Personally I think the relationship between Sun/Mars plays a big role here. Even if involving earth or water. Saturn for the discipline needed to function as a team.

Likely. Sports discussion isn't my forte, I'd rather just go involve myself. Street hockey. You'll find a wide array of football players (and other sports) with sun's and Mars in everything. It's the relationship of the overall charts that lead there.
Gem would be primo for being quick witted on that field though.

When you live it, there's nothing wrong, people don't easily accept they're own flaws. Besides, to be active in anything physical like sports, being a warrior is a plus.
