Is it possible to have a second “birth”?
The reason I ask is because I have had a very abusive childhood, and for a long time after.
When I reached my 30s, I decided to change my name, and shed my previous experiences. I went through the motions to change my name, and when I stood in front of the judge, and swore to my new name – I felt very new afterwards.
I remember the time of this feeling, which was just after I swore in. If I had to describe the feeling, it was very much like freedom and fresh air. It felt sweet and new, as though I had been born a new person.
If I made a chart of this moment, can it be considered a second birth?
