Transiting Mars Conjunct Chiron; To Hurt or To Heal?

Hello everyone. I have this transit coming up in the near future.. and I have become curious about others' experiences with it. Transits of Chiron and transits TO Chiron have been incredibly significant markers in my life.. but I am still trying to better understand this particular transit. I wonder; would it be more about hurting or healing? Maybe its in the channeling.. This transit will occur in my my natal 7th house, under Leo. I am guessing it may have something to do with me asserting myself creatively in relationship to others.. possibly males (I have always had a hard time with that).

So what I am wondering is, what happened for you or those you know who've gone through this transit during this time? What house and sign did the conjunction fall under? How they did they cope with the energies at play? I know transiting Mars stirs up whatever it comes into contact with.. and I suppose with Chiron, it could bring energy to assertiveness about healing or empathetic experiences.. or it could cause some kind of injury and rip open an old, possibly neglected or poorly recovered wound.. Any thoughts? Any stories?

Also - if anyone has any idea of what effect TRANSITING CHIRON has on the natal VERTEX/ANTIVERTEX axis.. I would very much appreciate the insight! Chiron will transit my anti-vertex as transiting Mars conjuncts Chiron natally.. and because of the 'fated' nature of this sensitive point, I am immensely curious..

Blessings to all of you!

Last feb 09 T mars in Aquarius conj chiron in 1st house brought some medicine for my arthritic knees which actually worked. After working my way through painkillers and Holland and Barrett shelves I stumbling accross the right information and had to send off to Jersey or Guernsey off the internet. So it was a physical healing for me then

chiron in 1st is really good position for healers and this is true, but healing myself is bit more difficult. Vertex is only a 'point' used in synastry between two people's charts. Are you in a relationship now that this may affect?

Astrologer50: I am so glad you were able to improve your health! So in your case it would appear that Mars brought action, not aggression or violence, to your 'wound'.. that's very encouraging to hear! And no I am not currently in a relationship, I was just wondering if the vertex carried any significance in the interplay of one's own chart, rather than solely in synastry. I suppose I shall see when Chiron crosses over mine... I have been keeping in correspondence however with an alternative healing arts practitioner in the local area and have scheduled an appointment with her which, I did not realize at the time, falls on the 17th which is the day before the transit of Mars conjunct Chiron begins for me - at least according to astro.com's 6 month transit forecast calendar. Maybe I will post back here for future lurkers/commenters my experience; whether it was positive and negative, and the nature of it, so that this thread might serve as a better resource for learning about the effect of Mars/Chiron transits.

Also, thank you for the links! I always enjoy having material to read through.. That was very thoughtful. :joyful:

All the best!

Here are some links on vertex -
Vertex
"Those who use the Vertex generally feel it is a point of karmic or fated connection. Some consider it a point of "wish fulfillment". It is perhaps most widely used in synastry. The Vertex is said to be activated at major turning points in our lives, most notably when we meet a significant other or end a significant relationship, and some believe it is triggered when there is a birth or death"

With transits and timings -- look to the retrograde hit (backwards hit). For the actual dates, look in an online ephemeris
