The problem of aspect exaction and synchronicity

Anyone else find that the exaction of an aspect is generally inconsequential when predicting events? Is orb and whether the aspect is separating or applying and other similar factors more important?

I know, from the title you might've expected a very detailed report about my view, but I'm looking for discussion.
