1st House Neptune Transits

Does anyone have any experience with a 1st house Neptune transit? It lasts quite a long time and probably has a significant impact on everyone with the rising sign it's in...

Hi,
As there is no one alive who has previously experienced Neptune in Pisces crossing Ascendant and it has not yet fully made its entrance into the sign, you may have to wait a while before you get any replies.

Those with Aquarius rising may have undergone a personality change, according to the co-rulership of Neptune of 1st house, or ruler 2nd or 3rd houses, according to which house system is preferred. They may have had 'to lose who they are' and/or undergo unexpected personal losses, mental confusion, in order to find themselves (again). They may have experienced the personal sacrifices that Neptune asks in order to find that which is significantly more important on a non-material level. With Aquarius it is surely losing/finding the 'spirit of independence' and/or 'community spirit', to see the bigger picture?

Such happened with my son, but he is Aquarius rising with Sun, Mercury and NN in the 1st house, with Neptune conjunct Sag. MC forming the apex of a kite figure in his chart. Neptune's position as co-ruler his 1st house (using Placidus system, Pisces intercepted) therefore poses a personally relevant theme in his life.

After 12+ years (Neptune's transit of a sign) living with a 'failure complex', 'brainwashing', 'deceived' in/and a 'dissolved' marriage, acute 'sink or swim' financial difficulties, he finally found 'faith in himself' again and reached the potential gift which Neptune promises. He begins his 'new' career as a qualified, specialised in industrial first aid instructor (Saturn Taurus in 3rd house opp. Neptune) this week.

So far his experience with Neptune has been on a mundane level, although he has positive feelings about the sensory abilities many people possess. He still has the Uranus opposition to go through. Who knows what Neptune will signify for him in the future?:joyful:

yep, I've had this being 1' Aquarius rising 1998

Those with Aquarius rising may have undergone a personality change,[not really personality is more affected by transits to personal planets like sun/moon/mercury/venus] according to the co-rulership of Neptune of 1st house, or ruler 2nd or 3rd houses, according to which house system is preferred. They may have had 'to lose who they are'[no never did that!] and/or undergo unexpected personal losses, mental confusion, in order to find themselves (again). They may have experienced the personal sacrifices[like what? I don't recall making ANY sacrifices for anynone] that Neptune asks in order to find that which is significantly more important on a non-material level.[not for me what was significantly important was much more basic, mundane] With Aquarius it is surely losing/finding the 'spirit of independence' and/or 'community spirit', to see the bigger picture?
[Nope, didn't affect me like this at all. What I would say was, the coming out of 12th of *secrets* Noel Tyl calls this aspect *wipeout* well it did with all family matters contacts/ issues. I found out my father's Will and how family had conspired to 'leave me out in the cold' as it's 12th house of secrets you could never predict or even see it coming. I also changed my hair colour for a few months, as Asc is outer physical body/mode of expressions...]

Neptune's position as co-ruler his 1st house (using Placidus system, Pisces intercepted) therefore poses a personally relevant theme in his life. [well obviously he had years of neptune's influences]

I didn't experience, mental confusion, I didn't 'lose myself' either

Good for you. You must have a good relationship with Neptune. Maybe, considering the 10500 posts you have submitted 'voluntarily' and 'free of charge' to this forum, you are not yet personally aware to have been
touched by the addictive egolessness within its nature.

Seeing the change that has occured within those who have had major transits over the Ascendant (including myself), I cannot agree with you.

Maybe Neptune is more vague to comprehend and difficult to grasp. Yet it can make the impossible possible and vice versa, through the very nature of its intangible and transitional effect within, or the release from, what we term mundane existence.

Obviously, there's so much one can say about Neptune's transit through the first house. Just look at the length of its keyword list!. Yet everything depends upon how one experiences it during (part of) life through its natal position, house and aspects, and the aspects made to the natal during its transit. Anything anyone writes will be but a peek beneath the transparency of its veil.

Actually, fris Neptune is opp to sun/moon, which as psychic awareness, sensitivity, as well as much of the negatives, like no clear self in briefly in teenage years, illusions confusions around mother. she was physically there but emotionally unavailable. quite a few times I thought I must have been adopted as I seemed to have so little in common with family...

I'm just currently going through one. I'm 14 and it lasts for 14 years.

I was looking it up on google and then this thread came up.

It's been a very confusing time. I seem to be spending the days dreaming and not really working. :pouty:

Had my Asc transited by Neptune conjunction couple of years ago, as my Asc is Aquarius. The transit through the first house itself is not such a big thing. In my case it lasts for over 28 years ... The important part is the passage through the Asc, you going to feel that a lot.

Neptune is the planet of confusion and so moments of embarasment can occur. In conjunction to Asc there is a opposition to Dsc. Youre personal image, the way you are percieved by others will go through a identity test. Avoid situations where you are covered or your identity is unclear or hidden. Such situations can lead to misunderstandings, embarasment and in turn even depresions. Avoid unclear relationships as well. With Neptune you may feel that unclearity about certain things is helping you and you support it. But that is actually the way this aspect becomes a hard aspect.

I have Pisces Rising (my chart link in my sig below) at *roughly* 2' (it's actually 1.58 1/2). So Pisces has been crossing my ascendant and will, of course, transit my first house. I had not (until the last few days) noticed anything all that specific. In the past, when planets when over my ascendant, sometimes something quite concrete occurred. The first time Saturn crossed it (Saturn in my natal chart was rising at my birth, conj. ascendant at 29.5' Aquarius), I broke my ankle. Er, I really had to laugh: Saturn, bone, Pisces, ankles. When Uranus was very close to my ascendant on one of the passes, I decided to dye my hair red. Naturally, my hair is black, back I'm also prematurely gray, and as a young girl, always loved red hair. But black hair can't be dyed without bleach, and I was unwilling to do that ... so when it got gray enough, I finally said, "What the hell!" So I went red for about 5-6 years. :) It was a fun change (and ironically, a lot of people who'd never seen my original haircolor actually thought it WAS red; skintone match, I guess).

Anyway, I mention those as I just had a rather funny manifestation of Neptune on the ascendant. But I think I'll post about this separately, so look for that thread.

As a couple other folks alluded to, it's really when a planet hits the angles that more obvious things occur. Planets going through houses represent fairly long-term changes. Gradual things.

(I will admit, I also have Chiron in my first house, and I'm somewhat curious what will happen when Neptune hits it, especially as Chiron opposes one of the most powerful aspects in my chart ... a near-exact Mercury-Pluto conjunction in Virgo, with Uranus a few more degrees out, making a stellum ... all sextiling Neptune in the 9th in Scorpio. What that will trigger ... who knows.)

I'm also an Aquarius rising and Neptune is transiting my first house, whoa what a whirlwind. I'm changing careers and and have been confused and lied to! The biggest bunch of bull **** I was lied to for over a year by a man I truly loved. As for myself and who I am, I have not been able to get out of some problems caused by the illusion. So much illusion! Anyway, That's all I can say. I've been changing a lot...and I can't wait for Neptune to leave my first house.

I find that interesting that you've changed careers while Neptune went over your Asc. If you've got Aquarius rising, that should put Pisces on your second house (assuming it's not intercepted), which can govern how we make a living. In my case, Pisces is rising, so Neptune rules my public presentation and persona.

I have it right now but as it does not make any aspects to planets in the natal chart there is little effect. Planets have to be triggered off with transits and then a natal echo as well will give signifance.
