Enūma Anu Enlil
Is a series of tablets detailing observations of the effects of astral phenomena on the atmosphere. The tablets are grouped by themes. For example, in tablet 44 it lists what the effects of thunders with a particular sounds or appearances on the country/state.
Some excerpts:
Tablet 44
Group I
If Adad thunders like a lion the king will flee
If Adad thunders like a wolf, the kings son will be killed
If aded rumbles like the lowering of a bull, the King’s possessions will be lost
If Adad thunders, and lightning which is like fire flashes towards the south, there will be sick people in Akkad, the children will die at the behest of Lamastu.
If Adad thunders, and sankullu lightning, which is like fire, flashes towards the south, there will be sick people in Akkad, and at the behest of Šamaš men and young women will not survive.

Re: Enūma Anu Enlil
When was the last time it thundered?
Did it thunder several times?
What animal did it resemble like the most?
Was it in the clouds, outside of the clouds, or could you not see it?

Re: Enūma Anu Enlil
Hasn't thundered here for quite a while now.
Sunday the forecast is for rain, I'll pay attention if it thunders.

Thank you.
I’ll interpret “King” as the current president or leaders. We shall see what happens

If we were to see it through the perspective of a Babylonian citizen living in Ancient Babylonian then that deity associated with thunder would need to be considered too. In this case, it will be the deity Adad who is said to be the giver of rain, storms, floods and thunder according to the Babylonians. When thunder would come then it would a very important to these people to maintain notice of these cause based on that excerpt you had sent then it would signify for a very big change to come. That change pertaining to the King and the King often more than not represents a form of rulership, higher authority and power. The King in these Ancient societies were often said to have some sort of divine contact to the Gods, so if one of these Gods are destroying the King then that could mean a big change could come to those in power.

Re: Enūma Anu Enlil
I would like to add that Kings can also represent an empire, depending on how powerful that King is to the empire itself or how much they’ve accumulated for that empire. These are just my own thoughts though

Re: Enūma Anu Enlil
Is Adad same as Ba’al?
Rain and storms denote fertility.
Ba’al is also an honorific/title.
Beelzebub seems to carry on the honorific; Beel-zebub is probably a corruption of Ba’al Zebub or Zebul which means lord of the heavenly dwellings (aka the sky back in the day).
These are probably syncretized to Zeus due to the transmission of religion in ancient cultures.

The Steele of Hammurabi shows the God Marduk giving him a set of laws for him to rule, thus glorifying him and Marduk as the supreme leaders of his empire.

"Rain and storms denote fertility. "
Of course relating this to astrology, this would probably be a moon/jupiter contact, which is also why they say it is a lucky bride who weds on a rainy day!

Re: Enūma Anu Enlil
Yes! Ba’al would have been the Canaanite equivalent to the Babylonian deity Adad. However, Ba’al is a deity that fertile the land, his association to rain, lightening, storm and dew and that in turn would have him be in the category for a sky deity as well. Zeus, Ba’al and Adad, but known as Hadad (for his connection to Ba’al) would have a tie to each other in their association to the sky. I believe Ba’al would be the first incarnation of this sort of deity then Adad and Zeus followed afterwards into different adaptations (but similar basis) in different Ancient lands.
Zeus and Hades have a connection as well. There is a title that Hades has that’s called Zeus Khthonios, which means Zeus of the underworld. Another, Profundus Jupiter, and Rusor, “because all things return eventually to the earth” (kindly from Wikipedia). Now, there’s a point to all of this and why I bring him (Hades) up too. Zeus having control of the sky, rain comes down and gets absorbed by the earth (fertilized) and return onto the earth (death). That is a transformation, and a cycle taking place. If we were to tie Zeus, onto deities such as Ba’al and Adad then consider that excerpt once again then that signifies if a change were to come then something new will take its place.

Quote:
"....Aries is by nature watery, with thunder and hail.
From its first degree to the equinox, it is stormy, full of hail,
windy, destructive.
The middle degrees up to 15 degrees are mild and fruitful...."
Professor Mark Riley CSU FREE online pdf https://www.csus.edu/indiv/r/rileymt...s%20entire.pdf
"...Aries is watery in nature, full of thunder, hail.
More particularly, the first parts up to the equipartite [place]
are full of thunderstorms, hail wind and destruction;
the middle parts up to the 15th degree are temperate..."
Schmidt includes this note:
"....Obviously here we are not dealing with a tropical zodiac
in which zero Aries is assigned to the vernal point...."
(Rob Hand follows with more extensive notes on that point.)
Robert Schmidt PROJECT HINDSIGHT http://www.projecthindsight.com/
But, Andrea Gehrz translation from the Ancient Greek is as follows:
"...In regards to the nature of the weather,
the constellation of Aries is watery.
It produces thunder and can at times produce granular like hail.
If we divide the constellation of Aries in half, then
the first half would indicate a more windy and thundery rain,
the kind that can be destructive and deadly.
The middle degree through the last fifteen degrees
are more temperate..."
Gehrz does not mention the equinox
a curious omission and a critical point in the translation.
HOWEVER
Schmidt and Riley leave no doubt
that at least in this part of the text,
a zodiac is indicated that doesn't begin at the spring equinox.

currently SIDEREAL MARS is retrograde PISCES
Sidereal location of Moon may be confirmed BY VISUAL observation
of local skies
there is a minimum difference of 20° up to a maximum of approximately 24°
between TROPICAL AND SIDEREAL MEASUREMENT
ANY planet at 0° OF any TROPICAL SIGN
is SIDEREALLY between approximately 6° - 10°
to a maximum 24° of the PREVIOUS SIGN
dependent on the ayanamsha
MOON travels each SIGN once a month aka "moonth"
IS NOT ALWAYS IN SAME SIGN BOTH TROPICALLY AND SIDEREALLY
because
although Astrologers
– whether Tropical or Sidereal
– are commenting on and making predictions
regarding THE IDENTICAL MOON in the skies
computer generated Tropical Chart differs by DEGREE OCCUPIED BY THE MOON
from Sidereal DEGREE OCCUPIED BY MOON
Sidereal location of Moon is easiily confirmed BY VISUAL observation of local skies

Re: Enūma Anu Enlil
Elena, all JupiterASC is saying:
Mars is in Aries. But if you use the sidereal Zodiac (popular in Indian astrology), it’s actually in Pisces.
And then he quotes someone who just says that planets have different effects in different countries.
People are really wordy when it comes to astrology for some reason
