A real time twin needs to be born within a minute or two of each other in the same exact "place."
Of course identical twins in the same family are time twins.
Fraternal twins in the same family can be born up to 10 minutes apart and therefore not technically time twins, tho they are twins.
I have fraternal twins. There are a lot of similarities in their lives, but because they are not idential they have slightly different genetics. They never really looked alike - different bone structure.....different hair - color and curliness...but the events in their lives....relationships, moving, job issues....often similar.
HOWEVER; Twin A has an A type personality and got an advanced degree and Twin B did not. Twin A is much more assertive and ambitious than twin B. But Twin B had very bad Bronchial Asthma as a child and had to be medicated a lot. That took the edge off her enthusiasm. But they are both good, kind, loving girls - responsible and ethical.
But like the therapist said who saw them when they were 7 (because they were fighting a lot) they 'will try to not be alike'. They want to be individuals. And they are.
