So for me, Astrology has really given a method to the madness. The funny part about it is I used to despise Scorpios and it turns out my Mars, Pluto, and Saturn are all in Scorpio in my FIRST house. Talk about "projection is reflection." I also am not that fond of libra’s in general. They’re so co-dependent and ANNOYING to me. Turns out I’m a Libra rising, go figure. LOL

As an empath, I’ve always been pretty understanding about where people come from in their actions or opinions so long as they base their stance off facts. I also often feel bad for even the jerks of course. Now with astrology, I Have been able to zero in on the pettiness of my Scorpio Stellium (if you will) and really be able to insert my boundaries knowing that being vindictive is in my astrological DNA.
In any case, I like to know how people tick and knowing basic astrology has also saved me a lot of time in dealing with certain people, especially when it comes to dating. I know It’s not a one size shoe that fits all but it can give me a preview and to watch someone’s potential is and at my age I really don’t have time to waste anymore.

I also love tarot I’m deep in the symbolism and I foster kittens because humans are a little less grateful than them when you help them out. that’s the Aquarian humanitarian in me I guess LOL.

Other than that I have a few accomplishments under my belt. Not to brag, but Never marrying is one of my proudest accomplishments, thanks to all the "loneliness" aspects of my chart. my intuition is also getting stronger not only because of the tarot and astrology use but for example, when I meet someone who lacks the amazing sense of humor I possess I can tell pretty quickly they lack trauma from their childhood. like excuse me for not having inner child wounds.

Anyway, I used to do comedic YouTube videos because, well, I think I’m funny. Still do them, inconsistently, I was in the military once upon a time too apparently. Doing INTELLIGENCE because I'm an AQUARIUS and I'm hellsa smart, allegedly. And Yea OK I'm done. Can't wait to make astro friends because every time I discover something and try to share it with one of my friends, well let’s just say, I get more reaction from my cat.

Also I haven’t looked at anyone else’s introduction of themselves yet so I’m not sure if this intro is of average length or not, but in the case that it is extra long, just know that I used the voice feature on my phone to do speech to text for this and clearly I like the sound of my voice.

Fun fact: I used to leave ridiculously long Amazon reviews that really should have been mini blogs as I would go into basically an unnecessary story about why I liked the product & they banned me from leaving anymore reviews :((((

our TRADITIONAL ASTROLOGY ONLY board
is at
http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum...splay.php?f=92

For discussions on Traditional Astrology only.
Note: Typically, traditional astrology is defined as using techniques developed prior to 1700 by astrologers from the Hellenistic, Persian, Hebrew, and Renaissance eras.
Specifically it relies on Ptolemaic aspects sextile, trine, square, opposition and conjunction
and excludes modern planets Neptune, Uranus and Pluto
non-Ptolemaic aspects, as well as any asteroids.
The focus is less on what would be considered modern psychological chart interpretation
and more on prediction.
Members who wish to explore a combination of traditional and modern ideas
should feel free to start a new thread in an appropriate forum for further discussion.

our MODERNIST ASTROLOGY ONLY board
is at https://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=95
For discussions on Modern Astrology only.
Note: Typically, modern astrology is defined as using techniques developed around the late 1800s by Theosophists.
Specifically it relies on psychological, evolutionary, karmic, and non-western interpretation approaches
and includes Neptune, Uranus and Pluto
and non-Ptolemaic aspects.
The focus is more on psychological chart interpretation instead of prediction.

Hey friend, do you happen to have a good link on arabic parts?

thanks again i love what you sent.
That's okay
interesting thread discussion
https://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=115563&highlight=ARABIC
You got that backwards.
Arabic astrologers inherited all important Lots from the Hellenistic tradition. They invented new ones, but the concept was already there. The Lot of Fortune dates to at least first century BC. ''Arabic Part'' therefore is a misnomer. The only difference in their usage I can think of was that early Hellenists thought of Lots as places (Lot of Fortune did not have a degree, but the sign associated with it became and was called Fortune), not as points (but that can be seen in Ptolemy and some Hellenists, Ptolemy is likely the reason they were conceived as such later).

Unless by Hellenistic and Arabic you meant modern astrologers who use methods from those traditions, which would be a rather strange designation too.
Quite so. By the time of Paulus Alexandrianus (c.4th century CE) Greco-Roman astrology had over 90 Lots in use. Later "Arabic" astrology (more appropriately called "Islamic Transitional Era" astrology) added some dozen or so more; today (in Modernist astrology) contemporary Lots are being added.

I would suggest it may not be the most prudent idea to give one's real name or physical location
on forums like this for reasons of privacy and personal safety.

Not to frighten you, but since this is the internet, advise you not to use anything resembling your real name or to geolocate yourself; in other words, as much as possible, be X from ZYX.
Please do not give out personal information. No one here has a right or need to ask you to.

I'm here because I genuinely want to connect with like-minded individuals who have also gone through their own spiritual awakenings or rebirths. I believe that there is so much power in sharing our stories, connecting our experiences, and learning from one another. We're all on different paths, but we're united by the celestial wonders that shape our lives. The beauty of astrology lies in its ability to reveal the hidden treasures within ourselves and the world around us. Whether it's diving into birth charts, exploring the different astrological houses, or pondering the mystical aspects of retrogrades, I am captivated by it all. 🌌

But let's be real - astrology isn't just about diving deep into starry skies and planetary placements (although that's pretty awesome). It's also about creating an amazing community where we can freely discuss, debate, and explore all things celestial. From debunking stereotypes to deciphering cosmic secrets, there's a whole universe of experiences waiting to be shared.

So, if you're reading this and you've been through your own spiritual awakening or rebirth, or if you're simply an astrology aficionado looking for a friendly place to connect with others who share your passion, consider this thread your cosmic hangout. Let's chat and embark on this incredible journey, hand in hand, illuminating the night sky with our collective wisdom.

I can't wait to meet each and every one of you amazing souls out there. Don't be shy! Introduce yourself, share your experiences, ask your burning astrological questions – let's make this space a vibrant constellation of ideas and connections! Remember, we're all stardust, living out our unique cosmic dances. Let's twirl and swirl together on this incredible voyage of self-discovery and celestial exploration! Shining bright and ready to connect,
Indy

You have a scorpio first house and you're a libra rising. I thought the ascendant is always in the first house which makes you scorpio rising, i'm pretty sure.

The ascendant is the cusp of the first house. The rising sign is the sign the ascendant is in. Usually, part of the second sign is also in the first house. So @sashafasha44 has Libra rising and part of Scorpio, the part that has those planets in it, in the first house.

Further discussion of her chart, or anyone's, should take place elsewhere. Threads on the Introduce Yourself board are to focus on introducing and welcoming the OP.
