Medical Astrology Astrological diagnoses and other health issues are discussed here. Given that there are so many outer and inner influences on one's health (alimentation, sports, medication, past medical antecedents, state of mind, etc.), an astrological diagnosis is only one of many things to consider when determining your healthiness.

Re: Astrology of fertility and children

I did not get from your post whether you are actively trying to conceive or are you only planning to do so, and why are you focusing only on those years you mentioned?

Anyway, with Saturn ruling fifth in barren Leo some issues are bound to happen. Luckily you have good position of Moon, along with Jupiter and Venus, all of those matter when female fertility is involved. Jupiter especially is very fertile and trining your otherwise barren asc, and incidentally Jupiter is lord of your Part of Children.

Look for the years where Venus or Jupiter activate Lot of children by conjunction, square or oppositions, look for Moon prominent, on angle, also include asteroid Ceres

Part of Children in Sag almost 3 degrees trine Saturn in Leo (not that helpful I assume)

this is actually good, gives promise of children at older age, but it would be better if it aspected it's own lord for example. Sag as a sign is considered more fertile than barren, not super fertile or anything but in your case Jupiter is in good condition, except from that square it receives from Mars. With Mars in twelfth house perhaps some past surgery or chronic illness played some trick on your fertility - could this be the case? or it could simply be some psychological blockage?

2017 Solar Return

Capricorn, Profected Ascendant

SR Saturn(retro) will conjunct my lot of sons
what looks interesting is Venus in Taurus will conjunct my natal Jupiter and SR MC
SR Vertex will conjunct Pluto in Cap in SR 5th
All of these sound promising, especially Pluto in fifth, it can bring children alone without any other pointers from what I've seen

2019 Solar Return

Pisces Profected Ascendant
Do I use traditional ruler Jupiter and Modern ruler Neptune? in any case-

SR Jupiter in Sag (retro) conjunct my part of Sons with 6 degree orb (close
enough orb for conjunction)?
this most definitely sounds promising, look what I wrote abovehere you also have SR moon conjunct natal south node, which is said to bring the child as a soul from previous life, and sr fifth house ruler is conjunct so activating natal fifth house ruler. moon and uranus gives unexpected pregnancies or possibly with medical intervention, pluto on asc, and asc on 5th house cusp are also very good signs, as pluto can give body growth and changes that happen in pregnancy.

but this is very tricky area for those trying to conceive, sometimes even many promising factors won't be conductive for pregnancy, and other times people get pregnant with almost no signs at all. much of it has to do with natal promise, and other factor include divine intervention I believe.
and when this is something you are hoping for with so much heart into it, you are possible setting yourself up for huge disappointment if nothing happens.

Re: Astrology of fertility and children

It's been a while, I want to tell you, but could not find the strength to do so...
Here is my story: Had been trying for a baby for 3,5 years. Had several inseminations, 3 IVFs and finally got pregnant last December.
BUT....Had a hard time during pregnancy, and finally gave birth premature, when I was due my 30th week of pregnancy. Thank GOD my baby is finally safe, at home with us.
Unfortunately I lost my uterus, as a result of bleeding during c-section.
That means I won't be able to carry another baby.... Our dream of a big family won't come truth... We still have some thoughts to move on and try to find a surrogate mother to carry our next baby! Do you think that will be possible for us??

Thank you so much for your response!

The reason why I chose those years is because it seemed like they had the most promising aspects, although I feel 2017 is too soon-as I still have to find a mate!!

I am planning ahead. I'm a professional dancer (among many other things) who started quite late. Now I am focusing on making the most of my artistry, etc. AND graduating to a higher tax bracket. Meanwhile I need to find time to date, as I'm currently single.

My last romantic partner happened to be a fertility specialist. I asked him about what he thought about freezing eggs, and basically he thought it was a marketing bonanza doctor's have tapped into...that there were so many factors involved in fertility, and that freezing my eggs wouldn't necessarily make me more fertile than a host of other procedures, etc.

Anyway, although for a while I was seriously considering it (I have a 43 year old friend who was never able to get pregnant, who's practically begging me to do it) But, I've decided (finances playing a key part) not to.
I figure if I get pregnant it's going to come from a spiritual sense of abundance, instead of conservation and debt-and that God will likely play the biggest role in it. I'm not religious, but I do believe in miracles, know people who have had children when the doctors said it would never happen, etc. so I have faith.

Yes...I think that Mars square to Jupiter is probably a psychological thing- Mars in the 12 - maybe it's a fear of 'going for it' a hesitation of sorts- like really wanting/desiring from within, but not having confidence to go full speed ahead (I've experienced this with my dancing)

The past life interpretation you mentioned resonates- as I've yearned for a child a long time now- so I guess the karmic influence would make sense- (SR Moon South node conjunction ) wonder if the Moon's exaltation in Taurus would make it a good karmic tie?? These things are fun to think about...

Thanks for this great news!!
You didn't seem so concerned about the Pluto square to the Cancer stellium (probably more appropriate for the relational section)

As my last relationship recently ended, it was new feeling of- 'Wow...when is it going to happen'? When is it all (career, $, love, etc.) going to come together? So now I'm doing my best, even as an artist, to be logical, and plan ahead.

I did notice my progressed fifth house will move into Pisces in March...I've read that when a progressed house changes signs, it's very significant- would you say that's true? If so, I would think that would also add some ammunition for a baby (as well as a boost to my dancing career and love life)

but- that aside, your observations have helped me hone in on the full astrological picture.I guess the natal chart is very important, but I think it also helps to go beyond that and synthesize all the influences.

There is so much to all this-it's quite amazing. Looking forward to your thoughts on my response.

Thank you!

K

Re: Astrology of fertility and children

ooops, sorry I don't come here often so I only just now saw your response

I do not look much at Pluto because this is traditional approach of delineation, although pluto in your first house gives you sort of drive towards you own goal and self, and in this context it gives a very real and powerful issues of being in control that you'll probably need to let go of eventually if you want your sun(also moon and venus) to shine

but it gives also a certain level of fatedness and inability to control what comes to you, being that it is in your first house. it can be very transformative if you work with it i associate influence of pluto with kundalini energy and physical aspect is important for psychological transformation.
but when it comes to children - yes god has everything to do with it so planning it is kind of futile, imo. Most of the people I know had their pregnancies babies at random times, mostly never when the originally intended to. I was also looking at my own solar returns for this out of curiosity but I know it can happen anytime and try not to fret about it to much, when the time is right it will come

it is obvious from you tenth house that career is very important to you but as women we all have to make a choice to sacrifice some part of our lives for motherhood at some point. Best of luck whenever you;re ready!

Re: Astrology of fertility and children

Hi!

It was nice to see your reply, as I figured when Mercury went direct I might hear from you.

It sounds like you may be in a similar situation-as it seems you 'get it'. If so, I'd be curious as to what your chart is like and if there may be any similarities (yes, I am I bit of an 'astro geek', I can't help it.

As for Pluto, I think you are spot on- funny enough, in may chart it's exactly conjunct the asteroid "Karma" (actually- maybe that isn't so funny )

I like your idea of my first house Pluto being connected to Kundalini energy-makes sense of my relationship with dance (many dancers at my age are heading toward the winter of their artistry- where as I feel I am just now reaching a peak)

I am not sure if you are familiar with chakra healer Cyndi Dale's work- but her last book 'Beyond Soul Mates' seems relevant- she goes into details about the various types of 'soul' relationships and karmic connections

I must admit I do feel an urge to 'get it right' on the relationship front, in any case, thanks again for your response!

k

Re: Astrology of fertility and children

I read an earlier post on the thread on looking at the 5th and 11th houses for clues in having children, they are opposite each other. I have Uranus in 5th (Scorpio) opposite Chiron in 11th (Taurus). Uranus rules my sun sign Aquarius conjunct the moon.

Re: Astrology of fertility and children

I'm a bit confused. First it says that 4th house is effective then it says the native with Lot of Children in 4th will have children at the end of their life?!

Also mine seems odd combo between good and bad. My LOC is in 1010 Gemini, falls in 4th. Gemini is not fertile, but 4th house is good. Also 5th is in Cancer, which is fertile, but the ruler, Moon is in Leo, which is not fertile. Also falls in the 6th house. Not good.
BUT then Mercury is in 11th which is good. -.-
This is confusing. Also I have Saturn between the lot and its ruler, so that's awful?

And what orb to use? I have Saturn at 715 Pisces and my LOC at 1010 Gemini? Please tell me the orb is no wider than 1-2 xD
