in all and in general - dealing with dirty linens, mine and others ( Pluto/NN & Chiron/SN) is what I opted for.

I can see from the charts why people selected the careers they did for everyone except you, so far. Leo Moon in the 5th, Mars in Aries square Saturn... seems like Military and Actor aren't so strongly against the grain from your placements (not just because of those two placements, of course, but just mentioning them as examples).

3. High-End Call Girl

3. Stripper ( Is there a pattern emerging????)

Now what would a good stripper chart look like?

To be honest, I got the idea for this thread from hearing an interview with someone who was a stripper and said it was the worst decision because she was so bad at it that she never made any money.

Hmm, I'd look toward the house of Mars before using it. Being in the 12th, if there is one thing I know it's that for every action I take there is this strong sense of guilt after it. Now, I don't mean EVERY action, but any action that causes harm to another. I will think about it. I will know about and it will kill me (This is why the Army and Law is a no no).

The Trine from to my moon is also a no-go. Emotions always seem disgusting to me on personal levels and I dislike expressing them. Not that I'm no good an actor, no no, I can actually act very well and I remember being called a "Natural". Hence why I put it in the list. But I just can't bring myself to enjoying any of that. I also don't like faking or lying and acting in lying in it's most entertaining form. The SN could play a role in all of this since it's also in Leo, but Idk.

I could just be a dull chicken. :sideways:

With YouTube, being a makeup artist is actually possible in the sense that you can live a plentiful and live the American dream. Though everyone who does makeup tutorials or beauty tutorials does the same thing, and its very repetitive, but people still flock to them and their views rake in revenue.

On Facebook I see so many people sharing and saying how they want to be a stripper because of all those photos of the cash the strippers show off after the show. The ones sharing it the most are teens, so they are more sexually liberated and tolerant than us in that sense I guess.

My ex-gf made pretty good use of those youtube videos. Was (is) the resident stylist in her social circle, and she makes money with it too (ahh, the joys of an angular Venus).

Poor deluded teenagers, most of them probably won't make the cut to rake in that kind of cash. They're making the glamour fool them

There is site with a little series on the charts of pornstars. I think this would be applicable to strippers too, seeing as how they're in the same industry:

http://www.sevenstarsastrology.com/?cat=12

From the first article:

There is no specific “**** star” astrological signature, but certain sets of factors show up repeatedly when it comes to adult film stars. This thread may be offensive to some, but many others wonder if ancient astrology has anything to say when it comes to those who become socially prominent through notorious sexual behavior quite contrary to social norms, such as **** stars and prostitutes.

Nodes - arrow sign placards at the junctures in life - "which way should i go?"

"This way to the desert" or This way to the sea" ?

I think the nodal relations in a chart to moon are important in career choices, yay or nay - for the ultimate decisions we fulcrumed at in life.

I think a 13 year old's chart is the best indicator and should be studied by parents and interested astrologers to see where those nodal issues will take them to avoid the bad career choices in the future that we here are considering.

The first Jupiter return at 12 precedes the 14 year Saturn opposition.

By this age - kids have a pretty clear indication of what they are good at and what brings them joy.

Let's nurture it so we don't end up on you tube putting make up on lacy donkeys and swinging from poles or cigarettes video games or such.

Our life anchors at this age usually lead us into our ways of life.

When I was 13, I remember I wanted to be a pediatrician who saved kids lives, a professional tennis player or a business owner. (moon ruled mars, leo rising, pluto in 2nd).

I was never encouraged for that.

Instead - I was encouraged to be smart, hold myself accountable, and stand up for myself on my own. (uranus sun MR, jupiter saturn cap, sun-neptune)

See how it works?

(by the way - I think I have known at least 10 strippers and at least 4 known 'high end' call girls in my life and friends - all of whom have strong saturn in their chart (and a few with a neptune chaser) almsot most of them - not the addicts still in action, sadly - put themselves through college, bought homes and their kids are stellar and their husbands tolerant of their past and forgiving too.

Somewhere in the subtext of this is Saturn.

Where is my greatest worth and common sense aligned?

I will be generous enough to transport the show into a comic book shop. Sometime soon. I like to keep an air of anticipation.
