Thank you kshantaram for all this work you've done. While I know very little of Vedic astrology, I think I have followed the insights you've shared fairly well. To respond:
asc lord sat debilated aries 3rd with rahu NNode,
aptitude for international social work,
good for initiative-progress but excessive risk taking and impulsive,
I have always had a draw to social work (hadn't thought of "international"), but instead of a social work program, I entered a university sociology program years ago. I still haven't finished the degree.
sat-rahu rise-fall in life, observe fast No-moon evenings, taking milk-fruits,
wear brown hessonite over pendant touching heart,
pray for welfare of ancestors,
observe death anniversaries in family religiously;
donate-serve at old age homes, old people in family-society;
Most definitely a rise-fall pattern. I have noticed that my progress towards goals and dreams followed a one-step-forward, two-steps-back pattern. Major severe depression stole a lot of my time while "underground"; spent lots of time aboveground putting out fires, trying to re-establish connections.
Very interesting - I have focused my bodywork career (registered massage therapist/sports focus) on engaging the over-fifty crowd in exercise - specifically resistance training, to gain better (maybe longer) quality of life, energy, and greater self-reliance.
Thank you so much for your advising on gems and observances - I respect and value these.
jup-sat opp, misjudgments and missed opportunities;
observe fast sat evenings; prayers to saint of faith,
offer yellow flowers at the alter at home fri evenings;
Yes, yes. Misjudgments and missed opportunities - I hear that!
9th lord venus elevated pisces 2nd good for family-finances,
selfless attitude, artistic-singing-teaching aptitudes, flowery language;
venus lord 9th from moon for luck, elevated;
moon-venus opp artistic aptitudes but stress in relationships;
Family finances growing up - this doesn't reflect. My family grew up in poverty and excessively nomadic, disrupted. This did, however, contribute to delaying education as you mentioned elsewhere.
Artistic aptitudes definitely - drawing, performing, dance. I was a professional singer for years, and am currently re-entering the sphere.
Stress in relationships - sometimes, yes. Most relationships are mystifying to me (the Neptune-Moon-Venus T-square?).
moon virgo 8th, critical attitude,good for audit-editorial-investigative roles;
moon 6th lord over 8th, success amidst adversity; chronic lung-intestinal issues etc;
cancer 6th preference for sensitive-intuitive work environments;
I am great in amateur editorial/investigative roles, I must say.
I have a mild form of asthma, since childhood.
Absolutely true of my work environments - I work in a chill, natural space where I dress comfortably, sometimes barefoot. Hardwood floors, natural light, smelling of essential oils. Most importantly, everyone is stable, supportive, and cares about their health and wellbeing. I love and need all this in my environment. I am very, very lucky to have this gift.
sun cap 12th, ambitious, hardworking, wanting to reach the top,
foreign lands; event management;
Event management has always been appealing (I considered it as a vocation) and I have produced successful and unique shows/events at the local level. But, deeply, I want to continue to achieve my dreams in music and art.
mars own scorpio 10th for career, growth-riches through own merit,
research-occult-forensic aptitudes, metallurgy, alchemy, police, defense, etc
Have always been drawn to the metaphor of alchemy-as-transformation in relationships. I love tools and marksmanship; I even took firearms training so that I could do target-shooting. I had also considered the military or security as a vocation (are you getting a theme here, of not being sure of what to do with my life...), years ago. I knew I'd be a good fit.
As it turns out now, I've drifted towards sports, personal training, and body mechanics in my soft tissue therapies. I treat athletes - also a good fit. I think Neptune and Mars in my 10th are perfect symbols for where I've ended up today in terms of a career. I wish to expand their vibrations - where they become more about art and performance. If I can discipline myself (Cap, Saturn) in refining my musical knowledge and skills, those vibrations will hopefully ring out.
Perhaps tellingly, I have done a good deal of scientific and practical research into "the athletic musician" - how the physical demands of full time musicians are very similar to those of pro athletes (using smaller muscle groups and different metabolic processing).
jup now year ahead transit sag 11th, gains through advisory roles,
elders, teachers, gurus, consultants;
trine aries 3rd for initiative; trine leo 7th for marriage-relationship-business;
This is something. I have just recently been asked to serve as body-mechanics advisor/coach at my studio.
wonder whether inclined to selflessly reform jail prisoners etc,
forensic investigative psychology-jail management, etc etc as examples;
I instinctually know that I'd be a good fit for forensic investigative psychology. My endless vacillations never brought me to that path, though.
Who I am now would not want to spend time in a prison environment. I am a sun worshipper, and cannot stand the sound of clanging metal. But, I guess that would be the sacrifice, right?
kshantaram, any insights you have had about the Father - I have had a terrible history with that, so they are definitely on track. Perhaps for another post!
Thank you again, kshantaram! I am looking forward to uploading my chart into the Natal Chart thread with my own interpretations/insights sometime.
