Re: let's talk about the moon...

I have Moon (Aquarius)-Mercury opposition with Pluto (Scorpio) forming TSquare and also Moon-Venus (Libra-conjunct MC) trine. Lots of Air so people think I'm quite detached but also very intense because of the Pluto interaction but then also quite easy going becasue of the Moon-Venus trine. I'm a conundrum, and probably built for astrology lol.

I wish I had a moon in saggitarius or aquarius, I really like those signs, one is adventurous other is free/rebellious, anything that could take away all the restrictive feelings on my shoulders, I think moon in pisces is better for men, I don't know, I really suffer as a hell, with the square with neptune, you can imagine how many times I have to be prepared to women, 'cause later on, I will just get hurt or dissapointed (included the mother ). My moon in pisces makes a grandtrine, to uranus and venus, but venus squares with saturn and pluto (they are in conjunction), so any planet that conjunct to venus could be very good cause it will make good aspect with the moon and uranus, but with these squares, it's just rough to me. I think I really hate my chart lol

Oh dear! I think it's very important to find the things you like and develop them. The grand water trine is lovely and it's good that there is another aspect that draws out the watery energy.. without any other aspects, it can be a bit like a closed circuit and the energy doesn't go anywhere at all So even though it's hard, it could be very creative and rewarding. The perspective is completely up to you... either work with it, or have it work on you.

Good luck x

Re: let's talk about the moon...

Hi all. Hope you don't mind me landing midway into the discussion.

My understanding of the Moon and it's celestial symbolization comes from a mix of empiricism, spiritualism and universalism.

The Moon beyond all myths, traditional or ancient beliefs, and mystical associations is living proof of how simple and applicable it is for a celestial or heavenly body to have some sort of affect on us human beings here on earth.

The Moon as most of us know, based on scientists' delineations, governs the tides, and holds some magnetic or electromagnetic jurisdiction over the flow of bodies of water.

Being that us humans are made up of about 80 % Water it comes as no surprise that the Moon is a very important element in astrology and even on a more mundane measure.

The Moon, in my individuation, energetically reflects the Mother-Ship by which we respond to all of life's trials, rewards, beginnings, and ends.

The Moon in your own chart can reflect Importance but, on a different level than the Sun. The Sun itself is what, in part helped create us and of course sustains our life here on earth. Without it, we are without our physical life forces.
The Moon is what helped to gather the vital water resource that makes up so much of who we are, and properly disperse it since the beginning of time helping sustain the essentials of our soul.

Many people mistake the Sun for representing everything about a person's character while the Moon holds a larger influence over, one's personality.

So to put it simply the Moon represents your Home Base, your Mother-Ship, your Inner Reactions, your Comforts, your Needs, your Mana Pool, etc.

Re: let's talk about the moon...

On of the things that made me feel so short-changed when I first showed one or two people my chart, was the way the interpretations I received ignored the the Moon in my chart! Perhaps some of these people were embarrassed to talk about my t-square - well, now with the arrival of Chrion and Ceres, there are one or two nice new ones. Wild mood swings and mad, bad and dangerous to know on those dreaded in-between days when not following the prescribed paths to the good neo-platonic safeand narrow.

I do think the Moon can get a bad press sometimes, and (maybe a girly thing) it did put me off astrology a lot. In fact I explored these ideas a little in an article about Sun and Moon on my website, and touched upon it a little on the article I was kindly allowed to post in the education section here, on the Moon's nodes.

For me, it is not simply just all about needs and thumb-sucking reflexes, this is the ability to be openly receptive or 'yin' or whatever to whatever inspiration that hopefully comes to me as a thoroughly **** artist: tranSits to it from that point of view can be very powerful.

You're right !!! I feel like i am in a closed circuit, but when I use my creativity especially with music, I feel so released ! ps: my grand trine aren't all in a water element, just moon (pisces) and venus (cancer) but the uranus is in sagittarius (fire) in critical degree 0.
I am ascendant taurus, so the ruler venus is in cancer and the sun in leo, I think the both gives me some strength to support this moon in pisces. But it still not easy !

Re: let's talk about the moon...

Let me share the experience. Mine is in late Capricorn, which is debilitated, in 11th house, and square to my Sun+Venus+Saturn+Pluto stellium in 8th spanning Libra/Scorpio cusp (with Sun in 1st degree Scorp).

And I have quite a shy, reserved temperament, emotional flow between me and others being somewhat blocked, and many time my body movements and reflexes feel stiff, in robot-like manner. (Good it got better now than when I was a kid). I enjoy being in social circles with friends sharing common interests and idea, and enjoy being my own boss and to build things.

Now that felt quite like a resume isn't it? ;-)

Re: let's talk about the moon...

Hi All,

When I draw my chart in Koch or Placidus, my Aqua Moon falls in the 10th house.

However, when I use whole house or equal, it falls in the 9th house which relates much better to my life and personality.

I feel that my Moon belongs in my 9th house. Could this be due to an inaccurate birth time? If I change my birth time to 20 minutes later (from 7:28 to 7:48), the moon will fall in the 9th house in all charts and nothing significant changes in my chart. But, I am hesitant to do this.

Please advise, thanks!

Personally, I'm a believer in Placidus houses because it fits for me and my friends and I believe in the effects of intercepted signs which you get in unequal house systems. However, there are some competent astrologers here who use equal houses because it makes sense for them, so if it makes sense for you go ahead and use it! Don't try fudging or manipulating your birth time to force a fit! There's also no rule that says that you can't alternate between both systems to figure out your life.

Re: let's talk about the moon...

I think that the moon means different things depending on where it is and how it is aspected. My moon is not my subconscious - it's often right there for everyone to see, both enhancing and conflicting with my ego. I feel like it represents my impulses, but maybe that's just because it's in Aries rather than, say, Scorpio.

My moon is weird. It was the only planet above the horizon when I was born. My moon has the following things going on with it.

Moon Aries, eighth house
Moon sextile Saturn
Moon trine Venus
Moon sesquiquadrate Pluto
Moon square sun
Moon square Mercury
Moon square Mars
Moon square Uranus
Moon square Neptune
Moon square TrueNode
Moon trine Chiron

I do not for the life of me know how that all fits together.

Re: let's talk about the moon...

Thanks Horus,

Great reply. I'm very hesitant to mess with my birth time because I thinks it's accurate between 5 and 10 minutes. I will alternate charts for clarification where needed as you suggested!

Thanks for your reply!
