There can be/was a time I used to be angry with the world and how people treat one another, I tried helping a older brother in his social relationships where he seems to mix with people who're no good for him, spends all his money. Whilst a friendly nice guy, I could perhaps selfishly but genuinely say until many other lifetimes he'd struggle to find balance.
My opinion is that of a child lacking experience. When you're young you give in more frivolously to your hearts desires, you believe more, you have so much faith in yourself.
Let's say before that, before that spiritual level, there are people who're ID ridden to hell. Completely unable to look beyond their viewpoints, their emotions, choices. They're the spiritual zealists who want you to be bread and butter to the way they see the world, they're the deadset conformists, who have a problem with you, then theres people who love money and ambition and see nothing past their egocentrism. before that, are psychopaths, sociopaths who can't see anything beyond their crimes: They see, they want, they get anyway they can and want.
I had a mother who was totally unable to see that her family was something to be happy with during the many years she's spouted about her 'Freedom' now she is older. She had many relationships with many men whilst being in love with other men. She gives no sympathy for anyone, feels like a victim herself, goes on holidays every year and it seems like she lacks any interest familiarly in her family, distrusts/dislikes people outside the family. A guy could give her the world and she wouldn't care: It's her freedom, her viewpoints, her view of the world. She is unwilling to let in others. Not quite self infatuated, but very set in her ways.
Below that, a lower spiritual level, I could see someone like this other elderly man who wanted nothing more than his children to be 'great', discards complete sympathy for the sick and needy, loves money, prestige, status, fame.
I'm just trying to compile there is a example where these people are not going to alter because it's like they're unable to see anything beyond their points of view, before that, themselves and then their ID.
I could say very much I am a old soul, there is not much worth seeking in the fabric of this reality other than meditation, introspection, being on my own and treating my loved ones out when I can and keeping my hands to myself: It is hard for me myself to be ambitious, whilst the thought did delight me once.
So I could say there is a spectrum: The very lowest people being closer to predatory animals, like wolves: They see nothing beyond their crimes, have no morality, have done some of the most wretched disgusting acts in history, there are people who're more like the toddler, less like the infant who seems likely to lash out and scream if they aren't cared for or have their way. There are then people beyond that who want the world to be the way they want it to be, not in order, there are people who're ambitious, love money, somehow the self becomes more about the other, but it wouldn't occur for dozens and dozens of lifetimes.
There was a video on youtube touching this, he was of austrailian descent but I can't see to remember what it was called. It's just seems we literally mature from what we'd like to do, to what we want people to be like and the world, to wanting the world to change to become more about other, so on and on.
I have come to this thought tonight becomes I could say I've become frequently cynical and coming to a relevation that this is a less negative discordant way of looking at things. Whatever it is, whatever will happen, I fail to see how it would change.
Spiritual growth seems inevitable but very slow. If you've been cynical like me, I hope this more impersonal way of looking at things, perhaps assists you.
