Hello from Finland

Hi everybody, I'm here to link with people interested on astrological research and accurate birth chart interpretations. I've been studying and working with astrology for a few decades in Finland, and I guess it's time to link with the global community. My ongoing stydy has to do with singers and stages, focused on opera, and I'd be very happy to receive more birth data especially from opera singers - If you happen to know any, please send a pm.

I've also just started a blog in English language, so far with one post only. Not sure if links are allowed here, probably not at least while I've just joined, must follow the rules strictly in the beginning right?

About myself, I'm 44y and I got into astrology via a hobby when I was some 16y. Soon afterwards, got into it pretty deep after finding it both fun, interesting and useful. I've also studied astronomy, which helped me a lot back then when maps were still drawn by hand. Oh, I'm not missing that effort

My recent findings encouraged me to start to link myself globally with astrologers around the world, and this forum was great to find. It's my first steps in English and I'm happy to be in.

If someone have can tip me about other great forums, thanks in advance! Those should be about research / education, and I'm also keen to spiritual points of view. I'm working with horoscopes too, but that's not why I'm here.

Todays astrologers view theoretical images on computer screens
and are out of touch with the skies on which astrology is based
as well as unable to construct a natal chart without the use of software
So good to meet an astronomer astrologer in cyberspace

Hello and welcome! I'm new too

I find your astrology interests extremely interesting! I've been digging into music analysis as well, trying to understand what sort of aspects or "magic" configurations would help creating the music process.
Been collecting over 60 charts so far, coming from all music genres to avoid a bias... but so far, there's not a single aspect I've found that gets repeated with a higher percentual.
The only planet that really seem to play a key role is Neptune, from my observations, very powerful in most musicians... but what to make of Venus (harmony), Jupiter (the Voice), Mercury (the ears), Uranus (technology) and Pluto (creativity)?

I'd be glad to have your insights about this,

Hi moonris3, nice to hear from you with these quite similar interests. I'll get back to the combinations right after I find my study to have some real value to astrologers, but a valuable discussion might already take place. Within 150 charts of singers I'm going through, there's no single aspect either coming up from the data, but significant combinations seems likely at the moment. Surprisingly, Mercury does not seem to play a role there, but instead Saturn might have something to tell to us. Venus, Moon and Pluto might play a role in statistics as well. I'm pretty interested to get my result out for commenting, thanks for following up. Creativity, which you are obviously working with, is super important. I might check for you if my data has some creative singers (composers, lyrics?) to add to that, if that might help you to advance.

Saturn? This is surely unexpected.. woah, I've never even cared to take it into account for musical purposes. Shame on me, I'll get sure to check for it better now.

I'm interested in the music process itself, yeah, and I was expecting to meet a very "talkative" Neptune out of the charts I analyzed; well, most musicians so far, which vary from blues to hardcore electronic, to Callas, just to not let me miss anything , have definitely strong Neptune. But that's for sure too generic, not accurate. I have to dig it more.

Since you work with opera singers, the control of voice is the key I guess. Perhaps Saturn here plays a role in all the strict rules these artists must incorporate in their process. Definitely interesting... Anyway I've been taught that Jupiter rules over the throat and the voice, would you find it confirmed for opera singers?

I've noticed Uranus(technology and ruling over hands), plays quite strongly in very talented music-makers (as in playing instruments), like Kraftwerk, for example.

Something interesting I've read somewhere in an old thread went like "in the end, since we're talking about music, we have to expect the charts analyzed to create an harmony between all the elements, emotions, creation, inspiration, knowledge, all have to play together."

I'm looking forward to hear of your Saturn ; ) keep up the good work!
