Planets in late degrees - will I be famous?

Just came across a fascinating article on planets in late degrees http://milkywayastrology.wordpress.com/2008/08/15/planets-in-late-degrees-what-do-they-mean/, then noticed I do have some in my chart. The article did focus on the Sun at late degrees through the houses so I couldn't shed more light on the particular planets I have at late degrees.

However, one thing it did say was:

"If you see a Sun, Midheaven, Part of Fortune, or chart ruler in those degrees, then the career should have a measure of fame"

And I do.... Part of Fortune, that is!

Chiron is @ 29 deg - so the only other 'technically' late degree
Neptune & Mercury are also @ 28 deg

Does anyone have more information on this? Or more specifically on those particular planets at late degrees?

Whoa, mars in detriment AND in 12th house AND on AC!

Pluto at a critical degree, in 1st house and in scorpio!?

Jupiter conj sun in its own sign!? in 2nd house!?!?!?!?!?! luuuuuuucky!!!

what does your father do for a living, is it police/crime related?

As far as the "late degrees" is concerned, I'd suggest buying some books from reputable authors to learn more on the subject, the internet can have information that isn't exactly...accurate.

you need to tell us about how this placement affects you, and in great detail!

Hmmm well the plot thickens. I didn't notice that early degree either as I was focused on the late ones. It seems this phenomena is otherwise known as a cusp? I found this quote:

"Technically the cusp of any sign is the position at the end of ther sign in 28 or 29 degrees, or at the beginning of the sign at 00 or 1 degrees. Astrologers differ as to whether to call such a person, for example at 29 degrees Cancer, a Cancer or a Cusp cancer with Leo influences. the ebst solution is to remind yourself that the person is on the cusp and to recognize that late and early degrees may have an infleunce from either the sign that they are leaving or the one that they are moving toward. Look at the balance of the chart."

Pluto at a critical degree, in 1st house and in scorpio!?

My moon is also in Scorpio and is Unaspected. So my emotions are always there, deep under the surface but most of the time I have quite a calm demeanour. I can be very reactive when something riles me, but most often I remain a 'witness' not taking anything personally. On the times that I do react, I have obviously gone into autopilot but then the 'witness' can come back in and observe, that's if I have the awareness to have done so.

I feel that this witnessing, allows me to learn from and keep those powerful emotions under control, without necessarilly repressing them.

Jupiter conj sun in its own sign!? in 2nd house!?!?!?!?!?!luuuuuuucky!!!

I wasn't aware Jupiter was Conjunct my Sun? Isn't it conjunct Uranus? I know its in the same house but isn't that 9 degrees apart?

Actually my Father is an Engineer, more specifically a Thermal Analyst works on rocket propulsion, sometimes military under the Official Secrets Act, so I never knew exactly what he does.

I can give you a little bit of background into my life and you can see if that corroborates my chart.

I studied Multimedia at college, but found that it didn't interest me much by the second year but instead of dropping out I stayed just to get the degree, but nonetheless ended up getting a lousy degree because of it.

After I graduated I fulfilled a long term plan to go to India, alone and for 9 months. I ended up initially meeting an Indian man in the south through some strange synchronicities (aren't they all?!) as if it was written in the stars. I stayed for four months, taught in the local english school, learnt the local martial art @ 5 AM every morning in a mud hut, drank the local toddy (coconut wine), socialised with only local people (there were no foreigners) and was introduced to spiritual teachings for the first time - J.Krishnamurti which really captivated me because I just didn't get what the hell Krishnamurti was saying, he didn't seem to have a point, his writing just seemed go round and round in circles and nothing I had read previously had done that. It was something completely original to me, so it started a kind of love affair of sorts with his work.

After I left, I travelled alone up to the Himalaya mountains and stayed in Dharamsala - where the Dalai Lama resides and quickly made some Tibetan friends there as well as with foreigners and local indians.

While alone in my room I had a mystical experience after practising a hatha yoga technique which I learnt from a book I had just bought. But without a teacher I really had no idea what had just happened.

After I returned to England I took up work in an office offering employment advice. As my first office job I was surprised at the office politics going on but never took part in any of the drama. Again remaining an observer. I became the impartial friend of both warring factions in the office. A kind of go-between. Perhaps this is my Libra Asc shining through?

Around this time I took up study of Aikido which I would refer as more of a mind-body discipline than a martial art outright. Quite soon, I found myself attending a week long course in Somerset. I had an experience of the energy, Ki travelling up my arm, which I had not experienced before while the Master of our group was demonstrating a technique. This must have initiated or re-kindled the energy that awakened in the himalayas a while before because a couple of days later I had a profound mystical experience, on a train!

Soon after this I went travelling again, with the money I had saved from working at the office. I went first to Egpyt then through Sudan into Ethiopia where I felt strangely at home and had a relationship with an Ethiopian girl, we even lived together. But I got sick and ended up in hospital and was advised to fly back home. It turned out that I was fine when I got checked out back home. So I continued my travels - flying to India for a second time.

I wont keep this too long, but I met some very interesting people on my travels as well as my future partner who I ended up travelling with until last summer.

I most recently was in New Zealand which I found to be one of the most beautiful and mystical of places.

I don't know how much of that was astrology relevant!

Anyway lemme know what you think.

Official secrets act? BINGO! (mars rules police, 12th house deals with jails/military/hospitals)

just curious with that pluto placement, I'm guessing with a sextile to uranus/sun there's some brilliant things he's making, and probably NOT for the best of intentions! That mars in detriment like that, have him watch his back! (in fact, look for easy clues in his chart, like neptune on AC, pluto/mars square AC from MC, or oppose MC from pluto or mars)

Jupiter IS too wide, but as you can see, astro.com is counting it (sometimes I hate astro.com charts, their orbs are so loose) but it's still close, which means you benifit! read up about jupiter conj sun, it's pretty rad.

your moon is aspected! well sorta, by MC and chiron lol

speaking of chiron, you have a pluto/neptune yod as well as I, but chiron is so "meh" in modern astrology, some love it some don't. Do you feel the yod? (I sure do!)
