Of course, though it is only just a theory at the moment. You see, Saturn, the dry, ruthless, lifeless Planet, has a harsh nature by nature. All of us are born with a Saturn and it tries it's hardest to ruin our lives as best it can. For some, however, Saturn is either too strong or too weak. It is my hypothesis that Saturn, when too strong in ones chart, could lead to unwanted misery in both the physical and mental plain of existence for the native. In an attempt to coop with such strong dismay, the native releases their bitterness and inner resentment online - thus becoming a troll.

When Saturn is too weak, the native may lack discipline and thus social liberties - causing them to (unintentionally) become a troll.

Either option is greatly saddening, and it is with my funds and our two great posters work that we can and WILL make a change.

This impeccable piece of logical analysis is what you would expect from the king who was mentored by Plato himself! I am awed by this my good king.

Going back to CapAquaPiss' chart we see a not so good Saturn. Cadent, peregrine and retrograde although he is aspected by his ruler. This seems to have made CapAquaPiss TOO careful in speech so he becomes an adherent of political correctness so as not to be judged. It makes sense too, seeing as how his chart is dominated by human signs, he would do the thing that wouldn't get him ostracized from people/the group.

So Saturn alone is but one component of a chart wide analysis of trolls and their troll tactics.

Dear Dr. Theorist,

There is already a lot of immaturity present with Jupiter conjunct the ascendant in every chart. CAP's rubric of the universal troll might have some credence to it.

It seems Jupiter is quite strong in each chart...hmm. Saturn is also not as strong as it would like to be.

Trolling in action m8s! Our practical knowledge has been increased by this comment and the critiquing thereby.

OK, just a few factoids from your investigative reporter.

There is actually some legitimate research into trolling, otherwise known as on-line harassment. Trolls tend to be:

young-ish: average age is 29.

More likely to be white and male.

They tend to spend over an hour per day on trolling.

They rate highly on psychological traits for narcissism, Machiavellianism (manipulative behaviour,) psychopathy (inability to feel empathy,) and sadism (enjoyment of hurting others.)

Here are some personal stories, with the decision to quit trolling usually explained as "growing up" or realizing that their lives were out of control. Oftentimes they get into trolling out of boredom or enjoying playing the "bad boy."

Tragically, some trolls have autism or ADHD, which might explain their difficulties in empathizing with their targets. Trolls may be very intelligent, but come from troubled backgrounds. They think 9/11 (which happened today 15 years ago), rape or sexual assault, animal, domestic and child abuse, the Holocaust and Nazism, prejudice and discrimination, and stereotypes of the disabled are "funny". What if they encountered bigotry in their lives, would they laugh about their miserable experiences? Trolls get a thrill in others' expense, so I won't doubt this.

4chan's /pol/ (politically incorrect) is its 2nd worst subforum after /b/ which is more popular than mostly work-safe, kid-friendly and inoffensive /a/ (anime, hence the name 4chan). Other meme boards have subforums on dictators, serial killers, sexual fetishes (esp pedophilia or "CP") and the sickest, most violent, pornographic and xenophobic posts and memes on "teh intrnetzwebz".
