Death Day Charts?

I had a solid friend of mine die at the age of seventeen on May 13, 2010. Lately I've been trying to get the time of his birth from his mom so I could work with his natal because I find it very meditative. We celebrated what would be he 19th birthday two days ago on the 15th of August. What I was wondering is if there was any significance to studying the death day charts of a particular person. Seeing as your natal chart is one of the most definitive of you as a person, wouldn't your death chart hold just as much power in explaning your character. I'm not talking so much about transits, but rather a second chart to use to study a person.

I believe that looking at transits for the day and the time preceding may reveal something about conditions that may cause death, but I'm not sure if anything else could be derived from it.

Interesting question though.

P.S. I love that Castaneda quote in your signature.

personally I would say no. there can be lots of indicators, environmental conditions, health conditions etc.

May I suggest you read the 'welcome to the world of astrology’ and other ---sticky' at the top of this forum? It has some great explanations, links etc. At the top of every forum there are lots of ‘stickys’ which explain matters in that forum, along with guidelines & tips

There is a 'plethora' of information on AW, espec in the 'stickys' at the top of every forum, our Education forum and Recommendations forum to. Plus we have a good search feature,[but not foolproof obviously, so try here first] bit like google using keywords – initially select advanced and try just selecting 'titles' rather than posts or you'll get too many threads. If this doesn’t get results then try google

This is something I've wondered about several times but I haven't found any reference to it in any book or heard anybody mention anything about it. It seems to me that as the exact time that you enter this world has such an important meaning for your existence, the exact time you leave must have a meaning as well and maybe by combining, comparing and studying the birth and death chart you could reach some interesting conclusions regarding the person in question.

Any other opinions on the issue?
Provided one has a reliable time of death
THEN
A 'Death Day' chart
is a transit chart
viewed similarly as any other transit chart.

i.e. Study the 'Death Day' chart in tandem with
Natal Chart
Solar Return
Yearly Profection
Monthly Profection
Daily Profection
Firdaria
Time Lords
Lunar Return for that month
and so on and so forth

The chart won't tell you anything. We choose multiple times in our lives in which we can leave this planet, but we don't always act on them. If you studied my transits from when I was in my early 20s, you'd have sworn ten times I would have died during that time. I nearly did, on at least five or six occasions. But my higher self decided the time wasn't right and here I am. As a soul and a person, you still have free will. The transits at death time will only tell you what was going on in that person's life at that time, and they may have absolutely nothing to do with their death.
