Yod/s and the position - Revealing ?

Hi

So I can see in my chart that I have one yod. I think there may be two, although I'm not sure, and I could be wrong. There is diefinitely one though, poiting to the sun in taurus. Withe the feet being in 5th and third I'm thinking that there is something to do with career and expression. This is purely guessing, and I would really like to hear anyone's thoughts on if I have it right. I have read some sites about yods, but they seem to be quite tricky to grasp and interpret. Can anyone help?

Thanks.

...I have one yod...(but) think there may be two, although I'm not sure.
Most astrologer's disregard Chiron in Yod formations, because it is an asteroid rather than a planet......But if you decide to use it (as I do), then there is a second Yod consisting of a Moon/Chiron sextile with Pluto as the focal/apex planet.

My own approach would be to regard the Sun/Chiron mid-point as the apex of your Pluto/Neptune Yod and as a sextile contact in the Moon/Pluto Yod...making the Pluto+Sun/Chiron qcx common to both......Thus, forming a "bathtub" configuration.

We can only offer guidance on "how to attempt an interpretation yourself", Badonkadonk......because (as with all natal astrology) only the chart owner can know (from experience) which of the many and very diverse planet/sign/house keywords actually apply to the chart......So to "get it right", you have to do it yourself (or have a one-to-one consultation with a competent astrologer).

With that in mind, these are the steps involved in interpretating your bathtub configuration :-

First interpret the meaning of the two yods......Pluto in Libra/3rd+Sun/Chiron in Taurus/10th+Neptune in Sagittarius/5th......and Pluto in Libra/3rd+Sun/Chiron in Taurus 10th+Moon in Pisces/8th.

Next, link the two yods via their common qcx......Struggling (qcx) to balance Pluto in Libra/5th with Sun/Chiron in Taurus/10th.

Then, consider how the bathtub characteristics might apply to you......The qcx/open top relates to Pluto+Sun/Chiron and faces the Asc (self)...and the following linked comment may help you with this :-

Finally, attempt a synthesis of these interpretations......

[I realise this will seem daunting to you Badonkadonk, but it's not too difficult if you take it one step at a time (eg. Pluto in Libra/3rd means??) and you will learn a great deal about these yods from first attempting the interpretation yourself.....then asking us to comment on your analysis+conclusions]

I see 2 Yods one with sun as Apex and then Pluto as Apex

My advice would be to break them down into simple quincunxs and always remember the apex planet when triggered by a progression, solar arc or transits will 'set off' this finger of God aspect.Quite often these yods are felt as internal health strains, but you may always feel that you will be searching for the answers to life problems. There are plenty of threads on AW if you use the search feature, bit like google using keywords. A recent one suggests there are also different types of yods and qualities within them, which my be of interest.

sun quincunx pluto can suffer from constant unrest and tension without knowing why. Often gives lots of ambition and a sfrong desire to be in control at all costs. Driven by some invisible insecurity can push themselves to far and attempts are manipulating and lust for power here. You may have a desire to grow through confrontations....

If you go to the main AW homepage, go down to bottom left and find the search box, put in any natal aspect, such as this Neptune square MC -- I am limited to quoting just 100words (forum rules) but you can click on link to read the rest

:sun: quincunx :neptune:
"There is an element of self-sacrifice in the way you allow others to intrude in your life. You really believe people who suggest that only you can solve their problems. Because of this martyr quality, you seek the most demanding jobs or human situations in order to test your commitment to service. You are unsure of yourself and are continually trying to find ways to prove your competence. In serving other people's needs, you deplete your own energies."

"inconjunct between the Moon and Pluto indicates a personality that is precariously balanced. You must learn to temper your emotional compulsiveness with objectivity. Perhaps in your formative years you were expected to yield to all your parents' demands; if you defied them, they said you didn't love them. From this experience you may have assumed that to gain anyone's love you must submit to that person. Thus, you overreact to other people's demands. You wrongly believe that those who use you must care for you in some way. But submission to another only earns you contempt."

Lastly you have Uranus quincunx MC and mars quincunx MC
"You need to express your thoughts and feelings, but you often upset the people around you with your words. You seem to enjoy creating a stir every time you say something, but this can get you into quite a bit of trouble with parents, teachers and other authority figures. The underlying principle of this aspect is the need to balance your individual self-expression and manner of communicating with your need to learn and grow under the guidance of older people."
