What do you think are the evolutionary patterns of Saturn square the Sun? I've been researching this transit but haven't found much about it online.

As with any aspect - generalisation is tempting fun, but unreliable

because
Saturn may be in any one of twelve signs
and
Sun may be in any one of twelve signs

delineation is dependent on rulership
as well as

other planets aspecting either/or/both Sun and/or Saturn

However, here are some general observations.

Saturn can bring certain restrictions. He will show you (and others) your shortcomings. Some times you will feel that significant persons of authority try to blame you, or restrict your creativity, freedom, etc. Remember, Saturn eliminates what is not strong or valid enough. When this period is over you'll come up stronger and wiser.
