I know that it is not necessary for planets to have a connection to a chart angle for it's supposed attributes to be recognized in a person but it does seem that when they are such recognition is more likely for those connections to be seen to play out.

That is why this is one of the speculative charts for John Wayne that may be close to correct after his accomplishments are considered. Neptune for his career in make believe and his addiction to tobacco and to a lesser extent alcohol. Jupiter for his success in his career and connected to Uranus and Neptune his continuity when others careers flagged (the unusualness). The Moon sextile the MC and Uranus and trine the IC with Jupiter and Neptune (lasting connection with the public. Pluto sextile the Asc. his record setting career and "it" (Pluto sets on his Sun/Jupiter midpoint). The foreground Mars for his legitimate two fisted reputation ( see story about dealing with noise from a Frank Sinatra party in Las Vegas).

Some others you may want to explore are mentioned in the Wayne data below. John Wayne stands head and shoulders above all the rest.

John Wayne: Box-Office Champion
February 15, 2006 by EmanuelLevy

"Based on annual polls, Variety named him the box-office champion of all time. Indeed, Wayne has been the only movie star with 32 pictures on the Variety compilation of all-time money-grossers."

"Wayne’s box-office popularity becomes more dramatic when compared with other stars of his generation. Contrasted with Wayne’s thirty all-time grossers, Jimmy Stewart and Cary Grant had each twelve, Henry Fonda nine, Spencer Tracy eight, Clark Gable seven, Gary Cooper six, Humphrey Bogart and James Cagney each three, Alan Ladd and Robert Taylor each two, and Tyrone Power only one."

"With the exception of one year, l958, the lowest ebb in his career, . . . , Wayne was on the poll for twenty-five consecutive years."

"Wayne was among the top ten seven years longer than Gary Cooper (eighteen years) and nine years longer than Clark Gable (sixteen years), the two previous champions."

"The average durability of American players, measured by the number of years they were box-office champions, has been five for male and three for female stars."

"Of the current stars, only three have been on the poll for over a decade: Clint Eastwood eighteen years, Paul Newman thirteen, and Burt Reynold twelve. Newman’s last appearance on the list was in l982 (The Verdict), which means that the only serious contenders to Wayne’s crown as the world’s box-office champions are Eastwood and Reynolds, assuming they continue to make popular films for another decade, which is doubtful."

"Wayne’s durability as a box-office champion spanned a generation, from l949 to l974, regardless of changes in the political, social, and cultural context of the times."

"In November 2003 he once again commanded a top-ten spot in the annual Harris Poll asking Americans to name their favorite movie star. No other deceased star has achieved such ranking since Harris began asking the question in 1993. In a 2001 Gallup Poll, Americans selected Wayne as their favorite movie star of all time. He has been in the top-ten of the Harris poll each and every year it has come out, and usually in the top three. He is the only deceased actor to ever appear in this poll."

"His image was so far-reaching that when Emperor Hirohito visited America in 1975, he asked to meet the veteran star."

"Ranked #11 in the 100 Most Influential People in the History of the Movies, according to the authors of the Film 100 Web site."

"The Shootist (1976) is widely considered the best final film by any major star, rivaled only by Clark Gable's role in The Misfits (1961) and Henry Fonda's role in On Golden Pond (1981)."

"He appeared in at least one film for every year from 1926-76, a record of 51 consecutive years." (NOTE: MAYBE NOT IN 1958.)
