Medical Astrology Astrological diagnoses and other health issues are discussed here. Given that there are so many outer and inner influences on one's health (alimentation, sports, medication, past medical antecedents, state of mind, etc.), an astrological diagnosis is only one of many things to consider when determining your healthiness.

Re: Nephew with liver issues, sister in denial. Insight needed, please.

Cirrhotic processes are affinitive to Saturn; also, a secondary liver affinitive planet (after Jupiter) is Venus; in the boy's natal we can see a potential susceptibility to possible liver problems of a cirrhotic nature:
-Venus, in detriment in Scorpio, is posited in th rising sign (1st house = major affinity to physical health, as well as personality, etc)
-Saturn (cirrhotic processes) posited in earth Taurus, is opposed by both the ascending degree (9 Scorpio) and Venus
-cirrhosis often follows after inflammation: Mars (inflammation; also lord of the ascendant) squares Saturn and Mars in turn is squared by Venus
-cirrhosis in a teenager is UNCOMMON and quite unusual: notice Uranus (significator of unusual, uncommon, extraordinary things) is conjuncted by Mars, and is squared both by 1st house Venus and by 7th house Saturn.

I think the boy's susceptibility to hepatic problems is shown by the 1st house +4th House (4th house = genetic influences-and note that the South Node in conjunction with Neptune is also there in the 4th house) +7th house configuration, and the positions of, and inimical aspectual relationships among, Venus, Mars, Uranus and Saturn, in those houses...

Re: Nephew with liver issues, sister in denial. Insight needed, please.

First off let me say that I am so sorry to hear this and I will send positive energy to you and your family. My advise is not based on Astrology, and though it's also not a Drs advice, I work in the medical field and thought I'd offer some info.

When she said he has a touch of hepatitis, she just may mean inflammation, not actual hep c. The word hepatitis means liver inflammation. I think most likely he may have NASH, Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis, and that lead to his cirrhosis. Have the Drs said what they are planning to do? Once again I'm so sorry to hear this.
