Natal chart placements that make someone a great strategist.

The kind of person who can plan multiple moves ahead in achieving life goals but in competition tends to win the war against their opponents because of their calculating nature.

My thoughts would be a strong Mercury and a good Saturn.

Mars would be disqualified as it is brash and used more for action than strategy.

Moon would be underrated.

Not sure if the sun sign would mean as much.

Re: Natal chart placements that make someone a great strategist.

A well placed Uranus definitely, especially in good aspect to Jupiter and/or saturn. A bad Uranus is erratic and uncontrollable but a good one is electric and exciting, able to produce ideas that are new and inventive. A good aspect to Jupiter will expand Uranus good ideas and provide opportunities for growth. Good aspect to Saturn adds stablility to an otherwise unpredictable planet. If your chart is ruled by any of the aforementioned planets it would strengthen this too. When it comes to competition a sun-mars will help with perseverance, also sun-saturn if patience is whats needed. With calculating you'd want good mercury of course. I wouldn't totally rule out a well aspected mars (especially mars in Virgo, we are perfectionists in action and always plan ahead).
