Pain from Gyne...should I start to be concerned?

My gynecologist did a saline ultrasound one month ago and I am still having pain that started after it. The pain has changed a little, but doctor is not sure what the issue could be. I have tried all my at home remedies that could help but it is still present. I am feeling very lost and I don't know if I should really amp up looking for the solution (I am looking for new doctors) or if the pain will go away on its own.

Asc Lord Venus has just entered the fourth house from the cluster of planets in the third house. Right now communication is jumbled because the gyne has essentially washed their hands of me, but also because the office in general is very very bad at following up with patients and communicating with them.

I think there's some hope but I don't know enough to see whether I should get an MRI done to see if there is some underlying issue? Will this issue pass?

Are you able to get a different doctor? I'd suggest getting a second opinion on your condition from a new doctor, and then s/he would be the one to determine any further procedures.

Both you as querent and the genital organs (8th house) are ruled by Venus. Venus is in her own face (decans) but this isn't a really strong position. The 6th house is ruled by Mars, and Chiron in the 6th suggests that you are feeling pain. The next major aspect of Venus is a square with Mars.

Mars can suggest some inflamation or infection.

Thanks, I scheduled a second opinion but that appointment is 3 weeks out and I'm very distraught at what else I can do. I domt hold much confidence that this can get resolved because a simple diagnostic test caused this pain. I am currently on antibiotics to treat a possible infection but current tests right now point to that theres no infection. Does there seem to be any hope in the chart of this resolving?

Hello Doodleloo
if you could provide us some information related to your original question:
is the real question: when the pain is going to pass? or what's wrong with my health? i am asking this cause you seem certain that this pain is from the saline ultrasound
also was this a routine check or you had other related problems?
what exactly are the symptoms you are facing? you said pain but you didnt specify..do you have this pain or your belly, stomach, genitals, uterus...where exactly? do you have also other symptoms cause you are speaking about treatment with antibiotics..did the specific doctor prescribed them after you mentioned these symptoms or you did that yourself?

Well I didnt have this issue until after the ultrasound so that is why I know it has to be related. But I dont know what the actual issue is, but that's not really the concern in my horary. Antibiotics cant be gotten without a prescription where I am and I did an after hours care thing since my dr is so AWOL. I am more concerned with how serious the underlying issue of this pain is or if it will go away on it's own without having to go back to the doctor. I'm quite worried and it will be weeks before I have an apt with a specialist. The pain is usually on my pelvis left side. Like where you would think an ovary/uterus is? Sometimes it moves but its very rare and always comes back, pain is fairly constant even upon waking up

As I suggested, Mars could signify some kind of inflammation, or an infection. Venus doesn't catch up with Mars until mid-January, after both have changed signs, and then the square suggests some difficulties. Ditto for the moon conjuncting Saturn. So it seems important for you to be patient. As Aria Venue noted, the problem may related more to the reason why you needed the procedure, vs. the procedure itself.

Prior to responding to your question I googled "saline ultrasound" and found that some women do experience severe pain from the procedure; a few of them have long term pain. I can only imagine that this relates to the saline solution or perhaps air bubbles in it, getting into places where it shouldn't.

I claim no medical expertise, so always recommend that querents consult a medical doctor. But the following herbs shouldn't do you any harm, even if they don't help: raspberry leaf tea and fresh plantain (Plantago major) if you can find it where you live. (It's a common garden weed.) Raspberry leaf is supposed to be helpful for gynecological problems, and plantain is one of the basic herbs helpful against inflammation.

I hope you feel better soon.

Unfortunately I use red raspberry leaf tea during my periods and that had no effect :( I cant take it constantly because it actually makes my nose congested over time. I could try finding the other thing though, I have never heard of it. Thank you for the tip!

From what I've looked up, I've long past the point where it should still be hurting just based on having the procedure itself. I have suspected that whatever was causing my painful periods might have been triggered as a result of the procedure. Is that what you are trying to say?

Well my next appointment is with my general doctor on monday. But any specialist I will see will end up being in the middle and end of January. Is this just a problem that I need to ride out? Does it look like I am dealing with long term complications?

Doodleloo why did you have the saline ultrasound? i asked you before but you didnt specify the reason..was that a yearly check up? are you facing some problems with your menstruation cycle?or fertility..etc... you wrote heavy periods...so i am really trying to understand if you had other gynecological symptoms unrelated to this pain in order to do this ultrasound...and i suppose you know that this method is not suitable in cases the querent has a pelvic inflammatory disease..so cause in this chart there are different testimonies which suggest other issues i would please ask you once more to clarify the reason you chose saline ultrasound or your doctor said that this would be appropriate for your case

*Saline infusion sonohysterography (SIS or SHG) is a procedure to evaluate the uterus and the shape of the uterine cavity. SHG uses ultrasound and sterile fluid to show the uterus and endometrial (uterine lining) cavity. The ovaries are also seen at the time of SHG. The purpose is to detect any abnormalities. The most common serious complication with SHG is pelvic infection. However, this occurs less than 1% of the time and usually occurs when a woman also has a block or infection of the fallopian tubes.

It was suggested by my gyne to maybe start to get some idea on if I had any problems inside since I have painful periods, and I also had a regular ultrasound done elsewhere before this for the same issue but the pictures weren't good and she recommended to do this instead of redoing a regular one for a better image inside. But if I had PID before I certainly didnt know about it.

Doodleoo, from what I've read about your medical procedure, any discomfort should not last more than a few days.

I'm not a professional astrologer: possibly you should consult one if you feel frustrated with the responses you're getting here.

The common plantain is just generally used against inflammation of various sorts, not specifically gynecological problems. Another herb you might try is dong quai, a Chinese herb. I don't know if there is an experienced Chinese herbalist in your area, but it might be worth looking into.

Your illness is a 6th house matter, ruled by Mars, these normally are of short duration. But then "short" is relative, compared say, to a life-long condition or one lasting several years. Obviously we have to "ride out" problems of unknown cause or cure.

What concerns me about your chart is all of those planets bunched up in Capricorn in the third house, including your moon applying to a conjunction with Saturn. Unless you are old enough to be pre-menopausal, I don't know what the third house and Capricorn are showing. I am not at all suggesting that your problem is psychosomatic, but I wonder if extreme anxiety has something to do with painful periods or your extreme discomfort now. Many health problems are exacerbated by stress or fear, and yours may be one of them. In any event, it can't hurt for you to try some basic relaxation techniques.

Please let us know how you're getting on after your medical appointments. I hope you feel better soon.

I've had painful periods ever since they started, constantly taking advil for it, and they started before I had anything to be really stressed about. The pain from the US is different. Obviously I will try to be as relaxed as possible. But I am confident something is the matter. I know this isnt normal. It physical hurts to touch and the pain lingers and effects how I walk. The appointments are far out and doctors are unsure and this is overwhelming me. The next conclusion shouldn't have to be that nothing is there and that it is due to stress just because a doctor doesnt know.

Anyway, I know its always important to consider factors outside of an astrology chart. But I've already done that and theres still so much time before I get any real answer. That's why I posted this chart. That's why a lot of people post horary charts. For questions that will eventually show the answer but they would like to have an idea now.

Edit: it also makes me wonder if I posted the right time. Earlier in the week I had thought to post a chart but decided not to, but the second time I felt the urge I decided to do it. I wonder if I made the chart invalid to begin with

Common Advil side effects may include:

  • upset stomach, mild heartburn, nausea, vomiting

I'm fully aware of the side effects. If you're in pain you're not going to care in the moment, you want relief. The only person who talks to me about how dangerous advil is is my dad, and he doesnt even get periods. I dont need you to explain that to me. I dont understand the point of your whole post, I already said I have appointments set up, but I wanted to know what would happen ahead of time. That is literally the whole point of horary. Or at least, a big part of it.
