Hi there,

I've been reading you for a couple of months and here's my first question:
Will I ever be successful in singing? By successful I mean get signed, make a living, give up my day job and sing full-time, become professional.

I love to sing, perform, write music I basically love everything about music but mainly I want to be a singer/performer. I know I dream big :D

Sorry for my English, I'm not a native speaker. But I can understand everything you say, including astrology terms.

Thank you for your answers!

Your question would be suitable for a horary question, IF you follow the basic rules
http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/faq.php?faq=horary#faq_horary_astrology_boards

Taurean are well renowned for having good voices as venus rules taurus and the throat....
You have calculated your chart using the default on astro.com of placidus and I use Equal House system and am a modern astrologer. Lots of people that come into Astrology get their free charts calculated at www.astro.com and the default ‘house system’ used is Placidus and think that’s just the norm and all that there is……..BUT that is just the tip of the iceberg. You can change the default on astro.com in Extended Chart selection to Equal house and a few more.

Throughout the forums but mainly in natal astrology there are two main branches Placidus (unequal size houses) v Equal House (whereby each house is same size) but lots more……. For more information on these go here.

It's only with study and research will you be able to assess where your planets are deposited and in which houses... thus see which 'glove fits'

Venus is placed in 6th house of health and work and co-workers, venus rules your MC but is opp saturn suggesting much hard work. Saturn is retrograde (going backwards) and placed in 12th house. This suggests that you poss felt unloved from childhood and may always feel that you 'give out' twice as much love as that you receive back. Saturn in 12th and retro suggests father was lacking, missing or ineffectual during childhood and didn't provide structure or boundaries...

Uranus conj Asc shows a rebellious personality and someone who wants to be unique even though bit eccentrice. Uranus is also a singleton ie; only planet in fire which your chart lacks this element.,

Singleton planets
“If a planet happens to be the only one in an element, quality, or house type, that planet is a Singleton and it can funnel all of the “energy” of the horoscope. This planet is often the most important one in the horoscope. In other words, if you just interpret the position of this one planet by sign, house, and aspect, you will get to the “heart of the horoscope”. The effect is the same as if that planet were the only one on one side of the chart.”

(There is a book out by Shirley Lyons Meier, "Elemental Voids, More than Meets the Eye", which gives a good discussion of missing elements.) The Inferior Function can be a source of great motivation and creative expression.

Career options are assessed by MC any planets conjunct, where the ruler of MC is placed, it’s aspects, then 2nd house ‘how you earn your money’ and planets there, ruler of cusp and where it’s placed, then 6th house of ‘type of work you do’ any planets there and how they are aspected.

Researching rulers of houses will help you understand more where I joining the dots so to speak

http://www.skyviewzone.com/astrology/houserulerships.htm

Moon in 10th wide orb conj MC sows lots of changes and restlessness in career, 2nd house Cappi/Saturn placed in 12th suggests working behind the scenes. Taurus rules 6th and placed in 6th venus. So all Venusian, libra/taurean vocations. Beuaticians, diplomacy

Sun is 11' conj 8th house cusp and is considered more effective in 8th house matters, like sex :biggrin:joint resources, inheritances, insurances, goods of the deceased etc.

http://www.skyviewzone.com/astrology/houserulerships.htm
All Saggi are extrovert, like travel, tourism, the law, legal work, long distance travel, philosphy
http://www.skyscript.co.uk/temples/h9.html

having Cappi/saturn rule 2nd house shows you don't like taking risks and work hard to get where you want to go, but also shows where you lack confidence to. Pluto in 11th can be bit of loner, but square mercury suggests great analytical ability and 'verbal lacerations' when needed

Moon is Apex for T Square, square mars = bossy mother and you becoming emotionally assertive. Sun squ moon is divorced or divided parents. Moon square neptune is confusion, illusions connected to mother. I have the opposition and my mother was emotionally unavailable to me --

Neptune in Squareto Midheaven
"Without a firm sense of who you are and where you're headed, you may be subject to more than your share of downtime career-wise. You may find yourself a target for deceptive career schemes and false promises. Some of this can be avoided by getting into some serious career counseling and making whatever effort necessary to become knowledgeable in your chosen field. Your biggest challenge may be to avoid getting sidetracked by doubts about your choices. You don't have to compromise your search for your ideal life's work."
http://www.skyviewzone.com/astrology/houserulerships.htm#hr11

Mars in Square to Midheaven
"It's hard for others to pull you down because you have an innate understanding of how to draw on pure instinctive survival skills. You respect authority figures, but you're not afraid of speaking up around them when you feel it's called for. At these times you'll often forego the gentle art of diplomacy and you'll have a good deal of conflict to contend with after you've aroused the combative side of others. A career in the military, professional athletics, marketing, or in supervisory positions is supported. Choose a career that allows you to draw on your natural ability to lead, compete and meet new challenges."

Hope this helps

Lixxystar, you should ask yourself the following questions:

Do I have musical sensibility?.

Do I have a good voice?. (This can be relative).

And most importantly:

Do I have the determination to succeed in spite all obstacles?.

If the answer to those questions is yes, you don't need to ask an astrologer to know you will succeed. Anyway, it would be a good idea to check the dignities of Venus, the planet most related to singing.

Wow, your chart definitely indicates you are talented. Venus is in Taurus, in the 5th house, with Libra ruling your MC, so your Venus is highlighted here, and could indicate your job will be nothing like a typical job, but something you enjoy and really love, a hobby. It could be singing, especially with Venus sextile Mercury here in Cancer and Moon nearly conjunct your MC here.

I would want to see your chart in Equal House, if you don't mind. :)

Claire, venus would be in 6th.

It's always worth posting your natal, progressions AND transits, found in Extended chart selection on astro. I reduce the orb ratio to 80%

astrologer50,
Yes, I had a difficult relationship with my mother. And my father left us when I was 10 and she had the only power in my upbringing. My mother was very abusive and bossy while I grew up. It was really painful. Even as an adult I sometimes afraid of her.
I also know that I'm oversensitive.

Well, I know nothing about equal house system. So all of these things I've read about my planets in the houses are useless?

I attached my chart in equal house, transit and progressed with the orb ratio 80%. And transit and progressed charts should be in equal too?

Why do you feel astrology is useless? if that's how you feel why you here asking questions?

My way of helping newcomers is for them to do more research and learning rather than just ‘drop the answer in your lap’ and not necessarily to provide professional readings and forecast future events. If you are truly interested in astrology, I and most others here will help you…..

Having a Sagittarius MC which is the sign of the teacher and I do indeed teach astrology. This forum is a wonderful community of all mixed levels and types of astrologers. So I may provide links to encourage you in the hope that if you are sincerely interested enough you will do the research and enlighten yourself….

your prog Uranus has now retrograded to conjunct Ascendant. This suggests you want to be unique individual and are 'more willing' to take risks be adventureous and act more rebellious in an attempt to be noticed and unique ---

Your natal chart is like a photograph as unique as your fingerprint, BUT the 10planets in the sky have not stayed where they were in your natal chart, they have all moved. Predictive astrology is mostly maths where those 10planets are now and the mathematical aspects they make to your natal charts ie: 180'=opposition, 90'=square, 60'=sextile and 120'=trine.

So your personality, grows, develops, changes, matures as we get older, this is reflected by your sun sign changing from it's natal position to the next sign along, so does your Asc and MC sign change. In fact from sun to mars especially are important, as the outer planets really don't move much, using a 'day for a year' secondary progressions.

What's the difference between Transits and Progressions?
“Transits are the planets currently orbiting in the sky and the relationships they form to each other and additionally, to your chart. Transits happen for everyone. They're important and effect you personally when they contact a planet or point in your chart. Transits represent outside energy, things happening outside yourself. They describe external events and your responses to them. Progressions, however, move very slowly and are a natural progression of your original birth chart. The events and emotions they describe are part of you, deeply ingrained in your psyche, internal, and psychological. And as they form aspects, these inner feelings start to become more important and central to your life”

http://www.artcharts.com/learn_astrology/progressed.html

If you want to research more into Secondary progressions try here
http://cafeastrology.com/secondaryprogressions.html

http://www.khaldea.com/rudhyar/astroarticles/progressionsinastrology.php
http://www.aquamoonlight.co.uk/progressions.html
http://astrolmass.com/progressions.htm

The most important of progressed planets is of course, sun & moon and then upto mars, as the outer planets hardly move by progression. Now like with transits, solar arcs --- it's what these progressed planets are doing NOW by mathematical aspect to your natal planets and Angles that is ultimately important.

Also I would take this opportunity to mention there is a ‘plethora’ of information in every forum top, called 'stickys' which cover, explain in great depth what each forum is all about, plus we have an Education forum for further research..

Noticeably you have a few retrograde planets starting with Jupiter through to pluto-

Pluto retrograde in scorpio above

Your progressed venus in gemini has now (for past 2years or so) gone into 7th house of marriage. Have you found yourself thinking and wanting more special one to one relationship?

Your Progressed Moon has Just changed signs into Virgo but still in 9th house in approx 13months will conj your 10th house cusp and become Angular (more visible and noticeable)

Your Progressed Sun at 28' Cancer still has two years left into Cancer, before changing to Leo for next 30years --but still has 15more years progressing through 8th house and 8th house matters.
http://www.skyscript.co.uk/temples/h8.html

Transiting Saturn is fast approaching your natal moon in Libra and this may well be a time when you could be short of money, emotionall withdrawing
"Saturn is cooling your emotions now. Most people have a hard time with this and either don't feel very good, or don't feel much at all. Your relationships with women are likely to feel unsupportive. You may feel like you have to earn their support or their love. Others may make you feel guilty somehow and as a result, you may isolate yourself. Very often you will feel lonely, depressed and unable to cope with the demands of daily life. It can also make you more emotionally independent. Sometimes this takes the form of becoming homeless, losing a close relationship, or relocating to an unfamiliar environment."

I meant placidus house system is not that true/ancient as equal house system. I kinda felt that I wasted my time reading my chart in placidus though it really fitted me. I'm def. interested in astrology! Sorry for confusing you.

If you are truly interested in astrology, I and most others here will help you…..
Thank you!

I'm def feeling it. I'm deeply in love since Dec, 2009 but he has somebody... He doesn't know that I'm in love with him. Do you think it's an unrequited love or I'm just obsessed? Or does he feel the same?
Once an astrologer told me that my husband would be a foreigner. Is it true?

Hi-
If your natal chart makes sense to YOU in Placidus, the use Placidus. Please don't feel obligated to adopt the house system preferred by those looking at your thread. If the data is provided, they can look at in in the house system they prefer by running up the chart themselves. This forum does not advocate use of one house system in preference to another.
Astrologer50: What is being asked is more easily answered by a study of the transits to natal than by horary-Horary only deals with the short term and our friend is asking about long term success, as would be indicated by h10 as mod cleo has pointed out.

You have Sag rising so Jupiter is ruling your physical being.Uranus right on the ascendant is sextile to Jupiter in your second house of self worth and material possessions.
Having Uranus there does indicate you are a creative and original person.Unusual perhaps.
Your tenth, your vocational success house, is ruled by venus and venus is in h5-what you enjoy doing, conjunct the north node, which bodes well in terms of success.
Venus rules over music and rules your fifth. It rules the throat as well.
Venus however is opposite to Saturn and square to Jupiter-a warning that your path will not be smooth sailing, with many Saturnian lessons to be learned along the way-especially in regard to money. While Venus is strong in Taurus, it is weakened by that Saturn opposition so you will need to stay very committed if you decide to go down the singing road. Venus's square to Jupiter too warns against expecting too much too soon.
Your moon is also in Libra, so relating back to venus as well. Your moon though is square Neptune in your first, suggesting you may be easily led or disallusioned.Having Neptune in h1 can be a good thing and a bad thing. It can create mental confusion and also give you inspiration. Your moon is actually in h9-and this is your house of higher education, travel, legal matters, spiritual matters, astrology...dreams.
You have 2 T-squares in your chart-the moon is the apex of one (going to Neptune and the sun) and the other has jupiter as its apex, with a square to Saturn and Venus.
T-squares are harsh aspects and often indicate the person will face a lot of tough challenges.
With your sun /Mars conjunct in h7, in cancer, you may find it hard to control your emotions at times.
As h7 rules other people in your life, you may find that you gain from others as h7 is ruled by Mercury and Mercury is in h8-the house of other peoples money and resources. Your mercury is trine to Saturn-probably your most helpful aspect.
With Uranus and Jupiter so closely sextile, I'm sure luck will favour you from time to time.
Are you training with your singing? Singing every day? Immersing yourself in it? Actively seeking opportunities to perform?
Having Saturn in scorpio in h11 can bring loyal friends who can help you..It's a strong placement and can give you the staying power you would need to pursue a singing career.
Wishing you luck!
Cheers
Lilly

That's an 'assumption' cos I assumed she wanted more immediate answers, that's why I suggested horary may help. Only OP can answer this --:whistling:

I have Saturn in 11th and older friends are quite possible but few friends is true, but when you do have trusted friends that relationships usually lasts --

I'm deeply in love since Dec, 2009 but he has somebody... He doesn't know that I'm in love with him. Do you think it's an unrequited love or I'm just obsessed? Or does he feel the same?
Once an astrologer told me that my husband would be a foreigner. Is it true?
Now THIS would be best answers by horary chart

The idea of a foreigner - can tell you where someone was looking and that was Sagittarius Asc, but if you are female, we would look at your sun & mars and 7th house and hey their they are sun/mars and this is what makes you feel whole, being in a relationship...
