Some indications could be afflicted lights (sun and moon), ascendant, sun and/or moon related to certain fixed stars and nebulae.

eyes are connected with the both lights in any chart- moon and sun. If one of these lights are in challenging aspect (opposition) -for instance with saturn, eye-sight can be reduced. If saturn is ruler ot 8th house, what is genetic inheritance- you inherited from somone in your family and are born with it.
Sun and Moon rule eyesight, with the Sun taking the right eye, and the Moon the left eye, though in the case of disease, often both eyes are affected. For the purpose of ascertaining particulars certain configurations significant of injury or sickness have been specially observed, by means of the events which generally accompany certain positions of the stars.
For blindness in one eye is brought about when the Moon by itself is upon the angles that cause injury, namely the Ascendant and the Descendant (particularly the latter), or is new moon or full, or in another aspect that bears relation to the Sun, while applying to one of the star clusters that cause blindness, as for example the Pleiades of Taurus, the Beehive Cluster, the Coma Star Cluster, the sting of the Scorpion, the eye of Sagittarius, the spine of Capricorn, or the water of Aquarius; or if the Moon is moving towards one of the maleficent planets, Saturn or Mars, or if these maleficent planets are at the Ascendant and the Moon is applying to them by quartile or opposition while decreasing; or if the maleficent planets are pre-ascending the Sun so that they are morning rising, while being themselves angular; or if the Sun is afflicted by the maleficent planets in the pre-ascension of the Descendant (the 6th place). But if the maleficent planets are in aspect with both luminaries at once, either in the same place or in opposition, morning stars with respect to the Sun or evening stars with respect to the Moon, they affect both eyes. Mars brings about blindness from a blow, thrust, iron, or burning, through public places and felonious attacks in conjunction with Mercury, and Saturn causes it with glaucoma, cataract, degeneration, and the like. The effects of conjunctions are more likely to be congenital than the quartiles and oppositions.
