I have a friend with NN in 11t. She never liked groups, large groups of friends, she actually never managed to form a close friendship with anyone. Instead she found a bf cos this was more comfortable for her (5th house matters) with whom she can be friendsand avoid bigger crowds.
However, since the South Node acts much as Saturn now her relationship is failing and she is looking around to see she has no friends and finds all possible ways to reconnect with her High school friends much more personally. (North Node)
The NN and SN go in waves throughout ones life until they find the balance between.
